First time trying this place after hearing some hype and comparison to chipotle, and it did not disappoint! My favorite part is probably the consistency of the portions and the flavors that all come together. We got the chicken bowl and it was more than enough to fill you up or even have leftovers(which I did). You also get tortillas on the side, corn or flour, which is great. They have a variety of agua frescas that switch out so depends on the day. The workers were friendly and there was plenty of seating inside and out! The pork was delicious - the meat was tender and everything that complemented it was on point. I liked that each taco had its own curated toppings because the specific ingredients to accompanied both really enhanced the flavor of the taco. There is ample seating outdoors with a decent amount of shade. When we came, it wasn't busy at all which was strange because it was right around lunch time on a weekend. This place reminds me of a more upscale Chipotle with their plates basically Chipotle's version of a burrito bowl. Their plate comes with your choice of protein, rice, beans, etc... As my side, I decided on the flour tortillas, which they say they make fresh every day. Over all, I didn't think the value was there. All of the meats were braised in a tomato based sauce with different spice levels. The beef is birria and is not spicy at all. I imagined it to be dry but they seasoned it so well it tasted like adobada. Loved that it came with guacamole and pickled onions with cilantro. I would rate the spicy level at a 3 out of ten. By far my favorite taco was the pork. Slowly braised in this tomato and cumin sauce so savory. They serve it Hawaiian style with pineapple and pickled onions with cilantro.
