We've gotten takeout from here a few times - I'm a sucker for Cobb salads - but this time we decided to come in and eat there. For a Sunday, it was pretty mellow, which I love. Our waitress was nice and attentive at the right time. We got a Cobb salad and a chicken plate. Their chicken quality is soooo good. The Cobb salad has all the right amount of toppings and they mix in the dressing, much appreciated! Every bite has the dressing on it. I sub for blue cheese dressing, and it has a hint of mint that is perfect to balance out the heaviness of the egg, bacon and cheese crumbles. I also add crispy chicken. The chicken plate with hummus and pita is also really good. It's a thin slice of chicken, cooked just right. Their fries are crispy and flavorful. Their portions are big, so it's good to share. They have a ni outdoor patio too. Music they were playing was a good mix and not too loud. Enough to be able to hear it, but still have a conversation. What an awesome discovery! The interior design is rustic and welcoming. The cowboy doors are fun. There are plenty of seating, However, I wish they had booths instead of family style tables, because it makes the main bar area awkward to walk through since it's so open, but that's fine. I enjoyed the back patio. They have a giant TV in the back and fire pits, so you can watch sports there and even play billiards. It's a bit of a walk from the all the other cool businesses on Magnolia, but this bar is worth it. And the staff are friendly. I'll be coming back here. read more

I don't know what it is but I am obsessed with this chicken Cobb salad. It's tossed in a homemade light balsamic and I love all the flavors together. It's a really nice portion for the price. I get this with the tasty tequila and you cocktail. The folks that work there are really nice, attentive but not overwhelming. I feel like I get checked on just as I'm about to ask for something. Great service every time. I only recently discover this place two months ago. It is NOT the old Tinhorn Flats which is a good thing. I overheard the owner tell a customer that they get all their meats from Handy Mart which is across the street. I'll continue making my weekly visits. Came here to watch the World Cup, this burger is an absolute 10/10 !!! Must Try! The staff is amazing and extremely attentive and friendly. The downside: sat outside and the sun shined directly on their tv it made the tv unwatchable for about 45 minutes of a huge fifa game ... can't control the sun but maybe prepare for it with some shade/covering ...idk asside from that . Had a work lunch here (yes, I discussed work in a bar during the day, and what of it?) and was pleasantly surprised at the food. First impression upon entering was the handful of day drinkers in there, which I figured was a good sign. They do have lunch specials of burgers and salads, but I'll share this hint: their appetizer menu is deep, and they're cheaper than the lunch specials. I had the nachos which was deceivingly large: while not healthy, I couldn't get close to finishing it. It fit the need and I saved some dough. The patio area is comfortable and well set-up: even though it has the 80s metal music out there, it wasn't obnoxious or anything. Service was friendly, helpful, and always hustling, which we appreciated. I'd like to give happy hour a shot, but Magnolia Corner is also a good (and unexpected) place for lunch. read more

Returned for lunch today. Trisha the server is always amazing and gives fantastic friendly service. This time we opted for a couple of our previous favorites drinks but in our quest to try everything on the menu I ordered "The Kiss" which ended up being a very light drink perfect for someone that doesn't like a strong alcohol flavor. The establishment has always been kept clean, tables are quickly cleaned and is family (and dog) friendly. Definitely want to try and make this a more frequent spot in our routine! read more

