Quiet restaurant. No bar stools were there for me to sit, they had to pull for a nearby table. Friendly greeting, but it was a weird vibe that it was so quiet and I was their only guest. I would think I would get the most amazing service then. I was quickly asked if I wanted to order after 5 seconds. I simply asked I needed more time to look over the menu. The menu had zero drinks on it, maybe that was a separate menu I wasn't given. After looking around the empty restaurant and not knowing a beverage choice, I decided to leave. The experience was sterile and nothing enticing to stay longer. I left without ordering, and the two servers or manager standing and joining at the front stand did nothing to talk to me There are so many other places for me to visit. I just moved blocks away and this will not be a place I visit 4-5 week. Sad. read more

Once again we visited this place. It remains one of our favorite places to visit. The food is excellent, the views are tremendous and the service was efficient and friendly. They have a great patio which overlooks a lake and it was great to be there. Their menu is quite diverse with lots of choices. This time I went straight for the tamale plate. Once again the tamales were fantastic. These are not your store bought tamales which can be heavy and lean on the meat. These were light yet filled with meat. My plate had sides of refried beans, Spanish rice and a bit of salad. Loved it! My spouse had the chicken and steak fajitas so she had a big meal. And the meats were large portions and quite tasty. Plenty to take home. Sitting outside right on the lake made it all a special treat. Every time we've come we've enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. The patio faces the east so we were shaded and had no problems with the summer heat. Our opinion remains this is a great place to go for a special treat. We have been meaning to try this place for some time. Last night was the night. The lower level was hosting a wedding reception. What a great venue for that! We headed to the upper level. There was a wait for outside seating so we opted for inside. The restaurant is located on the edge of Hidden Lake. The view is fantastic. Any other time we would have opted for the wait to sit outside, but we had a hungry boy with us. They have huge windows and the patio doors were open so we still had a view even from our booth inside. When our server came, he set down the most wonderful thin, crispy chips with a freshly made salsa that was bursting with flavor. We ordered our drinks and meals. I opted for water this evening, my husband ordered a draft Modelo Negra and our son asked for lemonade. When the drinks arrived, the lemonade looked the same as the water. Our son tried it and it was essence of lemonade. The server apologized and asked if he would like a soda instead as it seemed the lemonade machine had run out of syrup. My son asked for root beer. The glass was whisked away and soon he had a root beer and was happy. I ordered the Stuffed Crispy Rellenos (I love a good stuffed pepper). My husband got the 3 Garcia's Burrito with chicken and our son ordered the Hard Shelled Tacos with seasoned ground beef. Our food came surprisingly fast considering how full the restaurant was. Each entrée was on a piping hot plate. My son devoured his tacos leaving only one of the four to bring home. My husband said this was by far one of the best burritos he had enjoyed in some time. My rellenos? Excellent! They were smothered in green chili and accompanied by lettuce, tomatoes, rice and beans. We felt the prices were reasonable, service was on point and the food was great. DON'T COME HERE IF YOU'RE VEGETARIAN! My first review of this place summarizes my experience of getting pork in the "vegetarian" queso. I decided to give the place a second shot, since I live a five-minute walk away. I got the breakfast burrito, substituted with black beans and ranchero sauce (I was told those were vegetarian). My first bite had pork in it. I picked through it a bit and the whole thing was full of pork. The server apologized and offered to have the kitchen remake it, but I wasn't interested. We have been to Los 3 Garcias Mexican Restaurant before and really liked the food. So, recently we took our visitors to the restaurant. It was not good. Even though the restaurant was not busy and there was ample open seating we were placed in a booth next to a very large family party. They had several kids who were loud and running around and trashing the area. The server must have been new because he took our order and we never saw him again until it was time for the check. The food was not up to par. What happened to this restaurant? We will not go back as there are many other Mexican Restaurants we can go to. read more

First restaurant review ever. I'm about as patient as they come, I work in a hospital for goodness sake. But this experience was... uggghh. The food was pretty good if not great. The view from the bottom floor deck was exquisite... Everything else was highly disappointing! Asked for small beer and kids menu. Got a large beer and no kids menu. Not a big deal at least i have a drink. It seemed clear service wasn't going to be quick so I didn't venture to ask again for the kids menu. Instead took my boy upstairs to search for crayons and a kids menu. Nobody would make eye contact with me. Waited about ten minutes before following the young hostess and stopping him in his tracks to get his attention. He was very nice and apologetic, got us some crayons. Long story a bit shorter (haha) it was literally an hour later and still no food. Drinks had been ordered several times with nothing coming to our table. After our server went back to check again. I was about to leave- 5 year old with no food an hour later and nearing his bedtime- and it finally came. My party's drinks still had not come. One of our party went and brought back waters and tried to get more chips. Was told well we charge for chip refills- (only 1 free chip and salsa for two people). Explained ok we've been waiting an hour and have a table of ten. Felt bad for our server although she wasn't good at her job. Tried to pay multiple times and had to track down the waitress to beg to let us pay so we could leave. Whole time the manager was apparently there somewhere but hadn't bothered to check on us or anyone around. I could tell other tables of clientele were not thrilled either. Aye yi yi. Clearly this failure is on the management first and foremost- there's no way the staff were trained and systems in place for success. It's a shame for such a beautiful spot. Part of me would like to give the place one more try in the future but I don't want to pay $50 again for a ruined night. Yeesh. Hopefully others have a better experience. Oh forgot to mention- after an hour and 15 the drinks were not good - tasted solely of sour mix for the reg margs and taste solely of lime juice for the skinny margs (at least so told by my peers). The views from the patio of this restaurant are great. You'd be better off getting microwave food from the gas station than eating the food. The queso was literally one block of semi melted cheese (see picture). The beef in the enchiladas was less appetizing than Taco Bell. Beans tasted like they came from a can. Would not recommend, would not order again. Super disappointed. read more

