    Yuzu iced tea

It's BINGSU long since I've last visited @ye.stage.and.tea , but I'm so glad I was able to stop by again! This hidden gem on the third floor above California Market specializes in traditional Korean teas and desserts, which you can tell are high quality and authentic by all the ahjussis and ahjummas that visit the cafe. In addition to brewed teas, their menu also features boong-o-bbang, bingsu, Korean cookies/pastries, coffee, and non-caffeinated lattes. I appreciated the soothing traditional Korean string music playlist and occasional live music performances, and this place is definitely a better spot for working/studying in comparison to the loud, crowded trendy cafes in the area. The cafe also has free WiFi, restrooms for customers, and free parking in the structure. Featured here: strawberry bingsu: this was beautifully presented, although I wish the ice crystals were more delicate. Definitely make sure to ask for condensed milk with this! boong-o-bbang: these are freshly made, and come in flavors such as cheese, red bean, custard and more! matcha and strawberry latte: this drink consistently mostly of milk, with a bit of matcha syrup on the bottom and strawberry jam. black sesame latte: I liked how this wasn't too sweet and had a strong, authentic flavor of sesame. It tastes more like a black sesame milk slushie

Ye Stage & Cafe has a cozy, traditional Korean-inspired decor that shows the owner really cares about every detail. The boong-O-bbang (Taiyaki) is chewy and mochi-like - super delicious. The latte is rich and thick, a bit heavier for me, but my friend loved it. The Korean cookie and waffle set was something unique that you won't easily find elsewhere. The bathroom is super clean and well-kept! Parking is free in the California Market building with plenty of spaces. The staff are super friendly and welcoming.

One thing about K-town restaurants is that they generally don't have much in terms of desserts and after dinner drinks. But fortunately for us, K-town has "coffee shops" on practically every block. One of my favorites is Ye Stage & Tea on the roof top floor of the California Marketplace. The ladies who run the place always give great advice and treat us like family. And they take such care with their desserts and drinks that you feel like they're giving you dishes straight from a cookbook photo shoot. Absolutely delicious and they purposely give so much space between tables that you and your group have plenty of privacy. Just a wonderful place to finish off a night in K-town.

Ye Stage & Tea was a random spot I stumbled across when exploring the California Market. Decided to give it a try, since there wasn't any other options for drinks. This place was a hidden gem! The staff was very helpful in answering all questions about the types of drinks and about the store. I ordered the strawberry smoothie (with oat milk) and got it within a few minutes. When ordering, the staff gave many options to substitute for milk, which I appreciated as someone that is lactose intolerant! They gave me a ringer that will notify me when the order was ready, which was helpful while I was looking around at the other shops. The drink was on the sweeter side and a bit more icy. It was very refreshing and I definitely loved it! Inside the store, there are plenty of tables available. Throughout the store, you will find very unique decor and also a stage in the back.

Best cafe ever! Located on a rooftop - you can see the Hollywood sign! Lots of traditional teas. The taiyaki was so well made - mochi dough. Amazing ambiance - great place to gather or just focus on work. Had wifi, outlets, bathroom, and parking. Hope to be back soon :)

A beautiful and tasty escape from the city- the space is cozy and bright and comforting. The outdoor seating is also chill and feels like a getaway. In or out it's a perfect vibe for conversation or focused work. My All time fave drink is the matcha latte- it's rich and sweet but not too sweet, and the authentic matcha flavor is super satisfying. I think we've only been served by the owner- a little serious but friendly vibe.

If you're looking for a charming, peaceful spot to indulge in some unique and delicious treats, this traditional Korean-themed cafe is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, the cozy atmosphere immediately transports you to a serene corner of Korea, with its warm wood accents, minimalist design, and soft, ambient music. The rice croffles were so unique. Imagine a perfect fusion of waffle and croissant -- light, crispy, and just the right amount of sweetness. The texture is divine, with a subtle chewiness inside and a golden, buttery crisp outside. Pair it with their sweetened rice drink( shikhe) which is a refreshing, creamy beverage that feels like a hug in a cup. It's not overly sweet, just delicately flavored with rice and a hint of sweetness that complements the croffle beautifully. Service is friendly and attentive, and you can tell the owners really care about creating a welcoming, authentic experience. Whether you're a first-timer or a regular, this place offers a quiet, cozy escape from the hustle and bustle, along with an unforgettable culinary experience. There were a lot of people studying on their laptops at the cafe when I went in the evening. The very kind lady at the front helped me with item recommendations, and even charged my airpods for me when I asked if they had chargers availabile! She spoke so beautifully too. It made me think that this cafe was kind of like walking into a museum..! Highly recommend! It's also a great place to bring your mom or grandma, I think they'd love it.

