This used to be our "go to" place for great Mexican cuisine. Not any more! The food is okay but some of it does not taste fresh. The plates are so hot the cheese melts into a milk consistency mess. I could almost forgive that until I started to take a good look around the room. Filthy. The floors are disgusting, the walls are filthy, the tables and chairs on the surface look okay but it seems that it has been a very long time since a thorough cleaning was done. It the dining room is that dirty, you have to wonder about the kitchen. My husband got sick that night, I was sick the next morning and had to miss work. It was before three so were able to take advantage of the lunch menu prices which made it a plus plus. First off, the salsa is fresh and has just the right bite. My chips and salsa are never empty, the attentive staff is on the ball. Great atmosphere, pleasant staff, and delicious vegetarian options! I recommend: the veggie or cheese enchiladas. Also the chimichangas, you can ask them to fill it with whatever you want. I've enjoyed them filled with veggies and beans & cheese. And don't forget the cheese sauce, it's very rich but so worth it. They even gave my sister and I gift certificates and flowers on Mother's Day as a gift. Love this place! read more

Haven't been here in years. We had a coupon so we thought,let's give them a try again. Mistake! We both ordered chimichangas one chicken and one order the pork. My chicken was dry and bland and the refried beans were tastless. My husband said the pork was better,but I didn't try it.The cheese sauce on them also had zero flavor. The chimi should be a nice golden brown but they were barely fried. We even thought they didn't fry them at first! Needless to say we won't be back anytime soon. We've had so so experiences at this restaurant before, but tonight's experience will keep us from coming back. Each time we've been here, the drinks have not been good, so we have avoided them. Tonight, our service was slow but not terrible. My wife's order was wrong. My food was okay but nothing to speak of. We decided to try the fried ice cream as a dessert, but it wasn't good either. When the waitress saw that we hadn't eaten it, she offered another dessert, saying she couldn't remove it from the bill. No thanks. Give us our bill and we will not be returning. Never again. I'm not into real spicy food and I don't have to worry here. The food had no spice at all. It was the most bland food I've ever eaten. Those who praise the guacamole must think oatmeal is flavorful. The chicken was dry, as was the rice. The only difference between the enchilada and the burrito was the wrap. It was the exact same thing. Hamburger meat (the same hamburger meat)and..... nothing. Not even a slice of jalapeno. I don't count the five strands of chess on top. As a side note, my nephew went to put sweet and low in his iced tea and it was hard as a rock. Either it was old or something got spilt on it and they just put it back. Not cool at all. If you choose to ignore my review and visit this restaurant I suggest you bring hot sauce and/ or chili peppers. You'll need them to give the food a taste. I read good reviews about this place, and when we decided to eat here for a meeting, I was pretty excited as I love Mexican food! Chips were excellent--not too salty, not too greasy. Salsa was great too. Some places water it down a lot! I ordered the shrimp fajitas as they are two things I love, shrimp and fajitas. They came super hot, but the dish was crazy salty for my liking. I ate nearly the whole plate, but kept reaching for my water. I usually drink anywhere from 3-5 glasses of water at a restaurant, but unfortunately only had 2 as our waitress only came around a few times. Being that our party was large (15) they had a lot to keep track of, but man, I could have used a lot more water! I'll return, but won't be getting those anymore. I'm definitely interested to try different options. Please note, I rarely salt anything, so take this review with a grain of salt...if you will. read more

Margaritas are cheap, strong and delicious! Chips and salsa are made in house so the chips are always piping hot and the salsa is tasty and fresh. the staff is friendly and helpful. The entrees are not that great, the taste is less than mediocre and the fajitas are always over cooked. A few times I've ordered the fajitas the shrimp was half burnt and the vegetables were soft. The cheese they use is very low in quality, it makes you feel like you're eating plastic flavored cheese. I've also ordered some of their combination plates, although these dishes are not burnt the taste is less that satisfactory. Everything on your plate taste the same. The sauces they use minus the salsa taste like it comes out of can. I hate to leave a two star rating because I have been a customer for the last the years. First and last time here! Ordered Carryout with no tomatoes on my dish. Got home and it's loaded with tomatoes! Food quality isn't the best. Meat is not very seasoned, sauce is very runny and tasted like watered down chili liquid, and the iceberg lettuce was cut into huge chunks and scattered all over the food. Ok, so here is a situation. I have been getting my mom out for lunch once a week and all restaurants we have been to are abiding by the 6 foot social distancing with SIGNS marked don't sit here and wearing mask. I mean I have been to probably 6 different places in the last few months. Tonight I meet a friend for dinner and there are no signs of social distancing and even after we ask when being seated will anyone be sat next to us they said no. Well 10 minutes later they sat a couple right next to us. We mention it, they move the couple. Then they do it again, we mention it and they move us to a different seat. Ok, now I am getting upset as no rules are being implemented in this restaurant. So now we are ready to leave and I see almost every table and booth is almost full, still no social distancing, so I ask to speak to the manager and she doesn't care and acts like it's no big deal. I call city police who tell me to call state police who tell me to call Covid hotline with complaints and no one answers. Excuse me? Are we in a virus pandemic and no one cares? How long has this restaurant been possibly spreading this virus (by the way I will never give them my business again). I have friends become infected hard by Covid. It's real and to not care is inexcusable. I will not stop until I get this addressed. I am not happy about the amount of people who take this virus lightly and don't care that someone like myself who has a compromised immune system and so did the person I was with and other people I know could be hit hard. I just want to be safe, keep everyone I'm around safe and I do take it serious and if it wasn't important to have some rules the numbers would be much higher. And the numbers will continue to grow if people don't take it seriously and practice wearing mask and social distancing! I'm not living in fear I am being safe, sensible and responsible!!! I have been supporting the healthcare request since day one and do not go out often but when I do, if you want your business to stay afloat...follow the guidelines, PLEASE or I will not be back! read more

