I just moved to Phoenix and was so happy I found Lora Moon Styling! Mikayla was my stylist and she did an AMAZING job! Wow! Since I wanted extensions, I came in a week prior to service for a 10 min consultation so Mikayla could order the proper extensions for my hair type. Then on, style day, Mikayla colored, installed the extensions AND cut w style and blow dry. From start to finish, it only took 4 hours. As you can see, it looks like a million bucks. I feel like a new person! She even cut bangs, which I haven't had since I was a little girl and they look fantastic! I am over the moon w the end result and I am now hooked on Lora Moon Styling! Thank YOU so much, Mikayla! You are a true, natural artist! Ya'll Mikayla really is. I felt like she could do all of this in her sleep, she is that talented! Lora's salon is beautiful! Such a good vibe, very clean, and a breath of fresh air from most salons that just smell of product. I love the product line that they use which is clean and high quality. My daughter and I had a fun "girls time" by coloring our hair at Lora Moon Styling. My daughter had her end colored and I got highlights to hide my grays. The salon is very clean, bright, with relaxing music and green decor. Our stylist Tatum was very friendly and courteous. She swiftly colored and cut our hair to our liking. :) Everyone wears masks, so we felt comfortable even coming to the salon during COVID. We will be back :) and recommend to our friends. Go see Kaitlin (sp?)! Loved her low key vibe and the ease of chatting with her made my afternoon stress-free, relaxing, and fun. She is thoughtful about your comfort always asking if anything was needed (drink, cell phone, feet propped up, etc). It takes 2+ hours in the chair for my highlight and cut and she made the time fly. The crown on top was that she transformed my crown on top! I now have shiny and healthy looking strands of beige blond and I am loving it. I had specifically selected Brendan because of his experience in precision cuts. I could not be more pleased with my experience. He listened to what I wanted, offered his feedback and suggestions. Meet the Business Owner: Lora M.

Lora Moon has been a hair stylist/master colorist for over 15 years. Lora is dedicated to establishing and maintaining a team of highly trained and personable hair care experts that share her values of customer care and satisfaction. I came in to get highlights in my hair, expecting one of the professionals to help me out. After I get there, some random dude comes out who barely speaks English. Barely asks me questions about what I want, and barely talks about what he is going to do starts to do the cap thing on my head. He was extremely rough using the tool, stabbing my head very hard. After he finishes he finishes dying my hair, charges me $300 then when I ask how to maintain it he responds "I trust you will make the right decisions"... like no I know nothing about this, this was my first time. Then a couple hours later, when it drys, I look at it and it looks TERRIBLE. The sides of my head looked like I had cheetah print and the top was VERY orange. After I realize. I go back in a couple days later. After having to take time off of work because of how bad it looked and how anxious it made me. They agreed that it looked terrible and they told me that they would fix it free of charge.... They schedule me for the next day and I come in, then as they start they say "btw we are going to charge you $150 for this". They said this AFTER they started and told me they'd fix it for free. Then I asked why it wasn't free anymore and they ignored the question and walked away. When I went to the register they gave me a product to buy and told me I had to pay and when I asked why it wasn't free anymore again, they said because a different person fixed it. Which made no sense because they scheduled me with her and said it would be free to fix. Again, normally I don't leave reviews. Look at my profile for proof. This was such an incredibly terrible experience, save your money and your mental health and go somewhere else.

