I went for a quick take away lunch and found that the restaurant was having an issue with the internet making them unable to accept card bank-card payments. They had a technician on hand but I was going to be late to an appointment so they just gave me my order with apologies. It wasn't there fault and I plan on returning to pay them. However the gesture was very kind and I will be back. They have some of the best mexican food around and at fantastic prices. A great value. I had the vegetarian burrito. Just ok. We came on a Saturday morning to place a to-go order for breakfast tacos. It was busy, but the order took 25 minutes to fill. The avocado salsa was good, and the red salsa was mediocre. Both were homemade. Taco prices were cheap and we paid about $8.60 for 6 tacos. They tasted fine, but nothing to really wow us. They were also kinda small, but understandable given the price. This is a great little Taqueria, the service is great! I frequent this restaurant a few times a week and they always greet me with a smile and take good care of me! Although it's not the most eye-catching place out there the food is cheap and loaded with great taste! It's pretty easy to get in and out of although they do get extremely busy for Breakfast, especially on weekends. But, their breakfast taco's are definitely worth the wait. First off, and I'm not complaining, but they don't charge enough here. The place is always packed. I came here one Sunday morning and heard a man at a table of 8 complaining to the waitress that it was taking too long. Sir, if you don't have the patience for amazing food then you should just go to McDonald's. I on the other hand have all day, so more for me thank you very much! UGH. We went here this morning to grab a few quick breakfast tacos. It was an easy order, but the waitress didn't seem to understand English very well. I figured at least the tortillas will be homemade, so I asked her about that. She told me they were NOT homemade! I mean, really? This is supposed to be a REAL Mexican place. Even Chuy's makes their flour tortillas from scratch. Anyway, we watched everyone around us get their food as the time crawled by. Even people who came in and ordered after us were getting their food. While we were waiting, my guy went to the bathroom. He said it was filthy! The toilet was overflowing with something. (I will spare you the details.) I asked several times for someone to check on our food. The girl pouring coffee said she would check, but another waitress just completely ignored me. Eventually, a girl brought what we THOUGHT was our order. I was fuming, by this point, since we were starving and had been waiting about 40 minutes for TWO breakfast tacos. Guess what. The tacos didn't have any of the items we ordered on them except eggs. That was it! We asked how much we owed for the coffee and promptly exited the dirty diner. i can't give a review on the food because...we NEVER received it!! We ordered simple breakfast tacos, nothing extravagant. After an hour of watching our waitress disappear for extended periods of time and seeing other waitresses bringing out huge meals for other lucky patrons we finally walked out. All we received was water and salsa...no chips like all the other patrons received. Ridiculously neglectful service and a big waste of my time! First I must ask "Why are they listed twice here"? I also find it odd the Lamar location is getting mostly excellent reviews while the 620 location is not. Hmmmm. Anywhoooo I thoroughly enjoy my weekly visits to this location. The steak fajita tacos are the $#@&. I get 'em with the onions and cilantro, sometimes I add some white cheese (or queso blanco). The chips and salsa are great. The prices are very reseanable, so I hope all of the Yhiners (Yelp whiners) rush into the nearest Taco Hell store next time they need a taco fix. The staff is very attentive and the place seems clean enough for me. On a recent visit I reckon' they were grillin' up some fish---so they had the door propped open so it wouldn't smell like a Ho House. My carne asada burrito was filled with diced meat, beans, lettuce, pico de Gallo, and sour cream...All of which had no flavor. :/. The staff was friendly and quiet. I went to Gaudalajara with a couple other friends from Concordia because the my room mate for the summer really wanted shrimp tacos. I knew I should have known better since we are 4+ hours from any body of water that has shrimp in it but I went along. I ended up ordering a shrimp taco, a beef taco, and a chicken taco. I was not impressed with any of them. There was just no flavor to them. That combined with the fact that the shrimp were cocktail shrimp (you know the really minuscule ones they put in like salad) which in my book is not really shrimp at all. I will say that one of the guys got their nachos and they looked delicious but I'm not really sure because he didn't finish them. I'm sure that Guadalajara might have a dish or two that they excel at making but I didn't find it when I was there and sadly I don't think I will be going back. read more

My family has been eating here for years. Love their breakfast tacos! We ate there recently for breakfast and they were in the midst of construction inside as we are eating our food!! Ugh...my husband was very disgusted and got up to pay our bill; but as he did the site manager overseeing the construction felt really bad and offered to pay our bill. I had 3 crispy beef tacos... the meat was flavorful but greasy, the shells freshly made (not from a box) but they overdo the lettuce and skimp on cheese and tomatoes. The chips and salsa are yummy. I prefer the breakfast tacos from here. I love the cheese and their green sauce is muy delicioso! I have had lunches/dinners before and the last few times were at home so I will consider the reviews for those only tainted by the fact that they were taken to go and might have suffered quality degradationon the way home. This place is pretty legit. The food is prepared in a way that is more homestyle than restaurant style. Kind of hard to describe, but its a slightly different kind of tasty. Holy cow. I was driving by this place, and thought I would give it a try since I like Mex street food. I think it may have been the worst that I ever had. I thought east coast mexican food was terrible, but it is much better than the food served at this place. I ordered a lot of food, so I was able to sample it. Some of the food, like the picadillo tacos, wasn't fully cooked. It seemed like they added a bunch of sugar to the salsas, so that was nasty. Cheap, kick-ass food. What more could you ask for? I can get my fill for six bucks or less. This is one of the best restaurants you'll find in CP. However, if you want a margarita, go somewhere else unless you like neon green mix with no discernable trace of tequila. Absolutely disgusting. Like, it's been a long time since I've found bad food in Austin and boom here it is. A place that's been around forever it seems and its just awful. My "burrito" consisted of a cat food like substance in the middle with soggy lettuce. My boyfriend ordered the "supreme enchilada", tell me how ground beef wrapped in a raw corn tortilla with some nasty ass cheese on top is considered supreme. There was literally nothing else on them. This place was near my hotel, so I decided to check it out. We were greeted as soon as we stepped through the door (but the place was pretty empty). The waitress spoke to us in English first but then switched over to Spanish when she realized we too were bilingual. My sister and I both enjoyed our food, although my sister found hers super spicy (her meat was a-la-mexicana). The portions were huge, they had several sides, and different choices of tortillas and aguas frescas. The food tasted like homemade Mexican food, as opposed to Mexican restaurant food. I like both types, so I was pleased. As long as it's legit and not imitation, I'll almost always be a happy customer. My meat was a little on the salty side, but I still liked it and ate past the point of feeling full. I'd go back, but I'd probably try something new. Their menu was extensive and I wanted to order several things. Oh, and they had Mexican novelas on tv. Such a plus! read more
