I literally drive past this restaurant every day after work, so it was finally time I come check it out. I went to dinner with one of my girlfriends on a Friday night. We were seated right away with a reservation. The interior was Tulum inspired, which definitely made it a vibe! There was even a station where someone was making fresh tortillas. We were right in time for the Mariachi Band, which usually plays every Friday from 8-10 PM. We started with the Margarita Flight, which included 4 flavors - Watermelon, Cucumber, Pineapple, Jamaica and the Queso Fundido with Chorizo served with fresh tortillas. I was in the mood for something light, so I ordered the Aguachile Don Lupe Mixto and my friend order the A Lo Mexican Style. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful! We were having such a good time that we ordered another round of drinks - El Flaco and Tamarindo Margarita. We ended the night with a Digestivo - Horchata Carajillo. Shout out to our server! She gave us great recommendations and was very personable and attentive. I definitely will be coming back for Taco Tuesday or Margarita Wednesday!

We had brunch on a Saturday and were amazed by the decor. Definitely felt like we were dinning somewhere in Mexico. It wasn't too busy for a weekend brunch and servers were very attentive. We started off with the queso fundido with chorizo and aguas de pepino. The queso fundido was cheesy and the tortillas were soft. The cucumber water was perfect. Not too sweet and it was pulpy so we knew it was made in house. Strong start. The food took awhile to come out and when it arrived the presentation was lacking in everything except for the nuggets and fries from the kid's menu that was probably the best dish. For the adults we ordered: Caldo de lengua: Received just the tongue in a bland soup. My friend had to waive down the server and ask for onion, cilantro, and salsas to add more flavor to it. Guamachil - the green chilaquiles were good but the machaca was underwhelming. It lacked flavor and was mushy. Sinaloense - this was one of the better dishes with the sope of asientos and carne asada but the sope itself was over fried so it was hard which ruined it all. The beans were also very bland and needed salt. Left most of them. Brunch prices are reasonable, but not enough to come back. The place is definitely more for an aesthetic vibe. There was also a photographer going around taking pictures and we thought it was for their social media advertising but she later returned with printed and framed photos to sell to us. I felt bad so bought one but it was super misleading and ruined the dining experience.

The chicken mole was probably the best I've had in a long time. The service was amazing and so were the drinks. We look forward to coming again.

We arrived as the doors opened and admired the surroundings.

The instant we stepped inside the front door, I felt as if I were in a classy Mexican resort. The decor and vibe were the warmup for top-tier service and exquisite food. Hubs and I enjoyed every moment and every bite. A Mariachi band arrived a few minutes before we were finished eating. We were treated to a few of their songs, and made a mental note to return with a reservation on another weekend evening. Key word to note about the food: authentic. From ingredients to prep to garnishments to presentation, it's classic elegant Mexican. Of note: homemade tortillas being made in front of guests. Aroma wafting among the close tables. As an aside, one MUST visit the restrooms! So much care in every public facing aspect of this jewel.

This restaurant is new to me and I was grateful to have visited here recently. I don't have enough pictures of the aesthetics, however this place is exactly which you would hope a Mexican restaurant would look like. Great decorations throughout, very culturally centered around regions of Mexico. The servers were just in very traditional, Mexican dresses and uniforms. I wasn't however, impressed too much with the food itself. The sauces were pretty basic and nothing too impressive. One of them, the green one almost reminded me of kale juice with a little bit of spice in it. The friend I was with was having the emoladas and he wasn't too impressed. The dish I had is a concoction of green sauce, beef, broth, Asada meat, and some type of pork meat as well. It almost tasted like they just put random meat in a bowl and doused it and green enchilada sauce. Definitely was not the worst Mexican food I've had, but it wasn't the best either. Presentation was actually also pretty impressive. But I return here? Yes, I would. But I would have my expectations in a neutral position versus going in there with high expectations and feeling that down after spending all that money.

When you first walk in you are transported to a lush , beautifully decorated restaurant that reminds me of puerto Vallarta. The staff was incredibly kind. It's Sunday 7:45 and it's packed with a 45 min wait. We sit at the bar and have full service. They bartenders are making glorious cocktails with tahini rims. I wasn't drinking but everything they were making looked delicious. The food was really flavorful. I had carne en su Hugo. This is prime beef cooked in its own sauce. Mexican beans cooked in a clay pot, bacon, coma, banana, peppers, cilantro, and onions. It was phenomenal. My husband had the crujientes De papa. This is fried taco stuffed with potatoes and chicken on a bed of cabbage and covered with cream, queso, avocado , pico de gallo, ribeye sauce, and aïoli. we finished with the flan and that was lovely.

