Had leftovers for 2 of us. Beautiful plants all around entrance but dining room is a bit sad, seems most drive thru. Clean enough with plenty of chairs and tables if you dine in which we did, running errands but Bathrooms could use spiffing up. Free chips on the counter that are thin crispy and yummy but no salsa bar, just mini plastic solos. Salsa are good though. You could start by saying their service is awful if you go inside they will make you wait until you ring the bell to get their attention no matter if there's anyone in the drive-through or not. If you go through the drive-through they won't tell you the total for your order until you get to the window and surprisingly it'll be 4 to 5 dollars more than you expected. This was my first time visiting a Los Betos. I know they use to be something else and I probably visited. But, still my first for Los Betos. Ordered two fish tacos and two shrimp tacos figuring this would be a light lunch for me and my wife. Boy was I wrong! The tacos were high! Full of flavor and both fish and shrimp. Both green and red sauce served on the side. As with keeping with the times, one server and one cook/chef. Went the drive thru way. The server was very nice and we spent some time talking while the food was prepared. Got them home and the wife said, I thought you said a light lunch! Excellent value for the money. The food is NOT good! The carne asada burrito had only nerve (cueros) as meat. The rest was veggies. The tortilla was like eating cardboard. The salsa tasted like powered chile mixed with water. If I could give a 0 star I would. I went in there last week. Food was mehh. But there staff is horrible. I took my 5 year old there for lunch, I accidentally left my car key at the counter. Realized it when I was getting ready to leave. Asked the cashier she said she saw it on the counter but didnt know where it went. So I asked the 2 other groups that came on after me. Los Betos has good food. I eat there often. They are thou very environmentally unfriendly. The have a customer side water leak at their water meter. City of Tucson Water has investigated and the leak is Los Betos responsibility to repair. I have stopped eating at their restaurant because are wasting extremely valuable resource. I've been to other locations. I was very disappointed with my order of Super Nachos last night. Basically it was nachos and meat. The pico,sour cream and guacamole was off to the side so it was difficult to mix together. The most disappointing part was there was barely any cheese. It was to the point, I thought it didn't come with cheese or they'd forgotten it. I also had tons of nachos left, meaning there just wasn't enough toppings. The nice thing I can say is they added rice and beans to the order when I was at the drive thru because I'd forgotten to order it. But, I did order two large Horchatas and they were not put on the order so we had to pay separately. Because of this, when I have a craving for nachos, I'll remember how good Nico's were and not return to Los Betos. Also, my son showed me his pinto beans the next day so he could explain why he didn't eat them. They were gray. When I give 3 stars, to me - this is average and what you get. This is a fast food Mexican place. I've never been inside, I always do the drive thru and get burritos. I've had Pollo Asada here and Carne Asada. It took me a long time to venture to Pollo Asada as I'm always concerned about the whole chicken deal. Sometimes the burrito's are better than other times. I can't say why as I can't see what the cook is doing or if it's a different cook. If the food was consistently good, I'd give it 4 stars. The food is good enough to keep me coming back, the service is mediocre and it's close to home. Overall, you can get a decent burrito reasonably quick for under $6.00. I'm rating los betos in comparison to other "fast food mexican places" out there. I have to say, this particular one is very good. We've been there many late nights and it's always been pretty good. I've had all kinds of foods there. The best in my opinion are their shredded beef tacos and nachos. Both are delicious. There is filabertos on 22nd and kolb that is really good though I think los betos beats them on their tacos. Filabertos gives you bigger burritos if that sort of thing is important to you. This place SUCKS! I ordered a bunch of sour cream. No big deal. However it was not busy in the drive through. Super dead. The guy was rude and STILL managed to charge me but not include it in my order. I usually check the bag but because it was dead and I was the only person in the drive-through or the restaurant in general and I specifically made it clear what I wanted to add on and they repeated it back to me I drove away with confidence that the person was capable of doing a simple job. This business is the most rudest fucking group of people I've ever met in my life. I went here with my boyfriend, and got the three mini Chimi meal, I am a type of person who does not like vegetables in my meal, I asked for beef Chimi with no vegetables inside to employees confirm that there was no vegetables inside the meat. Upon receiving my order I take my first bite and it was filled with peppers and onions. I called the store Jorge specifically told me that they would refund me and/or remake the meal properly. I come the next day to have the meal remade and the lady assistant manager causes a big commotion on remaking the meal because she also was one who said that there was no vegetables in the meat after two people have confirmed it then they don't want to fix their error After a long argument as to why she does not want to fix the order due to their mistake, she agreed to remake the meal, they said the meat was a mix with vegetables and that it could not be separated, so they allowed me to get Carne Asada and the chimichangas.The following day I go to get the meal with the Carne Asada again because I really enjoyed it. When I try to order it Jorge, told me that's not what they do they don't do Carne Asad in them. Literally at the window he did not even explain as to why, but only answer was no we won't do that no no no no no, no it won't happen. Literally not trying to make any type of accommodation for me. I let them know and explained that the following day this isn't manager approved it because of the situation. He continue to be disrespectful and telling me that he would not do it and was just so rude beyond compare. I explained why I did not want the beef being told that it could not be separated by the assistant manager the following day. To me it doesn't matter if it was Carne Asada or just normal shredded beef, as long as there was no vegetables that was the only thing. So after literally telling me no multiple times. I went to the window I seen the cook the following day that I made the Carne Asada chimichangas, he was grateful to make them again the same way with Carne Asada. Jorge then said to the cook something in Spanish that I could not understand, and told her cook pretty much no because then the cook looked at me and just put his arms up like I'm sorry I can't I have to listen to him. The fact that these multiple employees do not want to please their customers makes me beyond upset. Don't get in the food business if you don't want to make the customer happy that is the point of being in food business you're supposed to make the customer happy and want to come back to your restaurant and want to buy your food. Not only that but they're overpriced anyways for Mexican food. Either these people need to get some manners or stop opening their business because I'm fucking sick of getting rude ass attitudes every time I go to that restaurant and at this point I'm just taking them completely off my meal plan anytime I want Mexican food there's plenty of other restaurants here in Tucson. And I would put that if I was desperate and nobody else was open and that's final. The main reason as to why even go there in the first place is because they're one of the closest 24 hour Mexican food restaurants to where I live and I get off work late. I am not satisfied with my most recent visit. I have been to this location (grant and dodge) the past three nights everytime I ordered the same thing. The first night they charged me 5.99, then the next night 6.05, then tonight they charged me 6.27. I'm wondering how prices can change so quickly or if they're simply charging what they feel like. Not to mention the employees are never friendly, professional, or courteous.