First time here and won't be our last. Came with my husband; he ordered a Mexican burger combo which he loved. He loves spicy food and said it was the perfect balance of ingredients. I got the taco, enchilada, and rice and beans combo. The only thing I didn't care for was the enchilada sauce on top but it was still good, along with everything else. We ended with fried ice cream which was topped with whip cream, chocolate sauce, and honey. It was really delicious and very sweet. The service was wonderful. Our waiter was very nice and friendly, always making sure we were satisfied with our food and refilling our drinks as soon as they ran out (this was during a non busy hour). Lastly the price was great! I definitely would recommend this place to anyone who is craving Mexican food. read more

First of all, I would have to say that although I am not a fan of "mexican" food... this place keeps me coming back. Where to begin! This place is incredible for lunch. They have a plethora of choices ranging from Mexican style eggs to fish fajitas and all for under $6. Add a lunch size margarita for about $3 more and you can call it good. Personally, I like beer but their frozen drinks cannot be passed up! I adore their tilapia fajitas are just to die for, the fish is so tender and moist and you get TWO whole filets with the meal. I usually have enough for three meals- and the leftovers heat up so nicely. I have also had a couple of other options on the lunch menu and although they are wonderful, I cannot get enough of the fish fajita lunch! I also appreciate this place for their dinners! You can pop in with just a few friends, a couple or even a lrage group and even when they are very busy, no worries! They will accommodate you with quick and friendly service at the drop of a hat! My personal favorites are any varieties of the Mexican combo platters or their Cocktail de Cameron (Shrimp cocktail- Mexican style!).... I love when they load it up with jalapenos but sometimes they dont. Alas. Give this place a try and I would be shocked if you are not completely satisfied! read more

For Mexican, I usually go for chicken and cheese enchiladas. They are not so good here. I stick with the chicken fajitas, which seem to have gotten much better recently. I don't think they used to marinate their chicken. It is much tastier now. Everything else pretty good, although my husband says that this is the only place he's ever ordered nachos that they weren't good. The lunch specials are around $5 including a drink and you can always find coupons for dinner, either in mailings or on the web. The food comes out in record time but ask for refills/salsa/sides/tortillas while you have the chance and before you actually need them, as you may not see your server again until it's time to cash out. Stopped here for a quick bite after my shopping trip at the mall. Good food, nice service and really great prices! I got a combo dinner that included several items for just $8.50. The combo I ordered was the one that has all the verde sauce on it...mmm mmm good. Atmosphere was nice and the place was clean. I sat at the bar and ordered a carry out. While I waited for my food I ordered a cocktail...the food got there before the cocktail due to a slow bartender so they lost a point for that. But the bartender was very nice and checked in on me after I had gotten my drink a couple times. BEWARE HERE!!!!!!!! I met a friend here on 4-3-2015 around 8:30pm. I had a diet Coke, that was all I had. The waitress with long blonde hair at the bar, brought me my bill. I handed her a 20 dollar bill, the cost was 2 dollars and 47 cents. She brought me back change from a ten dollar bill. She avoided me for a while then I finally asked her to check because I had given her a 20 dollar bill. She checked and said it was a ten dollar bill. and was arguing with me. I finally left, losing 11 dollars. A single diet Coke ended up costing me 13 dollars and 47 cents there. She also would not give me a receipt. So beware there, if they think you are drinking, you will be ripped off there. I am a Latina so I feel that the way I was treated there was insulting and pretty much criminal. Try not to pay in cash, and I would be careful using a debit card there. I will never go back again. read more

We dine here often because it is the best in the Westland area that serves alcohol. There are many other Mexican restaurants but we always come back to this one. Last weekend, the service and the food were extra-incredible!! Their beans are yummy and not runny like many other places. The food came fast and hot. One thing I cannot seem to get at many places anymore is a good strong top shelf margarita. I am willing to pay the extra, but they still taste a little weak to me. when you go to an ethnic restaurant you expect a certain quality of service, this was not the case. Between the multiple dishes are group ordered the food was consistently bland. My wife ordered an enchilada and a burrito dish with beans and rice and you could not tell them apart, they both tasted exactly the same the meat had no flavor to it, it looked like hamburger meat to be truthful. it took a considerably long time for us to get our food, we had to return two alcoholic beverages (beers!) as they just tasted bad. I frequent mexican restaurants and this place was just a poor experience all around. We will not be going back there again read more

Great Job Los Amigos! Came here on a Friday evening with some friends, and I just knew were weren't eating until midnight however we were seated promptly, and I was very surprised because the restaurant was pretty busy. We were giving chips and salsa right away and drinks followed shortly after. The menu here is pretty big and normally that's a sign that the food is subpar but not in this case. I ordered fish tacos that usually comes with tailspin but I got shrimp instead, and it came along with retried beans and rice. My oh my I was blown away. They were the best shrimp tacos I've had to date. Not a huge fan of flour tortillas but they worked, the shrimp was cooked perfectly and had an amazing flavor, and usually places skimp on the shrimp in meals but these tacos were packed. The drinks were good , the service was good, the only disappointing part of the visit was how cold the restaurant was . I needed a blanket because of cold it was , but I will say that I'll be back for those tacos again, they are a winner! read more
