The name has changed but I still enjoy this spot. I had the enchiladas braseros and a Mexican martini. Both were delicious. The family had some fajitas, a kids taco, and a chicken burrito. All happy campers. Finished up with some churros. Service was friendly and helpful and the dining area is clean and well decorated.

I love this place! The food and drinks are great. The staff is very nice and the service is fast. The creamy green salsa is SO GOOD!!!

New name - Los Braseros - formerly known as Guadalajara - nothing else changed.

Guadalajara is now Los Braseros. The name on this page needs to be updated. Same restaurant, same menus, same drinks, same decor -- even the window paintings have not changed. It's just a new name for this restaurant. My husband and I have been here a number of times, mostly during colder months for the tortilla soup, or to pick up tacos because it's so close to home. Today we came for breakfast. We were underwhelmed. The food was lacking in flavor... BUT they did bring 3 giant squirt bottle of salsa to the table which really does make up for it -- we were able to load up on fresh salsa to complete our meals. Since we normally come during the holidays or just for pickup, we don't have much experience with the service and today was a disappointment. The waitress misheard water as tea, my husbands coffee was served only with dairy-free FLAVORED french vanilla creamer disposables, and we sat for a very long time waiting to pay our bill and leave -- once they noticed we were ready to leave, we were given a dollar amount and asked for a card at the table for instant charging. It's nice that they have modern devices, but the customer should be able to see the bill first, especially when the prices go up after 11am, and we ordered at 10:40 but paid at 11:30. I asked for an itemized receipt after paying, but never recieved one -- I was only given a copy of the payment receipt, showing only the subtotal, tax, and our payment information. Upon leaving, I went to take some photos so I could show that Los Braseros is just a name change -- same business as Taqueria Guadalajara... and to my dismay I noticed the red sign outside the entrance showing that Williamson County gave this restaurant an UNSATISFACTORY health rating from code enforcement. Hopefully they are just waiting for a re-inspection date? I frequent the JuiceLand next door to this restaurant several times per week, so I will check to see when/if their rating improves. Until then we won't be back.

Great local tex mex place. Waitress was fast, helpful and polite. Food came out fast and I have been here multiple times and every time the food has been delicious. Great assortment of salsas and they serve breakfast all day. I will definitely be back.

I love this hole in the wall diner- wait staff is quick to take your order and deliver. I always opt for the migas plate with extra pico-they don't put cilantro in theirs so for me, that's the gold standard. I also get ranchero sauce on the side. So yummy- their coffee is also a favorite, especially if you like a little chicory.

Christmas Eve lunch with my Husbae before we start cooking Christmas dinner. Who wants to cook hungry ‍. My hunny ordered Steak and shrimp fajitas and the portion was bananas. So much yummy food. Great flavor and very authentic. I ordered Bistek al last mexicana which was even better. I highly recommend stopping in this little spot , gabbing a margarita and a meal. The service is amazing, food is great as well.

My family and several friends have been eating at Guadalajara on a regular basis for years. The service has always been great. I have never gotten any dish that was not top of the line. My favorite breakfast item is the Chilaquiles and Carna Asada with green sauce. The serving is large and very flavorful. Their salsa is fresh and on point. Guadalajara will continue to be on 'My Keepers List'.

    Small, but well-stocked service bar

Guadalajara has a nice variety of high quality tacos and plates available from early til late. Sometimes I sample the menu widely and sometimes I go boring-mode and get a metric shitload of bean and cheese tacos with fresh diced onions and jalapeños on the side. "Boring" bean and cheese tacos pop when slathered in delicious homemade salsas. Regardless of the selections, I overbuy out of respect for future me. The efficient and friendly staff serves a fun, diverse and loyal clientele. You can tip in cash or on your card. If you enjoy the occasional cold one, they have a small bar that makes the brief wait for food even more pleasant. No bar seating, but they serve beer and mixed drinks to your table. There are so many great businesses in this area and Guadalajara is a N 620 stalwart.

The food was super delicious and authentic. We really enjoyed tampiquena (beef steak with mushrooms with chicken enchilada, rice and beans), chile relleno, and beef burrito. We have been to many fancy Mexican restaurants (La Popular, Bulevar, Manuel's, and Fonda San Miguel) in Austin but this is our favorite for food.

She noticed I was ordering dairy items on side and asked about if pesto in guacamole was ok. So astute and kind of her. Also on my friends second drink remembered she didn't want salt or her rim without even asking - Everything tasted so fresh and high quality - Brisket tacos: packed with flavor--maybe it was the wagyu meat or the black magic oil. Freshly made corn tortillas were awesome. Usually corn ones and pretty throwaway meh, but these added to the greatness of the tacos. 5 stars - Duck flautas: crispy covered in mild mole. Loved the mashed potato addition inside for some mellowness and texture. 5 stars - Guacamole: so fresh and that dollop of pesto on top was lovely. Served with crispy masa dippers were impressive almost a 8x11 page size. It was fun to crack off into pieces, but hard to stop eating it. 5 stars - Sweet potato: friend loved these long charred wedges. 4.5 stars - Cocktails were stellar. I got the Don Dario which was a play on a marg and delightful - $12 of a few drinks during lucky hour (Mon-Fri 5-6pm, Sat-Sun 3-5pm) - High energy vibes in a clean, open, tan colored space - Had their bottle water on the table in a champagne bottle which speaks to my heart Midlights: - In East Austin so have to Uber if you are staying more central - Tacos come in orders of 4. I've only been once and it's definitely not gonna be the last time. In fact, we've got an upcoming reservation that's been on the books for quite sometime. They've managed to remain delicious, relevant and in demand 50 years! That's saying something. I'll tell you what that says...it says they rule! Reservations can be tricky to get but oh so worth it. The bar & atrium are fantastic and they boast a generous happy hour. The restaurant area and entire space are decorated wonderfully. Amazing artwork adorns the walls, they've got extensive art all about, vaulted ceilings and more. It's kind of like being in a hacienda. It feels like you're in Mexico. Truly. The restaurant and food are upscale without being pretentious. How refreshing! Speaking of refreshing...they've got cocktails and mocktails that will knock your socks off. I'm a big fan of the Nojito. My boyfriend loves the Mexican martini (it's primo). Let's talk about food. Wow-wee is it everything and then some. This is the kind of Tex-Mex flavor that sends your tastebuds into a tailspin of goodness! On our visit we did a salsa flight (we did 3 salsas), the queso (melted muenster and Oaxacan), Wagyu beef tacos, and chicken verde enchiladas. We did a spread like that in order to share everything. Food so good I'd give ten stars if I could. I can't put my finger on it but there's just something so special about the food, the taste of it, and the quality. It's just incredible flavor explosion bite after bite. If I had to guess, I'd say the food has been made with love, skill, and attention to detail all these years. Hence, their amazing reputation.
