Further away from my hotel but I remember how much this one was outstanding. Today was no different. This will be my spot when I'm in town in Northern California. They have everything. A little bit older system when it comes to some of the equipment and as well as the massage chairs, but I mean end of the day if I gotta put a coin inside a massage chair to get it to work do I really care? The end result is that a massages and get you what you're looking for so I ain't got no complaints. All the equipment is a little bit older but you know what if you're doing it right it doesn't matter if it's older or new.

My life partner Joe K and I used to come here regularly to work out together. Then his health quickly declined, and our sessions had to stop. After his passing, I wondered if I would ever have the courage to step foot back into this place. The memories are still clear in my mind. At first, I tried to get back into exercising, by walking and riding my bike. Then, I received some amazing information from my medical insurance (namely Kaiser), that I was eligible to sign up for their Kaiser Health Advantage "Silver & Fit" program. I was excited to find out that this perk is included in my health insurance! I was even more excited to discover that Planet Fitness is on their list of participating gyms! That's when I made the decision to get off of the sofa and start getting back into a regular work out routine. My hope was to focus more on myself and get out of this depression. I was impressed that Planet Fitness had made some improvements by upgrading all of their equipment with easier to adjust and use models. They also play overhead upbeat, high energy music that helps improve my mood. I'm starting to feel more fit and have even lost a little weight after making my self improvement commitment. I try to come in when it is less crowded by checking their app and online crowd meter. It's nice that this gym is open 24 hours (except on holidays). My hope is to stay addicted to fitness! Keeping one's mind and body in positive condition is necessary for living a better life. The few disappointments I have, are with some of the lazy fellow members who lack courtesy and cleanliness while using the equipment we all must share. Also, when I use the cardio equipment that have television listening capabilities, they won't tune in to the last 2-3 TV's that are available for viewing. They only connect to the first 8 TV's. Another annoyance is, when the paper towel dispensers are out. Maybe a red light / green light system on top would attract attention of staff members. Or maybe a little flag for customers to flip up like mail boxes have. LOL! (Yes, I have alerted staff members when I get the chance, but it's not always convenient). Otherwise, I could give my experience a 5 star review! Don't forget to say hi to their friendly resident Planet Fitness workout guru: Michael S!

Came here through a guest pass from a friend!…read more I came here to try out the classes and they are very high quality. The 7-day pass that I got from my friend allowed me access to 7 classes. At some point I did receive an email where they extended my pass by two days which was nice. This allowed me to try another 4 classes. Overall, I tried Ride (cycling), Reform, Hot Pilates, Yoga Flow, and their boxing class. The instructors do know how many times you've been to their class based on the roster and they either know or you can tell them it's your first class so they can make sure they watch out for you if you need help. Ride with Becca and Thuy was very fun! The lights and music are so fun. Becca was so kind as to advise us that the "side bars" (seating on the sides) was no fun, so she tried to seat me and my partner together in the main area for the bikes, which she ended up being able to accommodate. My partner and I did end up on the side bars for Thuy's hip hop x kpop ride and it was definitely not as cool, but still fun nontheless, because Thuy had such great energy and she brought these little light sticks for us to have fun with (to keep as a souvenir, as well!) Anyway, Becca was also such a fun instructor! I am impressed that the other gym goers are so good at remembering choreography and following along. I've done Isa's classes for Hot Pilates and Yoga Flow and her instruction is great. I feel very relaxed but also empowered doing her classes. They are done in the Sweat+ room, so it does get warm. A lot of people have yoga towels for their mats and I would say that's a great idea. The main downside of the Sweat+ room is that at the front of the class there are ants...not sure if they have noticed that, hence I knocked a star off. Reform was nice! I had one of the instructors twice and she knew it was my first time so she made sure to keep an eye out for me if I wasn't particularly sure about what to do. It's nice that the instructors walk around the room to help make adjustments. The instructors do vary on difficulty level, so I would say try out multiple instructors to find the one that suits your level. I appreciated that the reform instructors handed out sanitary wipes for us to wipe the equipment down after use. Their boxing class with Jacob was great. His energy is infectious and you can't NOT have fun in there! He was very welcoming and inclusive even though I had some struggles remembering the moves. I would say overall, you would very likely get used to the moves in each of these classes. The instructors are very enthusiastic and care about their members. I would say that the front desk staff have also been very friendly and helpful. Overall, facilities are fairly new and clean. I did also try out their recovery area with the leg compression only, which I believe all of the services in here is for a premium. The other trade off for this gym is that if you want to do the sled push, you would be in the center of the gym where everyone can essentially watch you. I haven't really tried out their equipment but it looks pretty good. Outside of the class rooms, there are areas where you can practice mat exercises. I think I would consider a membership here; the costs are worth it if you are thinking about doing their classes on a regular basis.

