Love this place. Always stocked up with plenty of fresh meat ,vegetables, fresh fruit warm bread, and much much more. Most Cyrus and Sundays they have fire grill chicken right outside the store that they sell with rice and beans and tortilla salsa and meal. I went here to get some meat for pot roast it was very fresh and worth the price. The service was great the guy who helped me at the butchery super helpful and got the meat very fast. The market is well stocked and the meat case looks like they have quality products at a fair price. From the outside this Mexican grocery and convenience store does not look like very much but its got flavor. Atmosphere: 3 star. The place looked clean enough but it was small and has a crowded feel in the isles. Wall to wall generic and Mexican food and consumer goods items. The first thing I noticed was their Mexican sweet bread as I entered. The meat deli is extensive with the usual and exotic meats for home cooking or BBQ. Service: 5 star. The staff was friendly and polite. Felt like they made the right impression. Know there merchandise. Value: 4 star. Their taco Tuesday can not be beat. Some of the other items are a bit pricier than one might find at Costco or Sam's Club or Stater Bros. Its really more of a local grocery store and eatery one stops at for convenience and the Mexican food made to order. I could see myself ordering it when they get Door-dash. Quality: 5 star. The quality of their meats is excellent. I don't know who supplies them or how they season them but the 99 cent tacos I had (Tuesday) were outstanding. For a little family run market, this is a surprisingly good place to grab some good home style food. The man working the deli was extremely helpful and friendly, offering generous samples. He was actually the reason why we stayed, as we thought the food itself was not eye grabbing. It was the tasting that won us over. Their small deli rotates their hot entrees each day. This includes pork ribs and whole chickens prepared on premises in their back patio. The smell of bbq is the first thing that assaults your nose as you get out of your car in the parking lot. It is intoxicatingly wonderful. We did not taste this. And don't forget the menudo. We were there around 10am on a Saturday and they were already out. This has to be a testament to its goodness. This is available on the weekends, as are the homemade tortillas. The pork ribs entree in green pepper and tomatillo sauce was not so great, but their Chile Verde was meaty and especially good. The refried beans were authentic and delicious. They have a small set up with pickled carrots and several salsas. If you plan on eating there, reconsider. There are 3 tables pushed together able to accommodate 6-8 people, snugly. The store is moderately sized and clean. The Health Dept awarded them with an outstanding A rating. Come and check out their extensive carniceria. People were leaving with 10 lb bags full of marinated meat, obviously for their own Fathers Day bbq. They do not have a bakery, but they do have a multi shelved cart of fresh pan dolce and bollios. You will find it close to the cash register at the front of the store. This was a nice find. Wow! What a surprise! Use to come here years ago. Now, wow! They installed a full blown kitchen. Lots of Mexican food on the shelves, in the refrigerators and freezers or straight outta the kitchen. I suggest not to go here until things have calmed down. My wife just got back from this location and is very upset. With everything going on you can understand why parents like us and people in general are trying to keep a social distance from one another. This place doesn't seem to get that. Semi crowded with extremely rude customers. My wife asked a man to please stop moving her cart and to possibly give her space. She mentioned she is trying to hurry because she is already extremely uncomfortable due to the other sick guy coughing at the other end of the store. The man replied with an "excuse me?" - so my wife started to repeat herself and he then interrupted her and said "I heard you". I recently moved to Riverside and needed a carniceria/meat store for the bbq's. I found this place thru yelp and I can not complain. The carne ranchera is a little pricey but its very good and tasty. The chicken is good and the choriso seco is bomb! The chorsio seco is hard to find because sometimes they over dry it but they're on point with it here. It's nice and juicy, tender in the middle and not over dried on bit. They also have hot food if your in the mood for burritos, tacos, chille rellenos, ribs on the weekend, and even ceviche. The place looks organized so thats why the 2 stars.. but I bought some jumbo shrimp or so to speak, there was shrimp, before I boil them, smaller then an inch in the bunch. Not sure if they mix it in to make it weight more but they call it jumbo shrimp. I wouldn't recommend this place. Today my husband and I came in for the first time looking for "bolillo" and we were greeted by one of the employees and he explained all the meats and specials they had. I didn't expect such great customer services and positive energy. He then proceeded to introduce us to the owner who also displayed exceptional customer service. He offered to sample test anything we wanted to try. And proceeded to offer a sample of the ribs they make only on the weekends on a grill. Which are delicious btw! We then walked to the kitchen area and was greated by a young lady who was also so nice and sweet. Honestly key word for this business is "exceptional customer service" they go above and beyond to fit your shopping needs. For sure we will come here always. They did it again!! Best Ranchera Carne Asada! This little Mexican market provides great service and even though the cost of the asada is on the higher side it tastes worth every penny. Honestly the hardest part is to make the in-laws happy especially when it comes to food, but today was a great day!!!! Grilled some asada and EVERYONE was more then satisfied.
