These guys are super friendly. Their carne asada smells like carne asada, not just some random steak claiming to be carne asada. The smell drew me into them. I ate from here once. I'm not convinced this is Mexican. My tacos were nothing to write home about, and the meat was tough. And the fact that all these Californians are raving about it tells me it likely isn't Mexican. By the looks of the beans in people's pictures, these are either Salvadoran folks peddling pseudo-Mexican food or they learned how to cook in some Californian slum, which is not Mexican food. This is one of the best taco trucks I've ever been to. They are very friendly & reasonably priced. You should definitely try the chicken + chorizo tacos if you visit. Tacos are only $2 a piece which is great. As soon as I left I recommended them to my sister & brother-in-law who made their way over there an hour or two later. Taco truck in the parking lot of a gas station. Had the steak tacos and chicken burrito. Steak tacos were very flavorful. Had the green mild sauce to put on them, along with squeezed lime. Good portion of meat, filling. $2.50 each. Chicken burrito was good as well. I believe that was $6. Overall a good place and will go back. Downsides are it is cash only. Its a food truck is called "Tacos y tortas." We ordered the steak tacos and a chorizo burrito. If you want a good place to grab amazing food, this is the place. The people that work there are amazing and you can see the passion in their eyes for making great fresh food. This is our first time eating here and we've gone to different high end Mexican restaurant but this place is above all. Its a food trucks next to a gas station and these are the best tacos and burritos we've had in our lives! The food was on point with the seasoning, the meat was well cooked and the tortillas are amazing! They have corn and flour tortillas. The avocados are fresh and the lady cut it in front of me and put it in our tacos, soooo good!! We'll be back again and make the 1 and a half hour trip for this food. Everything was prepared fresh on the spot. We got two meals, each with three tacos, rice and beans for 16 dollars. Great flavor and good service. They only take cash so I had to use the ATM but it's steps away in the gas station so no issue. There aren't any menus other than what's posted on the truck but the owner made it easy to order for us. We plan to head back and try everything they offer. As a native San Diego, Southern California girl..... This is not bad but not your traditional hand held carne asada burrito. A carne asada burrito DOES NOT have rice or beans in it. Rice and beans go on the side. A carne asada burrito comes with steak (carne asada), pico de gallo, and guacamole. I am a stickler about Mexican food because I grew up eating it. I'm giving them 3 stars for taste. It was good, a little dry but good. However.... I specifically said "only carne asada with pico and guacamole. Nothing else." The lady at the window replied with ok but did not have guacamole but had avocado slices instead. I agreed to the avocado slices. It's still not guacamole but it's better than nothing. When I got home, I opened up my burrito to put some salsa on it and THERE WAS RICE AND BEANS! No!!!! So after trying to scrape up as much of it as possible and putting my burrito back together, I ate it. :( The taste was good but dry. Also not common in a carne asada burrito. This is why they only get 3 stars. She messed up my order. It probably would've been better without remnants of rice and refried beans. Best burritos and tacos in the area hands down. I was born and raised in southern California, so getting a huge burrito for a few bucks stuffed with meat, beans, and rice was great. After moving to Virginia I have been unable to find that authentic California, can hold in my hand burrito until now. They have Carne Asada, Lengua, Carnitas, Al Pastor, etc. Burritos are $6 and are huge. The tacos are great and run $2.50. They also have a few other menu items, but once I saw the burritos and tacos that is what i ordered. Do not let the fact that this is a Food Truck scare you. The food is great, and for you California transplants, it is just like home. I dont know if they are open every day or just on weekends, but they are right in front of the Gulf Oil gas station. In any event, for 3 big burritos and three tacos the total was about $25, but remember these are very large burritos, and not smothered in sauce or anything. read more

My husband and I were a little skeptical at first. We don't frequent food trucks, but we were looking for some Latino style tacos in Fredericksburg. We each tried one taco as a test. He chose al pastor and I had the carne asada. They were really good so we ordered more. He stuck with al pastor, but I tried the chicken. Everything was really tasty. The al pastor is excellent, lengua is good and carne asada is ok. Best authentic mexican food that we have found in virginia within 60 miles of stafford. This is a close second to the Oakland and Los Angeles taco trucks where the food is the best because of the high mexican population. read more
