    Candle set up

Pretty venue for a romantic candlelight concert! Plenty of available parking ($12) and staff to manage the event. Great date spot and experience to enjoy a live string quartet!

It was my first time visiting the Equestrian in Burbank! I went on a Sunday evening for a Candlelight event with some friends. There was a short line for parking and it was $12. After parking, we walked over and checked in with the host. The usher walked us to our seats and shared there was a bar outside and where the bathroom was located. We checked out the bar area and they had cocktail tables set up outside which was perfect for grabbing a drink before the show. Everything was organized and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable!

The venue was ok. The food was fine. The potato bar was delicious and the desserts were good! But other than that the tables were spaced out very unevenly and it was hard to find a table to sit at. Most people had to stand. The Photo Booth was outside. The paper plates and plastic forks were kind disappointing imo. But the workers seem pretty nice and easy to chat with. The bar area was kinda small I wish there was more space with the bar area, the lines were getting massive! But thankfully there's plenty of parking.

Beautiful equestrian center and very large but maintained very well from the lands to the grass. Felt very safe and comfortable. Lots of parking and clear directional signs.

Drone Show to Live Classical Music

Drone Art light show going along to live classical music while snuggled up in a blanket munching on snacks. What an awesome date night! Parking was $20 upon arrival. They take credit card. There was a taco truck and ice cream truck at our event. Picnic seating is first come first serve, as well as the parking on the dirt road. The classical music was great and the drones did very well being in tune with the live music. There are a lot of flies and mosquitos. Didn't get bit by any mosquitos but figured I point that out. Staff were very friendly and helpful on directing us where to park and where to set up our blankets to sit. We left a little early from the show to beat the crowd of getting out. Leaving the parking lot was a bit confusing. It was a one way in, one way out situation. Highly recommend checking out the drone art show!

I am pretty sure I came here for my horse riding lesson YEARS ago. I also came here for the DRONE ART SHOW by FEVER which was a special CANDLELIGHT CONCERT. Really enjoyed it. It was very organized, a lot of staff, parking, and they had nicer porta potties. The grass was clean & in good health. No horse poop smell at all anywhere. We were prob in the special events area because they had a banquet hall type building nearby so they prob do weddings & stuff here.

Cigarette butt in grazing field, one of many

If you come to LAEC to take lessons or horseshow I believe you will have a good time. As a boarder there, it is a very different story. The new management, ASM, only cares about one thing - the events they host on the property. They do not care about horse welfare or boarder happiness. I moved my horse out of LAEC recently due to the awful management ASM. This includes but is not limited to: lumpy riding rings that undragged/barely have any footing in them, trash left all over the property (including cigarette butts where the horses graze and plastic in the turnouts) harassment by boarders that goes unchecked and unmanaged, sharp nails left all across the ground during construction & construction without notice or hazard signs, broken pipes in the sunpens. I could go on and on and on and on. It is embarrassing that ASM calls LAEC "one of the highest profiled equestrian centers in the US" with it looking like this, and that boarders are expected to pay close to 1K per month for a stall. DO NOT bring your horse to LAEC. Try the Paddock, which is a much better managed and well-run with professionals who have experience running an equine facility. I'm glad I did.

My niece Erika is quite the equestrian! She has been riding since she was a child... what an impressive human! And so talented. Anyway, went here last week and I had no idea how big in acreage this center occupies. And it is astounding to see all these beautiful horses and the folks who care for them. I had no idea how much I would love the experience. I know I am a dog whisperer, but horses seem to have an affection for me and vice versa! They are exquisite animals!!! I made friends with Sully who was rescued by these amazing trainers and horse lovers... I definitely do not want to ride but I am thinking of volunteering my time to help there. I fell in love! And what fun to hang with my Reghanti family... a joyous experience.

The beautiful view out of the bar!!

The Savor bar is fantastic! Quality drinks at a reasonable price and a fabulous bartender!! I would try their Sangria!

I don't think you can find a better place than this. This is like an oasis in the city. Everyone can have fun here. Learning how to ride a horse and seeing beautiful animals while your own kids are getting better on the horse back. This is place is huge. With 3 equestrian schools, I believe. You can find instructors that is right for your level and you can also make friends here. Most of the places here have no shades and it is hot in the summer, or most of the time. Sunblock is recommended as well as mask to block the dusk in case you are sensitive to dust. If you don't ride horses or you don't have anything to do here, walking around here is also a good option to exercise and to keep you healthy. Most people here are nice. The manager, Dale, showed me around on his golf cart and chatted with me. He said he could help with any questions and he's lived on the premises for years. Love this place, but please drive carefully as the animals are easily scared and they can be seen walking on the streets around here as well.