Came here to study and it is clean and spacious! Wifi is good, easy parking, alot of outlets. However they play traditional music quite loudly which has alot of loud and sudden beats which threw me off a bit. I got an iced americano which was decent along with the rice cake waffle which was overpriced but not bad. The blueberries on top of the waffle were frozen which was unexpected. Service was a little slow as my friends yuzu tea took 15 min to come out.

Ambiance: the tea room is spacious and also serves as a music venue, stylish decorations with traditional Korean elements Service: very friendly and patient with questions, served the drink adequately Drink: standard drink with specialty Mocha Premium Latte - **** bold flavors, recommend Matcha and Strawberry None Espresso Latte - **** beautiful presentation and sweet taste, recommend Price: overall good quality, each drink costs about $8~$10 per order

We were looking for a coffee/tea & dessert place to chill and just chitchat a bit more. Came across the building of California Supermarket ??? Anyway, went upstairs and there were several eating places and in the middle is a very cozy area to sit & enjoy the view or your food. Going back to Ye, my friend ordered a latte & i had tea. We also had shaved ice and waffle-ish. Staff was really accomodating because we were asking for a lot of questions. We sat outside and he even brought our orders to us. We were there for hours, lol. Good place, good food, what more can you ask for?

In my search of tea shops, a friend recommended this place and I am amazed. The barista did an excellent job with answering questions and making me feel comfortable. The ambiance is perfect and full of Korean decor and artwork. The tea selection is very broad and a good amount to choose from and it is made with fresh ingredients. The food selection is broad and full of plenty options. My tea was so refreshing and delicious and so were the cookies/ Whether you want to come and be by yourself, with friends or get work done this place is perfect!

This is Jongmyo Shrine, not a palace but a Confucian royal shrine in Seoul, South Korea. Jongmyo is dedicated to the memorial services.

This is a rare gem in Korea town or in Los Angeles overall. Starbucks? Tom & Toms? Other chic cafes? But they are all crowded and noisy, which I can't stand. I go to a cafe to relax and kind of Zen into my own space. And this is uniquely possible at Cafe Ye or Ye Cafe. And even the tea, drinks and food are great! Can you believe that?! And even the interior is great and stylish, decorated without crowding the space, sparingly, which is important for my psychological peace. This place is run by an organist wife and Korean musical (pan-sori) singer husband, and the cafe is actually a mini stage with all the due lighting so that there are occasional musical performances. Whenever I go to L.A. and either have spare time to spend or need to work on my weekly speech, I go here with my iPad pro, order a tea or coffee and the fish-shaped dessert called Taiyaki (which comes with 3 kinds of innards: sweet red bean paste, curtard or matcha cream), and start working on my speech manuscript. 2 weeks ago, I couldn't but take photos of the inside with my Sony A7C camera.

Matcha einspener: I tasted this and immediately loved it when leaving the store. I saved it for last. It was so light and refreshing. I could easily drink it all day if they had a bigger size lol. I was hoping to try the seasonal mango cream matcha, but sadly it was gone. 3. Pastries: I wanted to try the sampler but I don't thinking they had it yet. I tried one of the cinnamon pastries. There's fabric couches on the floor that are dingy and weird, people take up way more space than they should so you have to awkwardly wait for someone to get up and leave and take their spot. People are kissing and being super PDA even though you're one millimeter away from them. If an orgy started here I really would not be surprised. The tea is given to you in a teeny tiny cup, so you'll need to get up a lot to go get your refill and money's worth. Then you're worried some vulture will swoop in and take your spot. Looking around, I can see it's a very profitable place for them seeing as it's $50 a head for a pretty mid experience. This place is literally the definition of looks can be deceiving. It looks beautiful, spacious, and enticing on instagram but it's small and weird. If you're claustrophobic or easily grossed out, spare yourself. Oh, and if you have to go to the bathroom you'll have to go do that barefoot, too. It's also in a super sketch area so if you aren't lucky enough to get parking right out front then good luck. I want my $100 back. Do NOT recommend. Soo many better places in LA.
