My mother and I stopped by because it's close to where we are staying on vaca and it looked like a great place. It sure was! I got the Surf and Turf Burrito and my mother got 3 different kind of tacos! Everything was SO good! The shrimp and steak were delicious...as was everything else that went into the burrito. What a great place for Mexican food! I don't know how I'm going to be able to go anywhere else and I'm a bit bummed because I don't live that close. But my family and I went here based on the Yelp reviews and we were not mislead. We ordered medium salsa and guacamole first. The salsa is actually black but it's because they chargrill the tomatoes and peppers. The flavor is SO good. Probably some of the best salsa I've ever had. The guac is fresh and so are the chips. Usually chips hurt my stomach because of whatever fry oil they use but these didn't hurt it at all. They were crunchy and fresh. My grandma also got the tortilla soup which was super good. I feel like I should've ordered it, too. It was tangy and cheesy and lots of chicken. I ordered the steak fajitas. The portion is huge. The steak is real and cooked medium rare to perfection. It was flavorful and had lots of peppers and onions. The tortillas were definitely homemade and piping hot. The rice was one of the best parts. It didn't taste like any other Mexican rice I've had before. It's hard to explain but I could've eaten just the rice! The beans weren't refried they were real, whole beans. A little salty but still good. What a great dish! My mom, grandma and aunt all got the enchiladas. The green sauce was great. My cousin got the shrimp tacos. 3 of them with huge pieces of shrimp and red cabbage and a nice creamy sauce. My little cousin got the kids burrito and she loved it. Great service here, too! So happy to find this local spot! First, we had guac with grilled jalapeños. Yikes, super hot, but oh so tasty! The chips are served warm and nice and crisp. I had a lime margarita on the rocks and my husband had his frozen. The flavor is well balanced and not sour at all AKA the sours is fresh and homemade! Vegan? No problem! The veggie burrito is literally ginormous, just be sure to ask for no cheese. The beans are just good ole beans, no chicken or beef stock. The rice is also vegan friendly! Mexican is one of my favorite types of cuisine. It is really hard to find really good Mexican food. Local restaurants are always better than chains & this one does not disappoint. A friend told me they had the best guacamole & she was right. It was so creamy & delicious. I dream about it & wish I lived closer to eat it more often. I also had the chorizo chimichanga & it was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. I'm obsessed with both chorizo & chimichangas. Nothing better. I'm salivating just thinking about it. Although their limited menu hardly changes, they do offer specials that are unique dishes not found on the menu. Los Chiludos will always be our go to Mexican restaurant. Just happened to stumble upon this gem on cinco de mayo when our regular Mexican restaurant had an insane wait time. This obviously was our first time here but will not be our last. EVERYTHING. WAS. ON. POINT. From the food to the cheap but delicious margaritas. Although we did wait maybe 20 minutes, it was definitely worth it. After reading the reviews on this place I absolutely had to try, and I was not disappointed. We got the beef enchiladas with red salsa and beef chimichanga with green salsa. Both were delicious, but the real standout was the chimichanga with the chimichurri style green salsa. I will definitely be ordering this item again. It's huge, flavorful, and filling. On the side of each of these items cane rice and beans. I thought the beans could have been a little more flavorful, but even the rice was pretty good. I got the shrimp volcano bowl that was full of big grilled shrimp, veggies, rice beans and some kind of special sauce that pulled the whole bowl together. My husband got the beef tacos and he said they were the best that he ever had. We returned last night and were disappointed. We ordered the same things since it was so good the first time. My volcano bowl barley had any sauce and there were no veggies. My husbands tacos came with 3 tacos the first time and they were covered in cheese. This time he only got two and there was no cheese. Walking in, I had very high hope's based on the reviews. Honestly, I do not understand all the 5 star reviews. This was the worst meal I have had in a long time. Looking at the menu, I was excited to try a few things. I LOVE nachos so I decided on them for the appetizer. The menu said melted cheese, I expected liquid cheese, or at least melted shredded cheese. When they arrived, they looked great! That was until I took a bite and realized the cheese was cold and unmelted. It was cheap cheese that seemed to be put on last. When the waiter returned I told him we were done with the nachos. We had ate about 5 and I expressed that the menu said the cheese would be melted. He took them away, offering no soulution. For my main dish I decided on the cheese enchiladas. They were far from what I expected. They were cold, and full of cold and unmelted, cheap, oily cheese. They were so bad I could not even eat them. I told the waiter and all he said was okay and asked if he wanted me to take the plate. I said yes I cannot eat these. He did not offer to melt the cheese, make anything else, or take them off of the check. My husband ordered a quesadilla, which he didnt really care for, but ate anyways. Everyone there treats you like family and makes conversation with you as if they've known you forever. My drink was never empty because our waitress Sophia was in the ball. After looking over the menu I decided on the Grilled Chicken fajita. This, I'm not kidding you, literally took only 7 minutes to come out. Talk about service! Everything was steaming hot. Los Chiludos is a popular restaurant located in a small strip mall with the golf course surrounding it. The place is small with both indoor and outdoor seating. When you arrive you order at the register and you are given a number to take to your table. They only ask you if you are dining inside or out. Having never seen the prices it took me a while to decide but when I returned the line had doubled in length! I decided to go with the chicken fajitas. It comes with your choice of mild or hot sauce along with soft shells, guacamole, sour cream, rice, beans, and the usual fajita veggies. If you want to order a soft drink or ice tea then you are given a plastic glass to take to their machine. No sooner than I sat down with my drink they brought my food out to me. They have a sign over the cooking station stating that their food is not microwaved and I was observing the food preparation while I was waiting my turn. Yes, The prepare it on a huge stovetop and grill it. I thought my meal was average and it was indeed filling. The beans were not your typical refried beans you would get elsewhere. Seemed a bit bland. Chips are not complimentary here, if you want them with salsa then you would have to order it as an appetizer. This place is open late but it gets very packed around the lunch hour. I would imagine it must cater to the people who work in this area since restaurants are few and far between. Also if you need to be back on the job the food comes out fast so you can be back to work in no time. So when we find it-- it's amazing! We had a carnitas quesadilla and a surf n turf burrito. Both were cooked perfectly and seasoned so delicious. One of the very first things I base my opinion on is whether their salsa is good and whether it's on the house. I was not impressed by their salsa at all. It had little to no flavor for it being the medium option. For my meal I got a frozen margarita and the fish tacos. The fish tacos were fairly good. It had a nice flavor and it was just the right portion for me. Wasn't super pleased with the margarita either because it didn't seem like it had tequila in it. If it did it had very little.
