Haddock reuben with crinkle fries and Moxie
    Joshua S.

I ordered the haddock reuben. It was a generously sized sandwich. Haddock was flour breaded and fried. There were no tables available inside so we sat outdoors. It was breezy out, but we found a nook that was tucked up against the building with a roof overhead so it was quite comfortable. Service was "wicked good". The waitress was very sweet and attentive.

A cute little local diner. Staff was friendly and attentive. I had the steak and cheese with peppers, onions and mushrooms and homemade potato chips. My wife had the grilled chicken sandwich also with homemade potato chips. Our food was served promptly and was delicious. My steak and cheese was very tender and the sub style roll was soft and fresh. My wife's grilled chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We both enjoyed our meal. The bill was about $34 with tip. Their lobster rolls looks ridiculously good. When your finished eating go next door for some homemade ice cream.

    Chicken tender basket

It's a homey small restaurant that serves comfort food with great service. It's nothing fancy. The menu is simple. I order chicken tender basket which come with hand cut fried and coleslaw. We was hungry while driving to Acadia National park and this seems to be the only restaurant on this road. If you get hungry on the same route, this is a good option.

Old school Maine diner on Route three, the Belfast Road. The most casual and unpretentious place you will ever find! Great Maine diner menu, seafood, fried chicken, Salisbery steak, you name it! Very friendly and welcoming, A lot of locals hanging out.

    Sad, sad piece of pie.

A local fav. Had a burger and fries and the burger was very good. Very small about 10 tables. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed!

You walk in and order from the welcoming staff at the counter. We ordered the 2 eggs, toast and bacon & the breakfast sandwich. The 2 egg breakfast was simple and tasty. Maybe should've ordered another side, my husband still felt a little hungry. He wanted to add a 3rd egg, but they can only order another 2, per the original menu. The breakfast sandwich was delightful! Perfect cooked eggs, meat and crispy and there was a delicious aioli or spicy/chipotle spread. Soo good!! I was only able to eat 1/2 of the sandwich. My husband said it was just what he needed since he wasn't able to add the second egg. I also ordered a hot vanilla latte. This was the best coffee I had the whole week we were there. Definitely give this sweet little local restaurant a try when in Camden!

The fresh pastries are a great treat to add on to your meal. The owners have spruced up the interior to make it an open and comfortable place to eat. They even added a charming couch area with kids toys for the little ones. The employees are friendly and always ready to help. I love their merchandise and am happy to represent this new gem of a diner.

The view was nice once our table was cleaned, and the service was friendly and attentive overall. The reason for three stars is really the food. Nothing was terrible, but unfortunately, nothing was very good either. As a longtime restaurant owner, what stood out to me was the lack of attention to detail and the overall quality and quantity of the proteins and ingredients. I have no problem paying $15 for a simple sandwich if it's executed well. But little things add up: a tiny bag of chips, a very small pickle portion, minimal meat, minimal kraut, minimal sauce. It felt like every possible quarter was being shaved off the plate. I understand how difficult it is to make money in restaurants right now, but at some point the guest notices. I ordered the hot Reuben. It really wasn't hot, the bread wasn't crisp, the cheese wasn't properly melted, and the meat quality was fairly lackluster. There simply wasn't much meat, kraut, or sauce to make it feel like a satisfying Reuben. My wife ordered the chicken, artichoke and pesto sandwich. Again, the execution was the issue. The pesto wasn't spread evenly from edge to edge, the cheese wasn't melted, the sandwich wasn't particularly hot, and there were only a couple small pieces of artichoke. That's probably what disappointed me most. These are relatively simple sandwiches, and simple food can be fantastic when the basics are done correctly: crisp the bread, melt the cheese, distribute the condiments evenly, use enough filling, and cut and plate the sandwich with a little care. Those small details make a huge difference. We also had two non-alcoholic beers at $8 each. That isn't outrageous, especially in a tourist area with a view, but $16 for two cans of NA beer still feels like it's pushing the upper end of reasonable. The service was good, the staff was friendly, and the upstairs view was enjoyable. I just wish the same level of care had gone into the sandwiches. I don't write reviews every time I'm disappointed, but after owning a restaurant and responding personally to customer reviews for more than 12 years, I tend to notice these things. Hopefully this is taken as constructive feedback, because the fundamentals here are very fixable.
