"But it still looks good" is not an appropriate thing to say when you explicitly tell the stylist you only want 1.5 - 2 inches of length taken off and then they take SIX inches instead! Lora Moon recently cut my hair and we talked about color. I was blonde but it was fading out. She suggested that a pretty light brown color might be better with my skin tone and I agreed, even tho I didn't want that much of a change. I made another appt with her for coloring a week later. When I came to the second appt she couldn't remember what we talked about so I reminded her. After the rinse I could tell it was too dark. She never asked me if I like it. When I got home it was a very, very dark brown color that I didn't like at all. I called the shop the next morning and Laura didn't call me back until that evening and then didn't offer to get me back in until two days later, even though I was very upset. Here is the worst of it. The 1-1/2 hours she took to fix it, she barely spoke a word to me and acted very irritated that I wasn't happy with my hair color. At the end, she proceeded to 1. critize my former hair coloring lady that my hair was "fried" before 2. told me that there are cycles to hair coloring and I should know this because I'm wasn't a 20 year old and 3. AGAIN never asked me if I liked the color that I ended up with. Lora - you are the owner of this company, PLEASE care more about your clients and what they want!!! I had a cut with Caitlin on Friday and I was hoping that the shock and awe of how horribly my hair looks would wear off 3 days later but unfortunately it is the worst hair cut I have ever had. It's shorter than asked for, thin, choppy, different lengths and has a chunk missing out of one side. The back is noticeably longer that the front leaving me with a mullet look from the side. There's goes the family photos we had schedule.. the owner was nice when I called and she would be happy to fix it but at this point there's not much hair left to fix and a refund would have served me better. I did have a much better experience when Bill cut my hair, why did he have to retire, sigh. read more

I was greeted at the door and offered a glass of water. My stylist Sara did a wonderful job. Very sweet girl and friendly. Took her time on my hair and did a good job. This will be my new go to place to get my hair done. Pricing is also fair in my opinion. I got a cut, full color with hair treatment/mask, and bought three products..all for $317 total. It's so scary to go to a new hair salon as you never know what you'll get and if they will ruin your hair. I am so thrilled to have happened upon Lora Moon. The reception there is warm and welcoming. Jackie did my hair and she is amazing. I told her I was a little unsatisfied with my prior style and she could do what she thought I needed. The color was spot on and looks so nice and rich. The texture is great so I don't know if it's the color products they use or what, but I'm loving it. She fixed my cut also and it is working much better for me.
