Visted Los Amigos Bar & Grill for the first time ever on Saturday night for a friend's birthday celebration. When I turned the corner into the street next to the restaurant I easily found street parking, just keep an eye on the street signs so you park during appropriate times. We were seated outside which was perfect weather and it was great the tables could be pushed together to accommodate as many people as would arrive (our group fit in 4 tables pushed together). To start, the bean dip and salsa! That bean dip is so delicious and spicy! If you told me they were sold out and all I could eat is chips and bean dip I would have been a happy girl and just sat there eating the bean dip! Yummm! For the main course I went with the Steak Tostada Salad and it did not disappoint! The tostada was fluffy and crunchy, and the inside was filled to the brim and had nice thick pieces of steak on top! I did not feel an ounce of guilt as I gobbled down the whole thing and I even splashed some of that bean dip onto the top for good measure! In looking around at everyone's plates everyone's food looked amazing with very very generous portions. The waiters were very attentive to our group coming around frequently keeping our waters full and refilling cocktails for anyone who had ordered one. I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, this is some of the worst Mexican food I have ever tasted in my life! I ordered the Shrimp a la Scampi, light garlic, with rice & beans to go. When i got home, I realized the shrimp was sitting in a greasy pool of garlic-laden oil, which leaked all over everything. Thank God they use a plastic bag; otherwise, that garlic mess would have been all over my car. The beans were so salty & weird tasting (the worst ever), I think the chef must have been in the Mortons family. The rice was okay, but had no flavor at all, so my doggies will love it in their food tomorrow. The chips, which are now in the bin, were completely tasteless. They don't include tortillas(?), so I paid for an order of them, but they had so much grease on them from the pool of oil that leaked, I had to throw them out. The only thing I rescued from this expensive meal was the shrimp. I pulled them from the greasy garlic pool and am planning to rinse them off tomorrow and put lemon on them. Hopefully they will be edible. The young gentleman who got my order ready was a sweetheart, so I will say one nice thing. After the overwhelming garlic smell, the mess I had to clean up because of all of that leaked oil and my disgust with the waste of money, I ended up having watermelon at home for dinner. read more

So glad I came here for lunch. The food was great. I never order steak fajitas because they always overcook it and it taste rough. However, I'm glad that I ordered it here. The beef was very tender, and the shrimp were plump and succulent. The happy hour wings were delicious. I only had one piece and it was a lot for happy hour. Yelp has to get their game together. Being a premium app about information around you it does pretty lousy job. It doesn't matter what time restaurant is closing, it matters what time their kitchen closing. For example, in this case kitchen closes at midnight. It really doesn't matter that it opens till 1 AM. Who cares if they have no food after midnight. I may be wrong, but I assume that yelp is having a passive attitude towards the restaurants, giving them an information about details when and what is open, but it would be good if Yelp can be more proactive and actually give their customers a correct info so they don't drive somewhere in the middle of the night just to be faced with the guy who says "sorry the kitchen is closed". read more

Arrived around 730pm on a Friday night and was sat right away in the dog friendly patio. Very fast and friendly service. They brought a bowl of water for our dog without us having to ask. There were heaters in the patio so it was nice and cozy. The carne asada burrito was delicious. The red sauce that they pour over had so much flavor I could have drank it. We were scoping all of Burbank for a nice burger place, but when we past by Los Amigos bar and grill, the idea of margaritas changed my mind. Arrived here on a Saturday afternoon around 4pm and had to get a seat on their lovely outside patio. I love a patio; its a great excuse to snag a few bits of the final moments of summer. One big come up here is not only do they bring you chips and salsa (which were delicious) but, they also bring you a little bowl of refried beans as an additional dip for our chips (absolutely clutch). We also got, what we thought would be a, little bowl of guac, but it was huge. So Nice! For our main, we opted for the beef fajitas which honestly, was perfect! It was large with more than enough meat and veg to fill us up. The rice and beans that accompanied were super delicious as well. I definitely made sure to grab some flour AND corn tortillas. Everything was great. And of course, we made sure to get a few blended margaritas (mango, coconut, and banana) all were great and refreshing. Great little visit to Los Amigos. I loved the vibe and the ambience of this restaurant. So I'm from Texas and as soon as I walk in I felt right at home.Our waiter was so nice and helpful with the menu. I ordered the combo plate #4 two chicken enchiladas w/ ranchero sauce and a crispy taco. It was really tasty. The only critique I was say is I would have liked my shredded chicken to be shredded better. I had big chunks and was hard to cut through with my fork. But over all delicious. What a great place I have been coming for years. Very fair prices and $5 draft beers with no BS big "foam it up". You get a real pour here. I have been coming here and had nothing but rave experiences but recently went here for Cinco de Mayo hoping to get some good deals on margaritas and appetizers while in Happy Hour. We got there early and it was packed. Unfortunately without us knowing they bait and switched us and that particular Monday they killed both the happy hour menu and the Margarita Monday specials. wtf?! I love this place and I see how a margarita special will kill your liquor sales but the happy hour menu? I live on being able to go there and get some appetizers plus an entree and some beer until 7pm for a better price. Felt a bit deceived and wasn't happy with how things went that day. I'll keep coming back but always beware that this restaurant will bait and switch you to make extra money by not fulfilling their specials (some days or holidays). My food was deep fried and crispy and it smelled bad like a fish house. My husband's Mahi Mahi was way over cooked. They instantly bring out fresh warm chips and salsa with this amazing bean dip while you peruse the menu. If in doubt, get the chicken flautas lunch special. It's a giant plate with two giant flautas, rice, beans, guac, pico, and this delicious cornmeal that also functions as a little dessert. Imagine almost like a cornbread cookie dough. And I think it's very reasonably priced at $14.99. I always get it without cheese and sour cream because I'm trying to avoid dairy, and they hook it up for me every time. The service - shoutout to Felipe and Victor at the bar especially - is always so friendly. The employees actually seem to enjoy working there. I went on a saturday night and it was a full house I want to say most of it had to be the fact that this restaurant is so good but half is the fact that they have karoke nights starting at 9:30 pm and they close their kitchen late at 12 am. I ordered combo #3 that came alongside a chile relleno, which is a poblano non-spicy pepper filled with mozarella cheese covered in fried egg and sauce, and a chicken enchilada paired with spanish rice and pinto smashed beans. Ever since then I can't stop thinking about that big sized plate! My boyfriend got the steak picado which our server Andres suggested him to try. Meat was juicy and tender and came alongside beans and rice. This place is perfect for a date night out, which I did, or a quick bite and catch up with friends because weekly they have great happy hour deals that include drinks and food. Found this place on yelp. It got really great reviews and I now know why. We went on taco Tuesday. They offer four different types of tacos, Carne Asada, chicken, Carnitas and El Pastor. We tried all of them. They were all very good, but I have to say my favorite was the ElPastor. It was moist and the flavor combinations danced, delightfully in my mouth. The chips and salsa were also delicious but if I had to say Suggest one appetizer you must get it's the in-house guacamole. You can specify the spice which we opted for medium. It was perfect, absolutely fresh and delicious. Definitely got the urge to lick the bowl clean on that one! The service was great even though they were super busy. We joined the waitlist on Yelp and did not have to wait at all once we arrived. Parking is a bit tricky. There's a lot across the street but it fills up quickly. There's also street parking. We really enjoyed this restaurant and would definitely go back if we are in the Burbank area. read more