A bit pricey, but honestly can be worth it for the experience. The whole vibe is really fun! They have live music, fresh handmade tortillas, amazing food and drinks, and solid service. You have to order the margaritas too, they're so good. They even have photographers walking around taking pics of you, which makes it feel like an experience more than just dinner. Definitely a lively spot if you're going for the atmosphere too.

We came here first time for father's day and it was an absolute hit; everything was absolutely phenomenal and traditional as someone who makes mexican cooking videos on social media i had my family with me and it exceeded all expectation, Javier our waiter was one of the best and every single dish was a hit my mother was blown away even with the coctails. This is definitely at the top of my list of places we ever been top to bottom, traditional, savory and ambiance

We made reservations ahead of time and were sat within 5 minutes. They have their own parking lot and are located a little past the mall. It's nicely decorated with a Bohemian updated look. It's bigger than it looks as there is a second section towards the back. We walked by a homemade tortilla station where she was making tortillas by hand, which was cool. They have music playing in the background and every so often you hear Las mañanitas playing for someone's birthday. There was one table where they're already grabbing their stuff to leave and they went to their table with lights. I think staff forgot. It started off well with impressions but fell with the service. We ordered drinks first and appetizers. For my drink, I ordered the Dona Lencha. It was a Pretty presentation however, I think they forgot to add the alcohol. My husband said it taste like an agua fresca... Another person who ordered a cocktail said his didn't have any as well. We didn't order another.... We had the queso fundido with chorizo and it was good. We also had the guac with chicharrones and those were good. They brought us chips with 3 salsas. The red had a weird taste to it, and the green one had a good kick to it. Once our food came out, I asked for more salsa for my carnitas. They forgot. I asked again for salsa and tortillas for the carnitas and that took a long time. I was already done with half my meal by the time she came. I then asked her about the rice and beans that came with my meal because it was never brought out and she was going to check on that. That was another mission. I feel like it's common server etiquette to ask if there's anything else needed when you drop off the food. They cleared our plates off and we sat there for a long time without being checked on. We didn't get to order desert. We decided to ask for a check, but there was no one to ask so we went to go ask to pay. Needless to say, the service was not good.

We made reservations to eat here on Valentine's Day and hadn't really looked at any of the reviews before making such decision. When we started to read them, we saw a lot of constant issues being brought up by multiple people. Trying not be discouraged by everyone else, we decided to still give Los Amores de Julia a shot. We arrived a couple minutes before our reservation and were seated quickly after checking in. Our waiter didn't take long to come by and was honestly pretty attentive all throughout the night. At one point during our meal, the manager also came by to check on our table and honestly all the staff was great. They also have mariachi on Saturday nights and luckily we got to experience them on our visit. It's a pretty well decorated restaurant with plenty of seating available throughout the restaurant. Lots of really cool decor everywhere you look. The food is what we were mostly excited about and if I'm going to be real, it's nothing crazy. I tried ordering the enchiladas marinas but they were out of them (you would think they're ready for one of the busiest nights of the year) The queso fundido was just alright and the enchiladas were pretty average. On the bright side, there is a lady making fresh tortillas and you are served fresh ones with the queso. The only thing that actually wowed us was the watermelon margarita which was very delicious. Overall price and quality wise you can get something better elsewhere but it's still a nice spot to go check out.

Greet ambience, service and food. Carlos was great service and customer service! Price and taste was fabulous

This place is great, as soon as my friend and I walked in we got a good vide. We were greeted by our server Lupe who sat us down at our table. She took the time to explain the menu and drinks to us. We ordered a flight of mimosas, and a flight of margaritas. Yummy! We order the guacamole with chicharrones. Yummy! I can go on and on. Bottom line, the food was great! We ate everything and didn't take leftovers home. A big thank you to Lupe for her great service. We will be going back when she's working.

First time going to this place today. I was in the area and decided to stop by luckily it was not full I've seen the ads on instagram and the vibes def look great. Atmosphere id have to give it a 10/10. The decor, the vibes, very clean and spacious for many people. The waiters their style of dress was also very nice. I love how they have a lady making house tortillas on the spot very Mexican authentic and let's not forget the music very good vibes. The girl in the front was very polite and the manager who are walking around and asking if everything is good or if we need anything, I love it also very attentive. There is a girl who goes around and takes your picture they do sell those photos in which I purchased one. I loved it, thought it's good idea to bring more revenue to the place. 10/10 on this. Now my waiter was a little slow and didn't come in and check how we were doing after the food came in. I'd have to say 6/10 on this part. The food part I was a little bit disappointed why, because I was expecting more glamour on the dishes very basic I order the steak. The portion on the steak was great, but I was really surprised they only slapped on a quesadillas which was warm and a tiny bit of guacamole like a table spoon, rice and beans which where also warm. I was excepting a little more wow on the dishes but were very basic/bare minimum when it came to presentation. The presentation was not the greatest. My mom order the 4 street tacos and they had meat but a pinch of cilantro and a pinch of onion, the lime was dry as well and a small amount of salsa 5/10 for food. I really hope they improve this bc the amount of time and money this place presents visually doesn't compare to food presentation. Agua fresca felt a bit over sugary. Id expected a little more for a popular place but over all this place 5/10. Also I was surprise they didn't offer chips and salsa, even high end restaurants offer some kind of appetizers. Would I come here again? No, I think the atmosphere is what people get the hype about.

