Stopped in on our way home from SoCal. Found it on Yelp as the #2 spot to eat. It is a little hidden gem. The restaurant is inside the Quality Inn. To get to the restaurant, walk into the hotel office and head straight through. It is a small place with a dining area and a bar area. The bar has a few televisions and a jukebox. The restaurant has both booth and table seating available. We ordered seafood fajitas, cilantro pesto shrimp and scallops, and the tequila lime salmon and shrimp. All of the food came of nice and hot. The fajitas (a mix of shrimp, scallops, and octopus) were sizzling as they came out and had excellent flavor. It had the traditional veggies, as well as some mushrooms and garlic. Very nice. The pesto shrimp and scallops were "really good!" They included some fajita veggies. The pesto was not overwhelming and well balanced. My daughter loved it. The wife also loved her salmon and shrimp. Served in a light cream sauce, the tequila lime went well with the seafood. There was none to be shared! As for the service, Ashley did a great job taking care of whatever we needed. Chips, salsa, and drink refills (we only had water tonight) were ready when needed. Low key premises with welcoming service. In connection to a hotel. Acoustics are rough. Good menu and intent, but the low quality ingredients limit the cook. Examples: guacamole was well made, but the one included in a main course was from a can. Ceviche ordered with crab meat was made of imitation crab. Huge portions. Absolutely massive. Driving through picked this place because of its reviews on yelp buy something should of told me something when Del Taco was 2nd on the list. Ordered Steak Picado and it came in a gravy sauce that was thick and disgusting. Also had mushrooms in it which was a first for me. Steak was also very chewy. I had them take back my food (I never do this but it was that bad) and got chicken enchiladas and they actually weren't that bad but the green sauce was too sweet. Drinks were great. Service was terrible. I'm sitting here now in a booth writing this waiting for my check. Its now been 10mins. They don't seem to be under staffed as many waiters are walking by me. I never actually knew this place existed until a family member decided to meet for lunch. I was surprised to find it was located in a hotel. It was kinda run down and you have to go through the hotel lobby to get inside. It's also not real big so if it's busy, there might not be a table. We got a lovely booth overlooking the empty hotel pool with a broken gate around it and little kittens running in and out. Entertainment while you eat! The chips and salsa were good, greasy but really good! I went with the mini tacos and loved them. Again greasy but definitely delicious tacos. Lucky for kids they have chicken and fries on the kids menu. Bonus points with the kiddos! Service was very quick. I'm glad we discovered this little place, it's one of my new favorite Mexican restaurants now. We also got a discount for checking in on yelp. read more

On our way back to LA from Las Vegas. We were looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite and found this Mexican restaurant. Hidden gem it's inside the Quality inn. Let me tell you the food is authentic. They have a brunch buffet with delicious homemade menudo and pozole. So many food choices. Made to order eggs, omelettes and waffles. The service was great. I'm a vegan, so we did a burrito (not with beyond me lat bc I'm not a fan out it) with veggies, pinto and black beans with vegan cheese and green sauce on top. Make sure to let them know you're a vegetarian or vegan and they're happy to help. The rice and refried beans are not vegetarian. We had a wonderful experience with our terrific server Connie who was friendly, fun, and professional. The decor was warm and pleasing, and even though the place was busy (mostly locals, which was a good sign), we were seated in a comfortable booth. My husband and I had the house margaritas that were a Wednesday special. We didn't expect much but wow, they were delicious and there was no skimping on the tequila. The complimentary chips and salsa were excellent -- just the right amount of heat in the fresh salsa -- and our salads arrived quickly (included with our dinners). We both had enchiladas and were happy to be offered our choice of beans (black) and an alternative to rice. We chose veggies. Our enchiladas were tasty, and my husband was impressed by the freshness of his chili rellenos. Fast friendly service, delicious fresh food, and a very reasonable bill? Regardless, using her immaculate New York accent, she provided us with the most exceptional and personal service of our adult lives. A diamond in the rough of Barstow, she turned what began as a mediocre dinner search on a cold California night into what can only be described as a warm hug. After a long day of travel this is just what we needed. The staff was really friendly and welcoming. We were able to get a table right away. The restaurant is super clean and inviting. The chips and salsa were the perfect appetizers while we browsed the menu. We also ordered the table side guacamole that is made fresh right in front of your eyes. The guacamole was super fresh and tasted awesome. Our table also ordered the cucumber jalapeño margarita and the blended mango house margarita. Both tasted awesome! Unexpected surprise. Stopped on our way home to Havasu. Almost didn't stop because it was a hotel but glad we gave it a chance. I ordered the carne asada wet burrito. Excellent. I have been here several times and this was not my first time having a meatball soup. Each time I've enjoyed it. I also had the mango tajin margarita . It was rigged with salt and chili pepper. Yelped restaurants " close to me " on my way from Vegas on a Sunday morning and stumbled upon this gem. Customer service was top notch as soon as we walked in the door . They asked if we wanted the Buffet or dinner menu. They allowed us to check out the food buffet before we decided. Although the buffet looked yummy we chose the dinner menu. The place was busy and there were not booths available so the ladies at the front desk went over to see who was going to be done soon and told us a 10 minute wait . We stepped outside and when we came back our nice cozy booth was waiting for us! I ordered San Antonio chicken after looking at a picture on Yelp of course. it came with your choice of soup or salad. I chose the chicken tortilla soup and my friend got the Chile Reno and chicken enchiladas and asked for her soup to be packaged to go. Everything about this place was yummy even the homemade chips and salsa. Our waitress Serena "like the Tennis player" she explained was so friendly and very attentive even though she was very busy!