My first round was a Saturday afternoon. The place wasn't too busy but by the time we left it was packed. This time it was a Wednesday around 5pm. It had a nice steady flow. Very laid back and casual here. You won't feel like you are being pressed to eat, drink and get out which is nice. Our server was Ashley. We loved her! Super friendly, helpful and took the time to get to know us. Another reason why this spot made my "Fav" list. Not a great experience overall due to the service. We waited about 10 mins before anyone came over, only to get another server come after and restart the drink order. No silverware on the table, I just grabbed some from a neighboring table cause we didn't want to wait another 10 mins to start eating. Some of the items from the ordered meal were missing so the waitress said she'd bring them but she never did. We were told sweet potato fries aren't an extra cost with the smash burger but they were. Disappointed. Wanted to try this place since it opened and today was the day. Entered at 4:05pm, noticed only six people in the entire place with the bartender talking to them. Stood near the front door for a minute or two without being acknowledged, so we sat ourselves at a table. Proceeded to sit at the table for almost 10 minutes wondering if we would ever get menus. Got up, made eye contact with the bartender, and picked up two menus, again with no acknowledgement, greeting, or anything. Looked at the menu, decided on the food we wanted to order, and proceeded to sit there for another 10 minutes watching the bartender still talking with a few people at the bar. Watched two new people enter the bar that were obviously regulars because the bartender instantly greeted them, told them to sit anywhere, and then brought them menus... We then got up and left. We only went here briefly on a whim, but I'm already looking forward to going back. I don't live far down the road.. and I remember this building being empty for awhile. Then suddenly I saw saloon doors being build and lights and signs being placed. It looked like it was about to be a new small country bar! And I was so excited!! Well, it's not that. BUT. It is a great little place with a pub kind of feel. It's small but open and welcoming. Seating inside and out side. We came on a Tuesday for the cheap taco Tuesday deals. It was totally worth it. We got fresh made tacos in the back of the place. And ate them in the front seating area. The staff was nice enough. They have TVs all over. I think the price point is a little high. Decided to try this place on a whim tonight while starving and I am so glad that I did! The location is so cool looking-many may remember the former business, and the cool western style doors are still alive and well! I love the old photograph inside of the location as a saloon- lots of neat touches. The space looks clean and the servers are great. I started with the house margarita which was so smooth! It was delicious! I'd definitely order it again and would recommend it to others. I ordered a burger and they were so kind and were able to make mine dairy free- the kitchen and servers were incredibly accommodating!! My boyfriend ordered the western burger that comes with blue cheese and he said it was SO good. We were both craving burgers, so this seemed like a great place to try and we were right! Visited weekly on Sundays for football games under previous owners. Since then, been here a couple of times and it has gone through a serious upgrade. Met with my friend Te-see to hang out for happy hour. We had a blast, this was the right spot. We ordered a couple signature cocktails from the menu, all were delicious. Ashley, our first sit staff for the evening, was awesome. She provided suggestions, answered all questions and very courteous. We shared a plate of nachos which were pretty good. I have been waiting for this little gem to open and it finally did. Was bummed I couldn't make it for the grand opening on Friday, but I finally made it tonight. I tried the Caprese sandwich with a side salad with homemade ranch. My daughter and cousin had the wings which my daughter loved the bbq version. Our waitress Heather was super sweet and kept checking on us. The owner Steve also kept coming to check on us to make sure we had what we needed. Overall vibe was super fun. Our server came to our table to tell us our "sliders" would be out soon. We let her know that we didn't order sliders, we ordered "chicken tenders". She told us she didn't say "sliders" and started an argument with us over it, huffed & puffed & walked to the bar where she proceeded to tell a patron what happened and pointed at myself & husband. When our food arrived she threw it on our table almost hitting me and breaking the plate. This is not ok. All of these servers need to be re-trained by someone with experience. Lots of TVs, great food and drinks (with plenty of options, including vegetarian), the staff were super friendly and attentive, and the whole place is really clean. We opted to sit in the back in the beautiful enclosed outdoor area. Service was fantastic - but boy were they busy! We ordered their version of an Aperol Spritz to start. I had the Smash Burger and my friend had the chicken sandwich. Food was delicious! I loved to learn that they source their meat and more from Handy Market (a Burbank local business). This time we also tried the smash burger and it was flavorful! Everything is always on point. Drinks are always so tasty as well. We came by to try out the holiday cocktails created by Heather and they were amazing! Perfectly captured the holiday essence in a drink! Not too sweet, just perfect. Came in on opening night--it was busy, but the energy was great! You could tell everyone was excited to be there. Despite the crowd, the service was excellent. Our party of six was seated quickly, and ordering went smoothly. The outdoor patio has a cozy fire pit, which they turned on around 8:30 PM to keep us warm such a nice touch. As for the food 10/10! They kept the janky neon sign, swinging doors and aged cowboy mural on the side of the building. No fresh looks here. Yes they gutted and redid the interior but they had to - it was trashed from the previous owners, besides being a dirty hole in the wall for decades. Plans for live music when your establishment is right next to a residential neighborhood isn't cool. They could have done something upscale rather than recycling a tired old theme. Service was bad when I first came here but decided to give it another chance. Second time, same thing with different staff, just terrible service. They forget about the customers seated outside, we had to go on a hunt for our waitress just to place our order (we had been seated for 20 min). We waited 45min for a small flatbread (wasn't busy at all) and it was the wrong one but our waitress argued that it was indeed what we ordered (it wasn't). We then told her that we wanted to order something to-go and she said she would put it in when we received our food. She never did. We had to wait another 30 min. When she brought it out, it wasn't to-go and we had to request to have it in a to-go box and waited another 10 min. What could've been an hour dinner turned into what felt like the longest wait of my life. Don't waste your time here. read more

I was getting my car serviced and I had a few hours to spare. I walked over to "Tinhorn Flats" and when I got there, I saw it was Magnolia Corner. I haven't stepped into the establishment since TF closed years ago. I liked that they kept the swinging doors. I was stunned when I walked in. I couldn't believe how spacious the place was. They really did an amazing job renovating the place. I love everything they did with the redesign. The waiter was super nice and welcomed me when I told him it's the first time I've been there since it opened. He pointed to the owner if I wanted to talk to him about his establishment. The owner looked super friendly. He was busy with the rest of the patrons and making them drinks. The menu options looked delicious and I ended up ordering the fish and chips. Unfortunately I have an allergen and my options are limited. I was happy that the waiter checked with the chef and let me know that what I chose was going to be allergen free. When he brought out the food I saw some green specks and became paranoid and asked what seasoning that was. He assured me it wasn't what I'm allergic to but he could see my hesitation and brought the chef over. The chef gave me the breakdown of what ingredients they used and reassured me it was allergen free. The chef was soooo thoughtful and nice and understood my paranoia of my allergen. The food was delicious and I'm so happy that they were accommodating because a lot of restaurants can't do that for me. I usually order plain fries or bread. I can't wait to bring my friends when I come back. We had no idea what Magnolia Corner looked like inside and what food they offered. Now that I know, I'm telling everyone to go there! read more
