I normally visit this restaurant for their amazing guacamole and cheese dip, and I usually have a great experience. The staff has always been nice, helpful, and polite. However, my most recent visit completely changed my opinion. One day, one of the servers added a tip to my bill without my permission. I only discovered this after receiving a notification from my debit card showing that the original amount had been updated to include a tip. I was immediately caught off guard, especially since I did not dine in--I went through the drive-thru. I waited for the restaurant to open so I could call and address the issue, as adding a tip without authorization felt like theft to me. When I called and asked to speak with a manager, the hostess or one of the waitresses hung up on me. I called back and could hear them laughing. I again asked to speak with a manager, and once again they laughed and hung up on me. I called the store several more times, and eventually one employee told me to call back between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m., then hung up on me again. When I finally spoke with a manager at the time I was given, she listened to my concerns and informed me that she would refund my entire order and speak with the employee who added the unauthorized tip. While I appreciate the refund, the way I was treated throughout this situation was extremely unprofessional and disappointing. I was a loyal customer, and this experience made me feel taken advantage of. Thankfully, I have alerts set up on my debit card to notify me of any updates to purchases. It makes me wonder how many other customers may not notice unauthorized changes to their bills. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this restaurant, and I will be sharing my experience with others. read more

We had so many good meals here, but my Mom likes the taco salad, and she kept getting a soggy one. She kept asking for a non-soggy one, but it came back soggy always. So we stopped going. Decided on a random stop into a Mexican restaurant. We weren't disappointed. Staff was prompt and friendly. Service was quick and accurate. And the food was incredible. We were excited after looking at the menu on line due to the variety of items, however the experience and food quality was lack luster. The quality of service not good. The food we ordered came out wrong and was sent back then when it arrived for the second time it lacked flavor and was cold. The music was so loud that my husband and I had a hard time communicating so we asked if they could turn it down a bit, which they did. But then 15 minutes later they fired up some live singing which was even louder than the radio music. The food was not very good. We went for dinner on a Saturday evening, arriving between 5:45 & 6:00. There were others in our party, but I will speak to the two dishes we ordered. I had a combo dinner with a tamale and a tostada. This came with rice and beans. The rice was flavourless, the beans were meh and the tamale & tostada were generic tasting. The meal was not bad. It just was not good. My gf ordered the arroz con pollo. Normally, this dish is rice cooked with chicken. What was served was a bed of rice topped with pieces of chicken in a mushroomy gravy. This was inedible. Only 1/4 of it was consumed, and we refused a to-go box. With apologies to those involved, and though I do NOT consider it to be Mexican food, Taco Bell would have been a better choice...a side order of rice and the chicken they use for tacos would have been preferred. Truck driver looking for great food in this wonderful state only to be met with Staff that had horrible customer service.. Went there for some drinks & food. I ended up not purchasing the food & just shots because of how rude the bartender & the waitress were. In this day and age, as a restaurant staff worker, it's expected to have great customer service. Easily the worst experience I've had at a restaurant. I'm not one to write reviews but this restaurant was a waste of time and money. Especially time considering it took 45min to get a check split. The waitress was lost and had no clue of anything on the menu I asked for spinach of my pollo loco she said yes and it came out without spinach. I told her this is not what I ordered I don't want it because the cheese was so thick it was old. I told the waitress I wanted three carne tacos 25 minutes later I get pork tacos. NEVER AGAIN will I darken the doors of this crap hole of a restaurant!!!!! Went for "Taco Tuesday". They seated us and came out and put chips and salsa on table. Typical of all Mexican restaurants. That's where it went downhill. First order came out wrong. Beef tacos were bland and tasteless (Chicken tacos were OK). Guacamole was so sour from lime juice it was practically inedible. Got our bill. They charged $2.50 for a side of sour cream and $2.00 for the chips and salsa that I did NOT ask for. Guac was $8.99. This is your standard, middle TN, bland, Americanized Mexican restaurant. But it's a cheap, filling lunch. For $6 I got a taco & enchilada plate with rice and beans, plus the nacho bowl with canned salsa. The taco is the American version, a 5 or 6 inch, prefab corn tortilla shell, as in Taco Bell, with lettuce & tomato, cheese. I was able to choose chicken instead of ground beef, though. No discernible spice on the chicken. The beef enchilada was OK. Rice and beans: not a lot of flavor. I love their taco truck so my friends and I decided to pop in for dinner at the restaurant. We went around 10:30pm maybe. The food was good but not the best. The problem was the service. We were rushed to order because they were closing the kitchen. However, the restaurant closes at 12am... we didn't say anything we just ordered. The food came out and we couldn't even get extra a sour cream because the kitchen was closed. We were rushed to pay. It felt like they were throwing us out as soon as we got there. Do not advertise that you close at 12am and end up rushing your clients. It's not like we showed up minutes before close. There was a couple in-front of us who also felt rushed. This has been my worst restaurant experience to date. My fiancé and I decided to go to Las Agaveros on a Saturday hoping to catch a little bit of the live music while we wait on our to-go order. When we sat down at the bar, some guy kicked a chair into my fiancé multiple times. I'm When told to stop, his friend started to make threats behind us in Spanish. To top it off the fried ice cream was horrible, and when we got home we didn't even have our whole order. I called the restaurant and asked for a refund for the food we didn't get and they hung up on me. I wish I could give them no stars because I would. To think, we were so excited about going too. Me and my gf tried this spot for the first time today. In all honesty we were highly disappointed. Chips were very stale, we asked for more chips notifying them that they were stale, but they still gave use more stale chips. My steak fajita burrito was almost inedible, steak was dry and tough. The sauce poured on top of it was room temp topped with cold lettuce and tomatoes. My gf dish was chicken fajita quesadilla, very bland and dry.
