Food is always good but every time I go they overcharge me. It's always the same lady who over charges me, it's highly upsetting. This place has great food and it's close to where I live but getting a 5-6$ extra add gets too much every time I go. So pay attention to what you order and how much if you are going during lunch hour. It really is sad that I can't go there after this, why over charge me? I tip, I'm patient and very friendly. The service here was poor. Just bought a full order of adobada fries and a burrito. The lady refused to give me more than three salsas of which are in super small containers (.75 oz). There's about 4 of us sharing. I'm so disappointed. Salsa is the highlight of the meal, at least for me. I think she just refused to move from her position. I love supporting hole in the wall places, but they didn't seem to care about customer satisfaction. After some drinks in DTSD, we went to a 24 hour Mexican food joint, of course. This place is kind of far for me, but I think it was worth the drive. This restaurant is kind of small with only a few tables, and I just remember a very yellow theme happening in the restaurant. Parking was easy, and it's nice to know there is a drive thru if you are feeling too lazy to walk in! My cousin and I both got the Texano burrito which had rice, chicken, sour cream, cheese (and we added guac), and our other cousin got a veggie burrito. The burritos are HUGE, maybe 8 by 4 inches. They were intimidating at first but they were so good that we found ourselves eating the whole burritos in one sitting. My cousin did mention that the burrito taste even better the next day, but unfortunately I couldn't wait. Perhaps next time I can slow down and be patient. Overall, I enjoyed this late night bite and I would gladly eat that large Texano burrito again at any time of the day because it's open 24 hours! Enjoy. read more

I gotta hook up Loretos with a 5 star. I grew up on Golf just up the hill from this place so I've been eating here my whole life (as well as the vast majority of every taco shop on the Valley lol). Is Loretos the best? No. Cheapest? No. Fastest? No. Cleanest? No. So why five stars? There can be an annoyingly long wait, food size varies (giant burrito one day, medium the next), prices have increased (haven't they everywhere?!?!). But they are open 24/7 365. They will provide you with that Mexican food doc anytime of the year. Christmas? Done. NYE at 3am? Done Middle of Thanksgiving not feeling turkey and want some tacos? DONE! I'm sorry, I have to update this down to a 2 star. Honestly I'm not someone to complain or be mean but I don't think I will comeback after this experiance. I went through the drive through and the lady that took my order was very rude from the begining. When I pulled to the window I seen two ladys talking inside laughing and talking. I waited a good 4 minutes for the lady to give me my drink. Once she gave me my food I asked for hot sauce and the lady rolled her eyes, she went to get it handed it to me and right after she shut the window. Thanks to her she lost a customer! I really hate giving Loreto's only one star. This is only based on my experience yesterday 08/01/2014. I grew up in Spring Valley and have been going there since 1984. Well about 8 months ago we moved to Rancho and fell in love with Alberts Taco shop. So needless to say, there was no need to travel the extra 5 miles or so to Loreto's So yesterday I go to visit my dad, who still lives in SV and stop by Loreto's to grab a bean and cheese burrito and three rolled tacos with guacamole and cheese. I was shocked when my total was almost $8.00. Call me cheap but 8 months prior that same order was about $5. So I don't mind the increase but give me what I pay for. I get the food home, let it sit for a few, u know so the cheese has a chance to melt, and cut the burrito in half (less chance of a blowout at the bottom). So when I cut into it, no melted cheese, and I see what apparently was beans but looked more like butternut squash soup! I take the wrapper off the rolled tacos and find the same consistency with the guacamole. Just a mushy mess. No chucks of avocado, tomato, or onion u know the basics in "Mexican" guacamole. The beans had no flavor and there was hardly any meat in the rolled tacos. I guess I'm just spoiled by Alberts "Big Rolled Tacos". Again, I hate giving them a bad review but believe me when I tell you Loreto's was the best Taco Shop in East County. They still can be but not with the garbage they served me yesterday. I hope they go back to their roots, keep it simple and start serving a better product. I won't go back until then. read more

Yes! I found my new neighborhood taco shop! Everything here is great and my wife and kids love eating from here. Huge bonus, they have NEVER gotten my order wrong and I don't like cheese. It might take a little long during a rush, but, like In N Out, it is worth the wait! I really like the carne asada nachos, burrito, torta and fries! The al pastor burrito tastes great and so do the tacos. Also, they're not stingy. There was a couple OTHER taco shops that were cut right away for getting an extra $3-4 out of me per item for extras or were super cheap with their toppings. Nothing is more disappointing than opening a plate of carne asada fries in front of four kids and there's only a little carne asada, cheese and guacamole! LAME! This Place is Awesome. I just moved to Spring Valley and I can't believe how good this place is. It looks like your average taco shack but the food is absolutely delicious and consistent. Whether it's 2 in the afternoon or 2 in the morning my California Burrito is delicious and that Green Hot Sauce is fantastic. The service is really what makes it though. First off I came here because of the reviews. But by my own experience I will not be back. I got 3 tacos. One potato and 2 ground beef. $5 for 3 mini tacos is absolutley ridiculous. Then they only put onions and cilantro on them. Guac is a whole $1 extra?!?! Anyways I got the tacos and they only had lettuce and cheese on them and they didn't have the soft taco shell they had the hard and STALE yellow corn ones and on top of it the service was unprofessional and rude. No smiles, no how can I help you. Just.. "Are you ready to order or not?" It's my first time here and this is how you speak to customers?
