I love this food I live in Palmdale and when I come to the valley I have to stop and eat there

This place was built up to me by a friend of mine so when I was in the area I stopped by. Now I am not going to lie the food was good but I am always disappointed when I go into a place with such limited protein selections. I am lengua, tripas, cabeza kind of guy. Very good Mexican food option in Burbank for a quick lunch. I was surprised how well they utilized the space. There's a small indoor area where you can watch the cars go by and an outdoor area with a painted mural. I love places that offer crunchy tacos as an option! I really liked the shredded beef but I thought the chicken was just okay. The staff was nice and kind and let me go back and try a different salsa (the red was much more spicy than I thought!) I enjoyed my lunch here and wouldn't mind stopping in again if I'm in the area. read more

I spent years in San Diego and became a huge fan of finely chopped carna asada and rolled tacos (taquitos) with quac. And Alfredo's does them exactly the way I like. So at least 2 to 3 times a month this is my go to for lunch. Tip, while 3 rolled tacos are on the menu you can ask for 5. read more

I needed taco crunch. Alfredo's was near by. A crunchy chicken taco and a crunchy shredded beef taco to go (they also have potato). A bit greasy for my taste but the flavor wasn't bad. The salsa Verde was good and I got my fix. Yes, I will do it again. Next time I will ask for a little less grease. read more

Alfredo's is the bootleg version of ALBERTO'S Mexican food mini-chain. The menu is very similar to ALBERTO'S - ALBERTO's, while not stellar is much much better then Alfredo's! Service here at Alfredo's is indifferent and borderline rude despite a generous tip. Food wasn't good. Stingy on salsa... which you'll need EXTRA for the bland food. Asada meat was tough as leather. Good news is the food is not that expensive, so if you need to trash it it's not that big of a deal. Go somewhere else, spend extra $ for better food and service. read more

Well, well, well. After years and years of searching, I have not only found a place that serves "San Diego style" Mexican food, but they advertise it right in the middle of their big menu! Alfredo's is clean and neat (which is a fairly low bar if you've been to these type of places) and the staff was very nice and friendly. I had my usual: - Carne Asada Burrito (CAB) with no guac. Why no guac you ask? Because I wanted to see if this was truly SD style and not just some regular old beef burrito that says it's Carne Asada. It was the real deal... the meat was tender and marinated as it should be, and the "stuff" mixed in was a combo of tomatoes, spices, and onions. The burrito itself had the right texture and taste, too. - Rolled Tacos (well... they call them taquitos). At least they used the word rolled, but they should be called tacos, but I won't ding them for that. They had the right texture, crunch, and flavor, and most importantly, the cheese on top was just right. I used the red salsa and it was very spicy! Some of this could be me... I was a student in San Diego in the late 1980s and let's just say my stomach could take a lot more then than it can now, but it had great flavor. I ordered a large drink and It could have been larger because I needed it after every bite. Generous parking in back and they even have an outdoor covered eating area. A definite 5 and I'll be back... when my stomach recovers! read more

I love the beef Taquitos plate all rice with sour cream on the side! Nice big taquitos with melted cheese on top of shredded lettuce! My favorite! A great local mom/pop shop in Downtown Burbank. There is parking on the side of the restaurant and covered seating both in the main restaurant and in a separate area for overflow across the parking lot. The food is made to order and just recently noticed they had breakfast burritos. Happened to be in the area early in the day so stopped by to try them. Well worth the price compared to other breakfast burrito options in the area. It was simple and a good balance of meat, egg, and potatoes. Have also had the regular food (tacos, taquitos, burritos, etc) on multiple occasions and been satisfied. The pricing is very fair compared to similar restaurants and it's well worth your time to stop by and visit this restaurant. read more

Cute little place with about 4 tables inside and about 4 tables on the outdoor covered patio in the parking area. We ordered fish tacos and a hard shell chicken taco -- really tasty! Friendly service, and great food. No upset stomachs after eating tells me the food is fresh and they don't use old cooking oil. We will stop here again when in the area. read more

The food is still amazing, but make sure you double check that you are walking out with everything you ordered. Multiple times my boyfriend has gone to pick up our food and they try to leave food out of our order. We are ordering for the two of us naturally we are buying something for each of us. It's extremely frustrating. It is their mistake and then like clock work they give a rotten attitude and dirty looks. Get better people to run that register. Man if you hate the job don't work there you are ruining the experience for the customers that just want to enjoy the food. They are still cheap with the line and salsas too. The cooks are always the best. We continue to go every now and then because we still love the food and you better believe it's to-go because I prefer to eat my delicious food without the dirty looks. read more

Good stuff at this place. Nice and friendly workers. I always get the super nachos or super fries here. Love how it's nicely packed with goodness. I wish the nacho chips were the restaurant style chips. The food price did go up but didn't in California. It is what it is. They have their own parking lot. In the land of California burritos, it can certainly be a case of quantity over quality and unfortunately Alfredo's falls into the quantity category. Great tortilla, but the rest of the California burrito isn't anything spectacular or offensive. My main complaint is that for the price, the burrito was rather small. Nothing like what you'd get from Cali Tacos or Pablitos Tacos. 2.5 stars from me. read more

I grew up in San Diego and ever since I moved up to the Los Angeles area, it has been nearly impossible to find a place that serves burritos that are similar to the ones I would get back home until I came here. This has become my go-to spot to get Mexican food whenever I am craving it and I am glad that it is nearby. I've had a variety of different items from here from the burritos to their combination plates, all of which are fantastic. My go to order from here is definitely a carne asada burrito with the carne asada fries. Definitely not the healthiest meal by any means but damn is it good! One thing that I really appreciate about this place is the service. The workers are friendly and they do a good job in getting the food out quickly without compromising the quality. Highly recommend coming here if anyone is from SD and is craving a proper San Diego burrito without having to drive all the way back down. read more

A cute little no frills taqueria a few blocks from downtown Burbank. TVs play soccer and you can see the kitchen from the small dining area. There's also an outdoor fenced off dining area in the parking lot with benches and tables. Oh yeah, did I mention there's plenty of parking? Food was ready very quickly. I'm from Northern California. My friend who use to live in San Diego has taught me how to look for the right places that serve up carne asada fries and burritos. Being from Northern California - it's common for us to think that burritos should come with beans and rice. Well that's wrong LOL. I ordered the carnitas burrito and it consisted of carnitas, Pico de Gallo, guacamole, and that's all folks. The thing barely made my pictures before I inhaled it. Hahah. The carnitas was on point - not too salty and not dry. The simplicity of this darn thing after I put some red sauce was the perfect cure for my appetite. The other order were the fries. Oh man they were gone pretty fast as well. I've had some before but these fries stayed crunchy the entire time (probably because they were eaten so fast) Last but not least. Refreshing horchata to top it off! I would come back but I'm not from the area and was passing through. Time to walk this off or take a siesta. :) read more