Delicious. Probably some of the most authentic Mexican food I've had in the Denver area, and some of these places are hard to beat. Huge menu, huge drink list, and awesome service. This place has any dish you could think of, and not bad prices. Very clean (bathrooms as well), and the service was fast and reliable, and sitting in the patio watching the sunset over the little pond can't be beat. We've tried this restaurant twice and really wanted it to be our new favorite spot, but both times the service has left us frustrated. From the moment we walked in, we were waiting. We stood in line to be greeted by a host for 5-10 minutes. The host had to go back (somewhere?) because there was only one set of silverware in his stack and there were two people in our party (plus a line of people behind us waiting to talk to the host). He brought back a napkin and silverware and rolled it right in front of us - it's not a huge deal but it's a little flag that the staff here haven't been trained on restaurant etiquette. When we got sat, a very nice and enthusiastic waitress asked for our drink order and brought chips over. After ordering our drinks (frozen marg and rocks marg), it took 15-20 minutes to get them. The rocks drink was decent (prickly pear marg), but the frozen marg with an added shot of patron, mind you, tasted like water. We told the waitress and she apologized and said she would let the bartender know, but she didn't offer to replace it with anything else. We finally ordered our food and that took probably 45 minutes to arrive. The tortillas with my meal were "still being made and would be out shortly" and those never came. My husbands chicken enchiladas had BONES in them. We set them out on a plate hoping the waitress would apologize, but she said nothing. We ordered two more drinks (hoping draft beers would be faster and guaranteed to not be made incorrectly) and those still took about 15 minutes to arrive, at which point we were done with our meals and wanted to just leave. Mind you, we were seated right next to the bar and pouring draft beer should not take that long. As others on here have noted, when it was time to pay, we sat and waited for someone to run our card for about half an hour, and finally we had to go find someone else to close out our tab because our waitress was nowhere to be found. The view here is great, and the chips and salsa are tasty, but that's about all the positive I can say about it. The service is just too bad for us to come back. Very sorry that this place is not better run. read more

Everything ive ever had here was delicious. Celebrating our 2nd 4th of july at this location because it is right on the water and there are fireworks for hours. Had the Molcajete and fried ice cream finally. It was amazing, great portions and very tasty. Ive also enjoyed the enchiladas here during our first visit. We will be back. read more

Went here a while ago and while the view was great, the food and service was pretty bad. I ordered the carne asada and had to send back because it had a sour taste. Didn't want to try my luck with ordering something else so I didn't eat. The owner was extremely rude when we complained about the fact that only half our party had received their food and were rudely informed that it's impossible to serve a table of 10 at the same time. The second half of the table got their food half hour later. The music video that they were filming on the docks below us was comical and entertaining, so I'll give them that. read more

This is the new location for this franchise in Metro Denver. This replaces Cielo another mexican eatery that shuttered a year ago Cielo had great food but never got a liquor license....a death sentence. 3 Garcias has a liquor but the food is not great. We had a chimi and he had a combo. The rice and beans were not that good either. It was opening night maybe it will improve???? The margie was tasty. But this location with a big parking lot is located next to a nice lake. Score a patio table get the chips that need salt decent salsa and hit those drinks. Enjoy the view. read more

The food was awful, ordered a combination plate, first of all, the rice was so old and dry, the veggies were shriveled up, they died last week! The chicken and beef flautas were split open and dried up, the black beans were hard, with a clump of cheese on top, the relleno was sitting on a bed of grease, maybe the cook should of put it on the bed of rusted lettuce, next to it! Ok the tamale my 7 year old granddaughter ordered, was so dry, it crumbled on first bite, she said nope, I will enjoy this Mac and cheese out of the box instead, with the fruit on side, the fruit was a sliced over ripped banana with blackish brown ends, should of sliced that part off! So disappointing, the food (green chili) was very bland and there wasn't very much on the stuffed sopapilla I had. It seemed all dried up from sitting under a heat lamp. I'm surprised at this because I've been to the one in Conifer and it was very good. The service was extremely poor, we waited at least 10 minutes before anyone came over to take our drink order, but at least we were able to order our meal at the same time we ordered drinks. Then it took over 30 minutes to get our food which was barely warm. The server didn't come back to check on us till we were finished with our meal. The food is actually pretty decent and the drinks are good, coming from someone who's picky on margaritas. The views are awesome, just the one thing that needs to be fixed is the service. We say the same thing every time we go, everything just takes so long. It always feels like they are one person short of what is needed. I really want this restaurant to succeed, so I hope that management reads this and makes some changes. This is the third time we've had this experience, so I don't think it was a one time staffing issue. With better execution, this place would be packed all the time. read more
