It's not what I thought it was customer service is not up to par and the food doesn't taste like it used to at first they were great and I love the customer service and now you have to wait 45 minutes so you can get your food and even when you do get your food to order is not even right and I've been here so many times but now they have new owners and I just don't know about bringing my business here anymore but when it began it was definitely worth it but now I just wish they would already put in a new restaurant read more

This hole in the wall Mexican restaurant is probably the only reason I go to bowling green! The dinner specials are great and very cheap and the MARGARITAS ARE FIRE !!! You need to stop by and keep these small business running! They are very friendly, the manager/owner treats you like family and the servers are very polite (usually the blonde one, not sure the name) plz give this place a try read more

This place is, easily, the best food I've had in the entire Caroline/Hanover area but it would still shine in the crowds of NY metro area. I drive a considerable distance , driving right past my local Mexican spot, to eat here instead. I was visiting my cousin and his family, we were hungry, and he suggested this place saying they had just opened. So in we go...me, him, his wife, and their 2-year old. We were seated quickly, our server was SUPER friendly, and the salsa was surprisingly good. Service was a little slow, but I understand they're still hitting their stride. My chimichanga was delicious, just the right amount of crispy and spices. My cousin had the carnitas, which I thought was a little bland but still good. Prices are very reasonable, and I think once they get into a groove this place will be awesome. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. read more

Visited this restaurant while traveling through with family. It was located on the main strip of a small town. The restaurant was very well staffed and the facilities were very clean. The serving and hosting staff were very friendly and patient with children. The portions were generous and the the prices were reasonable. The dishes we tried carnitas, queso, tacos, and taco salad all tasted good. This place a great stop for passing through or if you live close by, check it out. read more

You may think a local Mexican joint in a sleepy town in VA is not your ideal spot. But based on quality of the food, service, speed and cost, if you find yourself driving north towards Washington, veer off I-95 and stop in to this gem. We were lucky in that 95 had a back up, so we were routed to 301, a lovely two-lane highway (worth it) that later bridges the Potomac and crosses the Bay Bridge. The options to eat were fast food right off the interstate or a few eateries in Bowling Green (and the pizza place is in a gas station). After deciding on Dos Amigos, we walked in, were quickly seated (we were not wearing masks, though all of the staff was, and seating looked to be every other table, though it was far from capacity), and promptly served chips and salsa. Any place that dishes out chips quickly is a bonus, but these were actually delicious, obviously freshly made, with an excellent crunch. The salsa and sweet cheese sauce they came with (I honestly can't confirm it was cheese, but it was slightly sweet/slightly peppery spiced) were also authentic and on point. After tearing into those and placing our order... they even gave us more! The burrito was full and everything you could want, the tacos (we ordered al pastor) came with two soft tortillas (in case one ripped) with hot sauce, onions and cilantro on the side. Meat was cooked well, the tacos delicious, plus came with rice and beans on the side; and the price couldn't hurt. Ambiance was what you'd expect from a small town, and it would have been nice to eat with real plates and utensils, but considering we were on the road and the pandemic, we didn't mind (and it helped to pack up all the food we didn't finish). read more

Yes, they have Horchata. And if you haven't tried it you should. Along with the fresh guacamole and the carnitas tacos. The carnitas were flavored just right and topped with guacamole, pico de gallo and a bit of their hot sauce were delicious and well balanced. The tortillas for the tacos were warm and soft and not falling apart. Definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in Bowling Green. read more

I have to go to Bowling Green occasionally for my job. Hearing I have to go to Bowling Green has been a disappointment because there are no decent eateries there. Happy to say Los Dos Amigos has changed that. Went for lunch and had great warm chips, cool salsa (with a kick), a good lunch chimichanga (great guacamole topping) and fantastic service. The waitress asked if I wanted dessert and I declined because I had to get back to Fredericksburg. She thoughtfully brought the check and said, "Since you're tight on time, I'll leave this here so you can pay whenever you're ready." Great lunch and experience. Whatever glitches they had when they opened have been resolved. read more

Their website clearly says they are open until 11pm every day. I walked in at 10:10pm and they refused me service claiming they decided to close at 10pm that night. Lights still on. People still in booths. Don't advertise something you can't deliver. Or, I hate to think this might be the case, make a commitment to serve all people the same. read more

I'm a little PO'd right now. Been working outside all day with no lunch. Come in hot, tired, and unwilling to cook dinner so I think to myself, "Hey - I'll go try that new Mexican place in Bowling Green. Figure I'd better check Yelp to make sure they're open on Sundays. Yep - open until 11:00. Of course, sometimes hours on Yelp are inaccurate so I go to their website. Right there is a banner that says open tonite until 11:00. That agrees with their posted hours as well. So I get cleaned up, drive up to BG and when I park, I'm thinking it looks awfully dark inside. Walk up to the door and there's a hand-scrawled note that says closed on Sundays until further notice. Well, I am NOT a happy camper! Wasted time and gas when that could have been prevented if they would simply update their website! If they want to close on Sundays, that's fine, but at least tell your potential customers on your website. Speaking of the website, it's pretty useless. There's no menu for lunch or dinner, so you're taking a chance that they'll have what you want or what it may cost if you've never been there before. They have lots of pretty pictures of food, which I assume is theirs. Looks like I won't bother to find out though. With no posted menu or prices and inaccurate open times, there's really not much point in having a website. Not a good way to start a new business. read more