I am always on the hunt for a great salon with friendly girls, and a nice atmosphere. I got that, and more when I visited Lora Moon's little salon in Scottsdale. Although small, the decor is homey and stylish, creating a warm and comfortable environment as soon as I walked in the door. I was greeted right away by a sweet girl who offered me hot tea, a personal favorite of mine. I would have been more than happy to wait on the comfy sofa browsing Elle magazine but I didn't have to wait one minute! Mindy was fabulous, she took her time with me, asking detailed questions about my hair, my personal style and what I really wanted. She was chatty and friendly the entire time, and worked absolute magic on my unruly curls. As a first-time customer, I am so pleased with both the color and cut I received from Lora yesterday. She has a great eye for color and I love how my color and highlights turned out -- it looks natural but with more depth and shine than my natural hair color. The cut is very flattering and works well with my natural hair texture. Prices were slightly higher than what I was paying at my previous salon, but worth it considering the color expertise and skill level that was involved. The salon is beautifully decorated, and I was offered a choice of beverages as well as a muffin, which was very nice. After reading many great reviews about Lora Moon on NextDoor, I decided to give it a try. I was going to the Queen concert that night and needed a hair trim. Although I didn't have an appointment, I figured what the heck, it's worth a shot as a Walk-In customer. Well I lucked out and was able to get a haircut with their Master Stylist, Giselle Von Schell. I wanted a dry cut (my hair always works better that way because I have a cow lick and a few extra-wavy spots) and to keep my overall hairstyle but just give it more shape and movement. Giselle did a great job! She added some long, light layers which really made a difference (my hair is super thick). I have difficult hair to work with and I'm very picky. I asked Lora for ideas on what I can do differently. I wasn't after the same old boring trim and I wanted a change. I got referred to Jackie Macias by a friend and after my treatment I can see why. She is the best! For the first time I tried the GK treatment. I have done the Brazilian Blowout before but this was my first experience with the Global Keratin treatment. Both gave me straighter hair however the GK seemed to make my hair softer. Jackie was knowledgeable about the product. She guided me through the process and then gave me instructions on what not to do after the treatment was completed. The process took a good 2 hours but the time seemed to fly by when your being entertained by Jackie. This treatment is now saving me 80% blow dry time daily!!!! I've had a lot of hair cuts in my day, and let me tell you, Sara at Lora Moon provides the best experience I've ever had. Being new to Arizona I struggled to find a good place I can trust and after a lot of average experiences, I finally found my home. Sara has spent years perfecting her craft and it shows. I find myself looking forward to getting haircuts now and when I do, it is the highlight of my month. The "Sara Special" always leaves me satisfied and pleased. The only downside is when you have to leave and wait for your hair to grow before you get to come back for more. Elle did my hair for my wedding day (elaborate up do), cut many hairstyles (from blunt to layered), dyed my natural brown hair bleach blonde to vibrant red, and recently even did a natural perm. Every time I have been completely happy with the results and have gotten so many compliments. She is just so knowledgeable about the current styles and products she uses. I only get my hair done by Sara at Lora Moon Styling, and I have been going to her for 2 years now. She is the absolute best at balayage, haircuts, and blow outs! The products the salon uses are super high quality organic products that make my hair feel AMAZING! Even when I get a lightening, my hair feels strong, healthy, and soft. Honestly, it is pretty crazy how good my hair feels after I get it done. I always leave Sara's chair feeling beautiful. Also, the salon is so cute, with plants everywhere. Great salon with friendly stylists. The salon is clean and comfortable with complimentary drinks and pastries. I see Giselle who has been cutting and styling my hair for over 10 years. She is nothing less than amazing. She is extremely knowledgable with cuts, color, styling, etc. She is truly an expert stylist who will consult with you each time you go in to find the perfect cut for your hair. She will customize the treatments used on your hair depending on what your hair needs at the time of your appointment (glaze, extra moisture, more color, less color). Heather H. is absolutely the best. I have no doubt she is capable of miracles! I sat in her chair after I had the unfortunate experience of a color & blonde highlight gone wrong...VERY WRONG. Heather took the time to fix what I did not believe could be fixed. My hair was falling out by the hand full, burnt so badly it looked like a cotton ball, and the lovely shades of orange, platinum, yellow, and a few others is what she was faced with. I had such trouble with people styling my hair before (incredibly thick and curly) until I met Lauren/Elle! She was the first stylist who knew what to do with my hair! She always did a fantastic job. She cut my hair perfectly and just that way I liked it. I always had it up in a bun before because every stylist cut my hair like a triangle. I started wearing it down for the first time after Lauren cut my hair the way curly hair should be cut, it had great layers and body but not that crazy poof. Mindy Cable, my stylist, is very talented with both cut and color. She listens to me, looks at all the photos I bring in and is very thoughtful about her approach to my really fine, really thick hair. Seriously, I fly in from Colorado to see her! I recently discovered a new Scottsdale hair solon. My first impression on the Solon was the same as every other, but this solon focuses mainly on eco friendly products that provide natural health to hair instead of simply coating it temporarily with amateur hair care products. My hair was done by Lora Moon herself, who informed me that each stylist that works there are hair color specialists. All of her employees are friendly, and love what they do. I was nervous to do so but, Lori who answered my call, made it so easy to for me to make the decision to make that change. She didn't rush me off the phone; she listened to my concerns and led me to a great colorist/stylist. Jackie colored and cut my hair. I have had numerous stylists over my many years and by far Lora is my favorite and the best. My cut always looks perfect, clean and well shaped. I have paid a lot more in other pricey salon's and was not happy with the results. Plus, after much consternation on my part, I finally convinced myself to let her color my hair. This is something I never would have considered in anyone else hands or salon, I trusted her that much and it turned our GREAT.