Unfortunately, manager Brennah and the rest of the management seriously lack customer service. My recent experience was very disappointing. I checked in at 12:30 p.m., but the CS4 door was already closed and I wasn't allowed in. The door shouldn't be closed before the posted check-in time, especially when many members are coming during their lunch break. For a gym that charges premium membership fees, I expect better customer service and more reasonable policies. A gym should help reduce stress, not create more of it. The coaches deserve five stars, but the management has a lot of room for improvement.

The Laguna location has been going downhill since Nusha left to manage Bond, which I hear is a great location. Since then, the managers are managers in name only. Since her departure, the other managers do not know how to manage. The current manager needs a manager to teach them how to do their job. They do not require the employees to do the job they're getting paid to do. The M-F morning housekeeper is great, but she should not have to spend her first few hours EVERY SHIFT doing the job the closing crew and the evening housekeeper from the last shift REFUSED to do! Trash EVERYWHERE this morning! Also the equipment was scattered on the floor, weight bars still had plates on them, dumbbells on the floor creating tripping hazards. When you go to the gym for a planned workout, you have in mind which equipment you're going to use. This morning, the machine I was going to use was broken, as was the backup. More than half of the machines need repair, with most of them not even tagged that they cannot be used! And once it is tagged, it'll remain unusable for months! Customers pay dues for a clean, safe, and usable gym. They DO NOT pay dues to encounter broken equipment in a filthy unsafe workout area!

Sunday morning: 30+ people waiting for ONE basketball court, while another full court was reserved for volleyball with just one person using it. This isn't a one-time issue -- it's clear mismanagement of limited space. When dozens of paying members are standing around and an entire court sits basically empty, something is seriously wrong. Scheduling courts by preset sport type instead of actual demand makes zero sense. It leads to overcrowding, frustration, and people walking out. And no, renting a court is not a solution. Members are already paying monthly fees. Being told to pay extra for space that's clearly underused -- especially by a rude staff member -- just makes it worse. Around 11:30 I went to court 3, I saw a lot of people shooting the hoop in 40+ ft up, and that kid was still playing solo there. And the gym still allowed it. What a joke. If you care about actually being able to use the facilities you pay for, think twice before joining.

STOP DELETING MY REVIEWS…read more I'm honestly extremely disappointed with this place. On Sunday morning, there was only one basketball court open with more than 30 people waiting to play, while another full court was reserved for volleyball -- and there was literally just one person using it. One person. Meanwhile, dozens of members were crowded around trying to rotate into a single basketball court. It makes no sense. This is not about disliking volleyball. It's about basic management and understanding demand. When you have overwhelming interest in basketball during peak hours and almost no usage for volleyball, why would the schedule not reflect that? Why not adjust in real time? Why not prioritize based on actual member participation? Instead, members were left standing around, frustrated, wasting their Sunday morning. Many people ended up leaving because the wait was unreasonable. That's not a good experience, especially for a gym that members pay for. It feels like management either doesn't pay attention to what's actually happening on the floor or simply doesn't care enough to make adjustments. If the courts are consistently mismanaged like this, it shows a lack of responsiveness and respect for members' time. If you're thinking about joining this gym -- think twice. If you're a current member who mainly comes to play basketball, be prepared for overcrowding and poor scheduling decisions. It's hard to recommend this place when basic court allocation isn't handled properly. Members deserve better organization, better communication, and better management than this. Honestly, if this continues, it's not worth it. Stay away if court access matters to you.

I've done wrestling, boxing, and kickboxing here. I liked the intro to boxing here but to be honest this is definitely a fighter oriented gym. They cater to the fighters before just regular gym goers and that's fine, it just meant I'm not their target clientele. Coach JR and Coach Ermias are really talented and good at what they do, if you do happen to go I'd say train with them or attend their classes. They know their stuff and are serious about their craft but willing to teach you. I only tried the wrestling once or twice but the coach for that is good as well for complete newbies. It's intimidating but not impossible you just have to try it. Definitely don't come here just to socialize like some people use the gym for. People are here to train and often shoot demo reels here. The owner trains across the world so like I said they're very focused on their fighters here. If that's what you're looking for and you have a background in fighting or want to seek it for your career I'd recommend this place, but for the average person who wants to take a boxing class it might be a little intimidating.