I visited this past Saturday and it was quite busy inside like it always is. The restaurant is large enough to fit a lot of people, so finding a seat isn't an issue. To order, you line up in front of the register and wait until they call you. Once it was my turn, I ordered a Super Burrito with Al Pastor, which is my favorite protein choice there. Usually I order 2 tacos with my burrito but I was saving room for Korean bbq that day! The Super Burrito comes with your choice of meat, rice, beans, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and cheese. I also ordered a medium pineapple agua fresca, which paired perfectly with my burrito. After ordering, you're handed a number to take to your table so the servers know where to bring your food. As I'm waiting for my food, I helped myself to the self-serve chip bar. The chip bar is my favorite thing about the restaurant besides the food and quick service. I always get loads of both the white and red pickled onions, and some salsa to go with my chips. They offer many sides to choose from so that anyone can customize their meal to their liking. The pickled onions have the perfect level spice and acidity to them which helps with cutting down the greasiness you may get from a burrito. I also like to snack on them for fun too! The food comes out extremely quickly. When I finished placing my order and brought my number to my table, I went to the self-serve bar right after to get some chips. Not even 2-3 minutes later, I came back to my table with my burrito already there! The burrito was absolutely delicious and piping hot. I never really got his name, but I was kind of proud of him because he was working hard at his family's restaurant. I ordered probably something bigger than I could eat because I had to take leftovers home, but it was really a tasty meal, and they're coming out with more chips and salsa without being asked, probably didn't help as well as a second lemonade. It's really impressive when you have a well oiled machine and it appeared to me that the people that worked there seem to be happy so that's always a good sign of good management. Several years back, I worked in the restaurant industry doing maintenance and repairs so I went to a lot of different restaurants and saw a lot of things so I know what to look for. I'm definitely gonna come back when my brother and his wife come up from the Bay Area my friend Ivan he'll wanna go there for lunch or dinner I know. He's kind of a picky eater and was born in Mexico, but I think he'll be impressed with this place.

There is a lot of seating with booths that easily seat 6 people around the periphery and tables with chairs in the main floor area. Our server was good and attentive and the water glasses were kept filled. Everyone was happy with the dishes they ordered. They have a children's section on the menu with very generous portions. I loved their creamy refried beans. I ordered carnitas quesadillas and was very pleased. I highly recommend this restaurant.

They have a brunch menu but we both ended up ordering from the main menu. She had Camarones de Borrachos and I had La Torta Gorda Carnitas. Both were extremely flavorful. The Camarones was a new recipe apparently. More chipotle flavored with a slight kick. From the looks the shrimp were very plump. My Torta was great. Bread was nice and butter and the carnitas were magnificent as advertised by our friendly waiter, Dustin. I also had a Horchatalada which was a sweet way to wash down this heavy food. Great experience and i cant wait to come back and try something else.

From what I could see, the restaurant looked really inviting and I appreciated that they have a dog friendly patio. I always have my pup with me and that is the main reason we chose this location. I liked the style and design of the interior of the restaurant and overall it had a very nice vibrant feel. The staff was also warm and friendly. Unfortunately, the food was a mixed bag. The Torta Gorda was the biggest disappointment. The meat was very bland and seemed barely seasoned while the bread had become soggy by the time we got it home. There just wasn't much to it. The mole also missed the mark for me. The sauce lacked the rich complex flavors I expect from a good mole and the chicken was noticeably dry. The rice, beans and esquites were ok. The nachos on the other hand were quite good. They were flavorful and satisfying and although I thought they were a little heavy-handed with the radishes, I mostly enjoyed the flavors. For for three people the bill came to around $100 after tip which felt a bit steep, especially considering the overall quality of the meal. While this visit didn't live up to my expectations, I'm willing to give Polanco Cantina another shot and probably dine in next time. I have a much better idea now of which dishes to steer clear of and the restaurant itself seemed promising so I'm hoping the experience is improved when the food is enjoyed fresh from the kitchen.
