Last Sunday at 11 o'clock nine members of my family sat down to celebrate my sisters birthday .The service was a little slow , and a strong stench of raw meat made it unbearable . My brother-in-law and I ordered Pasole and we were surprised when we found out that they were out. So, we tried ordering menudo , and to our surprise again they were out. I've been to a lot of Mexican restaurants in California , but this has got to be the first Mexican restaurant that ran out of menudo and pasole at 11 o'clock on Sunday morning . Dropped in randomly during lunch when driving down Stockdale Hwy. Ordered a fajita burrito (beef) to go. The lunch meal comes with rice, beans, chips & salsa. Total check was about $7.51. Generous size burrito - this is probably the 2nd Mexican restaurant I've been to in town. The wrap size was a bit too much, so I ended up picking out the meat inside and eating some of the tortilla wrap (not all). While I was waiting, they brought out some chips & salsa :) nice of them! We came here my sisters birthday on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was not packed however the dinner started bad from the beginning. We got no drinks for the first 20 minutes the chips were choking up the whole family. Finally after ordering our drinks they got 3 out of 8 wrong. After a bout a 45 min wait for food our Parillada came and it was COLD. They got two orders wrong and to top it off no silverware or tortillas for about another 10 minutes after the food was at our table. I've came here before about 3 times but after this time I will not be back. Cold food bad service and the worst part is that the owner is the one that got our order. she had no idea over her own menu when we asked her any question. My wife and I found ourselves counting the amount of tables we've sat at while dining here. The number is way more than two so I figure the food must be good for us to keep coming back. I have tried several things here. My favorite dish is the seafood molcajete. This place had never failed me. The food is always consistent and the service is friendly. I have never had the worst service ever. We sat there for 35 min with not one time for refills. The employees were more concerned about what video they were gonna play next than attending to the needs of customers. Owner needs to invest in a customer service training for all the employees. The other people that were there were attending to in a bad manner where others cancelled their order. I ordered takeout and waited about an hour until i got my food. I spent $91 at this location so it would of been great to get my moneys worth. It was really disappointing to have spent $10 on a Mixed Tostada Cocktail that was way too small of a portion and to have found a hair deep in the dish. Molcajete was great and taste wise most of it was good but everything else was small portioned for what it was priced. This restaurant is great. We have been here before for dinner but never had a birthday party. My daughter wanted to have hers here and they did NOT disappoint. The service was awesome and food was delicious. They really go out of there way to make sure you and your guest are having the best time ever. I had been on a self imposed exile from this place for a dozen years. Exiled due to embarrassment of a drunken incident of a relative in my group. Anyhow I finally started going back and of course it did not take long to start to regret my long time without coming here. The food here is good, we love the fajitas, all types. Enchiladas are excellent as well as the shrimp dishes. But the molcajetes are just so good. We order them when it is not so hot. The chips are fresh, the salsa good. Service is on point and the music is nice too, I will just be sure to not wait another twelve years in between visits. Love the food but they decided to change their A Al Carte Enchiladas in the Plural. I always got 2 Enchiladas with every order. Husband got us food on Monday and when it got home the 3 orders of Enchiladas off the A Al Carte became a single Enchilada in each order. I mean if you look at their menu in A Al Carte it uses Enchiladas in the plural but if you look at Taco it states clearly that it's a single Taco. They poured money into the store with gate around the building and fixing the bar. Only to screw over repeat customers. I ordered beef fajita. I expected it to come out sizzling but was not. Both mine and my husband's dinner were only warm. The flavor was okay. The menu clearly says tomatoes, onions and bell peppers but they do not put tomatoes on it. The Mariachis came to our corner and we're super loud. the trumpet was right in my ear. They began playing during chips and salsa and we're still playing by time we left. Somebody enjoyed it but we weren't a big a fan. It was our first time there so first impression is that it's a party place but we got there around 7. A lady told us when we left that if you get there before 5 it's not so crazy loud I would probably try it one more time but it won't be the first place I think of to go to when I want Mexican food. Came in today since we just moved into town and it isn't what you expect. First of all they weren't that busy and we waited forever for our food. They would do check on the other table since we the lady had complained. So I think they forgot about we everyone else. The beans were really good the rice tasted old, like they just re heat it. Best place in town to go for a good time! They make you feel important and special when you come in with a reason to celebrate. I've been in for so many birthdays, random dinners, and a bachelorette party dinner with my bridesmaids. They have given us free drinks and a little gift from a party next to us who was also celebrating their last night of being single. How sweet!! Great Mexican food in town. My family and I went last night for my fathers 71st birthday and the waiter was nice and very attentive. Anthiny made sure we and the other diners with us were attended to. He was quick and efficient. We gave him a good tip since last time we went (3 years ago) we had one of the worst service we had ever encountered but since it was my fathers birthday and they have musicians playing there everyday in the evening for dinner we gave them a second shot. My husband, children and I went to this Restaurant February 23, 2020 for Dinner. I have to say, for the first time visiting this Restaurant it by far exceeded our expectations. First off the customer service was beyond excellent and Incredibly accommodating. My husband and Son had a bit of the sniffles and when we asked if they could turn off the air conditioning above our table they didn't hesitate at all. Second the bartender was awesome and very knowledgeable on the drinks he prepared. My husband didn't know the name of a particular drink and just by describing it, the bartender knew. So, I read the reviews and disregarded the concern about service. But have to agree there's an issue here. Maybe it's because we had three different people serving us. Hostess/waitress, food server, and a guy who handled the check/tip. Kinda odd. And it slowed things down. The food was fine however, good home style Mexican. Such bad experience today had not been to this place for a while . First of all waited 40 minutes for my shrimp cocktail then it tasted kind funny was looking closely at it and the tomatoes in it didn't look right so then i realized the taste was the can dice tomatoes like really who does that and I thought it had Chile serrano in it turns out is bell pepper ‍ Yes bell peppers and dice can tomatoes in a shrimp cocktail yeah don't recommend eating that if you go there and to top it off the waitress did not go not even once to see if we needed something had to go look for her to get napkins and my check worst $50 dólares ever spent. read more