YELP 100 REVIEW CHALLENGE --- 50/100 I recently went here for my sister in law's bday. She's been wanting to go horseback riding for years and finally decided to do it this year. We decided on this place because we lived near by and the prices are decent. We did the one hour trail ride. It's $25 per person unless you weigh a little bit more. Then it's $45. (CASH) Parking for the place is the first left all the way to the end. This is where you initial and sign a couple of things via ipad. The lady who signed us in, I forgot to ask for her name, was very nice and gave us a few tips. You are offered a helmet (optional) but it is recommended. Also any loose items might definitely fall out, so make sure you have a secure place to put them. We didn't get to choose our horses, but my horse was named Daisy. Our guide, Miguel (I think that was his name) was great! He adjusted my straps and even showed me the proper way to hold the reigns. He made sure all the horses were in line and warned us when the horses were about to trot. "Hold on to your saddles!", he would say. We were combined with a few people, but that was alright. The horses pretty much knew where to go and your only job is to make sure you don't fall and do anything crazy. You steer to the left and right and you definitely learn a few things from your guide along the way. Overall a great place. I would definitely go back. PS. Prepare to feel some pain, if you're a first time rider. All worth it though.

With nothing scheduled for the afternoon, we came across Sunset Ranch Hollywood and booked their evening 2-hour trail ride. It turned out to be the perfect way to start our trip. We ended up being the only two on the ride, which made the experience even more special. Our guide, Ashley, was knowledgeable, personable, and easy to talk to. The conversation throughout the ride made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal. The views were incredible--overlooking the Hollywood Hills, the Hollywood sign, the observatory, and even out toward Glendale. It's a perspective you just don't get any other way. We rode Apollo and Rain, and both horses were fantastic. They were calm, well-trained, and clearly knew the trail, which made the ride easy and enjoyable--even for riders who don't have a lot of experience. With just a few small corrections along the way, we felt more confident than we probably deserved. I'm sure a group ride would be fun, but having such a small, personal experience really made this memorable for us. It was a great way to kick off a special weekend, and I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

They required us to get there 30 minutes before the tour. We got there at 9:30am, but the tour did not start until 10:30am. We waited for an hour before we can get on the back of the horse. This place is pretty private. We will have to make a call at the gate, so the staff can buzz us in. Parking structure is small, and it gets full fast. Staff was not too friendly unsure if they get burnt out with the tour. The horses looked tired and some of them look sick. My horse kept its head down throughout the ride. The one hour ride is basically sitting on the back of the horse, walking up the trail that we can see the Hollywood sign, and turned around at some point. Not worth the price you pay for. I will not be back.

I have always wanted to ride a horse since I was a little kid. Something about horses and myself go hand in hand. They are powerful animals and I like power to a certain extent. Since my son knew how much I have been wanting to ride a horse, he surprised me and got 2 tickets to go to horseback riding. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the tickets. With that being said, him and I went there beginning of this year. You get to choose the duration of the time, what type of horse you want to rent, and once you get on it you also choose the speed how and what you like. As beginners, we went for slow-to medium. It was perfect for an entire hour. Tickets for both adults and kids are $50, per person. Trust me, it's so worth it!! The staff were very welcoming, accommodating, understanding, asked us if we had any previous injuries, cuts, wounds, heart condition before you sign the consent form and get on top of that poor animal that had to take us around and round. We chose to go and see different scenic sites, and it also takes you around Griffith park area. It has many different trails and we asked for ALL or nothing. Who knows when will I ever experience this wonderful pleasure again? We had a great time, it goes straight with a whole hour w/out making any stops. Get some water with you. The only downside is that they don't except any other method of payments except cash. That's ok, it didn't bother us. There is a guide that goes with you to make sure you are safe and so are the horses!! Has parking, restrooms and I am glad that we went on this journey. Hours of operation is every day from 9AM to 5pm. You can make reservations online or just simply go in person. All are welcome!! Forgot the names of our horses though. Thank you all for this WONDERFUL pleasure/experience that you have brought into our lives. Will definitely return next time I am in the mood for some horseback riding.

We came on a Sunday morning at 9 am on a sunny day in November and no one else opted to ride at this time so it ended up being a private ride just for us. Another reviewer complained that their ride wasn't private but I don't even know if they offer actual private rides here?? If you want one your best bet would be calling to see if anyone else has booked a time slot and book one that is less likely to be popular such as weekday early morning etc. We chose to $50/person for a 1 hour approximately 3 mile ride (3.5 according to my watch). Your horse will be selected for you and I rode with Cortez who was friendly and very beginner friendly! Our guide was both English and Spanish speaking and directed us through the route, telling us which way to go but the horses are really good about already knowing the route so required reorienting them isn't very necessary. There isn't any other dialogue exchanged like info on the trails or historic info about Griffith park but both my friend and I are local to LA so we didn't mind but something to keep in mind for tourists. We did come across a pack of 3 coyotes but they didn't bother us and the horses did not get scared at all! The rental place also offers helmets (wear one!!!) for free in different sizes. It was quite sunny when we went so even though it was cooler outside we actually got really hot so I recommend dressing in layers, wearing pants you're ok with getting dirty/dusty, and boots or sneakers as well as sunglasses.
