Both myself and my nephew had our hair cut this past Saturday and Sunday, by barber Marvin. He was terrific. Very personable and knowledgeable of his craft. Saturday 3/23/2024 there was a DJ in the shop. Although this shop has a trendy vibe a welcoming atmosphere, the addition of the very loud music was not necessary. Between the barber's buzzers and the chatter from all the patrons, the addition of the DJ was overpowering, and I felt that I was yelling to speak to my barber. Marvin gave a great cut, and I promptly booked following my cut for my nephew the following day. Sans DJ, the next day the experience was great. We all were able to chat and had a great experience. Barbershops have always been know as a place to hang out and chat, not going to a club. So even though I give this review four stars, our barber Marvin deserves six. Found Los Barberos yesterday for my Husband ,Jorge hooked him up ,got him looking fresh again ,and out of the COVID Cut they treated us very good as soon as we walked in they offered us a beverage (along with my baby girl ) and made sure we were all comfortable and happy . Stellar Barber Shop! Booked a first-time appointment with this place as I've been looking for a new barber. Started with Yelp pics, reviews and such and of course drivable distance (right off the freeway). Found a great one! The place is cool AF and the guys are all great. Welcomed and engaged from entering, there was a game on and lively conversation throughout. They offered me a beverage, and another when they noticed I'd finished the one they gave me (I was early). There are chairs and couches as well as a cool looking "bar" type counter toward the back (seriously cool looking easy to chill kind of place). Then, the haircut... I sat with Jorge, a super chill, easy-conversation type dude. He asked questions, looked at a photo I pulled up on my phone, then asked a few more questions to make sure we were synced on the style I was going for. And he nailed it! I've been going to strip-mall type places for a bit since I moved a couple years ago, which made my former shop too far to drive. Haven't been too happy with a cut since then. It's always pretty ok and it's just hair, right? But... when you find a place like this, the experience and the cut are all top notch, and the people are cool.... It's just better... by a lot! When I usually walk in the door from a cut, my wife says "it looks good" and that's usually followed by "how do you feel about it?", because she knows I'm particular and haven't been getting the type of style/cuts I'd like to have. He is skilled, meticulous, and professional when doing his work. The environment is chill with a bar-style vibe, sugar skull wallpaper, and old-school yet modern decor and lighting. This would have been 2nd visit at Los Baeberos tonight but was very disappointed. I made an appointment in advance for a haircut. Arrived 15mins early and waited for my barber to finish up with another client. When my appointment came around, he was still cutting the previous clients' hair, which was fine. But waited additional 15mins past my appointment and it seemed like he was not done so I waited another 10mins and had to walk out. Would have been nice if he had communicated with me that he was running late and offered another barber to cut my hair. But instead, nobody offered their services as everyone in the shop were all busy on their phones... I don't mind waiting but please communicate with your clients if things are running late. read more

This was my first time here. I live in the neighborhood so I've walked by a bunch of times. I usually go to sport clips or great clips. In the past I even just used clippers on myself. Today I wanted s better haircut so I tried it. I got Edgar. He was great. High attention to detail. Friendly, but he didn't bombard me with small talk. He trimmed my hair and beard more perfectly that I have ever had in my life. I feel fancy now. Clean, crisp lines. The wife liked it a lot. Cost is 35 bucks and you should tip, but it's your head for Christ's sake. Show people you care. I recommend this to any guy to try at least once especially if you have facial hair. Very happy Oh and they offer you a drink, even beer. Great ambiance and a movie playing. At one point he used a straight razor. --- Since this review I have gone twice more.
