I really like this restaurant. Service is friendly and the food comes to the table quickly and hot. The menu is standard Mexican food with some nice surprises mixed in. The Chefs Special is excellent. Tables and restaurant are clean, there is a bar on one side which I haven't been in, however the margaritas are excellent and very large. I had the burrito verda. The steak was SO flavorful and tender. Most steak houses don't have the flavor that this plate had! All of the salsas are freshly made and tasted so garden fresh! This place was where my daughter wanted to eat at while in LaGrange for her orientation at West Ga Tech. The restaurant offers a buffet--no we did not eat buffet. The customers seem to favor the buffet; I am not sure what is on buffet. We ordered steak tacos and shrimp enchiladas. Food cane out warm, not hot. I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita. We weren't impressed. Probably won't be coming back. The lady that brought us our chips and salsa (not tasty) was grumpy. Our waitress was very attentive. Came in here a month or so ago and all servers had their masks under their nose as well as the manager, if they were wearing one at all. Most customers weren't wearing masks and weren't asked to wear one, even while they weren't seated. This place is nasty man. Servers touching their hair and phone, texting in full view showing their boredom. Manager and servers would both talk about issues in front of the guests instead of doing it away from customers. It's a hillbilly haven with people who probably blame immigrants for everything while they are the ones cooking their food. read more

Very good Mexican but even better servers. We stopped on our way back to Atlanta. I love when a server suggest buying a different item (from al a carte) to save me money. I make sure to add that amount on the tip! she made great food suggestions to my sons as well! My receipt says server was "Soleda #20". She was very sweet and nice and appeared to be getting complaints from the table next to us as they kept sending food back. She didn't let her frustration affect our meal! In the big city, this place probably gets a three star, but it isn't in the big city. Very good food for a small town with limited choices for Mexican food. I actually prefer the buffet that they do (at least on Sundays for lunch) to ordering off of the menu. There is a good variety (fajitas, tacos, chicken wings, rice and beans, etc) and the food has always been fresh. The chips and salsa are pretty good too. The service can be hit or miss, but always with a smile. Smiling and then not coming back for a while doesn't cut it though. Again, this doesn't happen all of the time. It is a little pricey for a small town - not bad in the big city, but again this isn't the big city. My mother-in-law likes going here and so do the rest of us. We will keep coming back. read more

So we were placed in the middle of the restaurant. We were a loud group but there were 3 other families in the restaurant and we made sure with them we were ok. Our watress and co-watress was amazing. This manager, crystal, yelled over the wall very rudely and was unprofessional. The manger yelled at us, we were told we could leave. She called the police, when we were paying customers. We did nothing wrong. I will never step foot in this restaurant again. Found myself in need of a late lunch and didn't want fast food. Wanted to relax with a glass a wine and a nice meal. They promoted their lunch buffet, but as it turned out, they stop serving lunch at 3, but stop restocking at about 2 so by 2:30 wasn't much left on it. Ordered a glass of white wine, they brought me white zinfandel. And the waiter didn't seem to understand that just because it says white in the name, doesn't mean it is is "white wine"...it's pink. To him Chardonnay is something all together different. Can't attest to the rest of the food, seemed nice enough. The food was not good and their rice is like rice you would get at a Chinese restaurant. Steak was not good. The burrito I had was supposed to be steak fajita meat but it was just steak....no onions no bell pepper no tomato. Just steak and nasty steak at that. The cheese dip was also not a lot for $6. My plate, which was one of them, was cold as if it was just sitting on the counter for 15mins. The portions weren't the biggest and the flavor just didn't have it. None of the four different plates ordered were impressive at all. If I said that the food was average at best, that would be a gift of a statement. The bowl of chips that they put on the table was literally crumbs. How do you dip chips in the salsa if the chips are all crumbs? We had to send the bowl back. I'm not sure if there has been a change in management or a change in staff, but the change wasn't a good one. Service was slow and all I was trying to get was a cold beer. I make this a regular stop during my 3 week stay in LaGrange every year and haven't been disappointed so far. The shrimp quesadilla is my favorite dish there and I highly recommend it, but if shrimp isn't your thing, they can also be made with chicken or beef. We have been frequenting this restaurant for year. Recently - something changed. Management? Ownership? I don't know, but the quality AND amount of food that you receive has gone DOWN! During a recent visit, I sent back my order due to the fact that the amount of food had decreased by over half from previous orders....not only did they not apologize, but still tried to CHARGE me for the dish! The waitress acted scared that I wanted to send it back, and the female manager that came over to take it was rude and unapologetic about the change in the dish. My family was in this place on Sunday 3/4/2018 and we will never be back. We had an issue with the gratuity and they put an 18% charge to parties of 6 or more. Here's the problem we had the buffet which was self serving. I don't mind leaving a tip but it's only for if food is brought to the table by a server and not drink refills which I didn't get, btw. The manager didn't care about hearing our concerns which is a big no-no in the food service business. Management is suppose to care wether they do or not, and TAKE CARE OF THE CUSTOMER!! They offered a gratuity refund AFTER THE FACT that I gave a negative review on another social media site as some sort of damage control. They had a chance to make things right at the time of the concern but dropped the ball, so if I were you pay attention to the check because of not, they will add 18% without you knowing. read more

This was the 3rd or 4th time my food and service have been terrible. The manager couldn't get our order right which was 2 entrees and a side of beans. We sat unattended only to be given the third degree before service. He seemed more interested in the "funny little pictures" on CO id's than getting drinks. After the food was cold and I let him know, he said we wouldn't have to pay for the sub par food, but also didn't refill my drink. I'm only home every few years, but today ended a 20+ year relationship with this restaurant and our family. As we sit finished and unattended, I must continue to update. Evidently, if you let them know they did badly, they will finish it off by not bringing you the bill and making sure you are thirsty. Evidently fear runs the minds of the management and can't handle or continue business after a negative review. I have had to relocate to the front to help. I've eaten here 3 times. The first 2 times service was just ok. Food was ok. Not hot but ok. This last time the red-hair gentleman with the man bun was extremely rude...and prickish. The restaurant was not busy and looked at me waiting to pick up my food, several times and he still didn't come over. To add insult to injury my rice was hard. People come to eat and while we don't expect a red carpet to be rolled out, we do expect customer service. It's not hard. Unhappy people make unhappy workers I guess. Every time I have visited Lagrange and stopped here the food and service has been great! I always get either a chicken & cheese quesadilla with rice or soft chicken tacos with rice and food is always fresh and quick.
