Los Olivos Bistro was a fantastic surprise. Stopped by for a quick lunch, service was great, nice warm bread and water came out immediately. Started out the empanadas (spinach & cheese and beef) both were outstanding -- flaky crust and flavorful tasted fresh and authentic. The Caesar salad was pretty good, served on a chilled plate that kept everything crisp and refreshing. The in-house made pasta had a perfect texture and richness you only get from fresh pasta. They offer a delightful menu of empanadas, pasta, seafood, and more, catering to a variety of tastes. Went with friends who had been here before. Obviously, a neighborhood gem since it was very busy. Started with a very good Chicken empanadas, Chicken, red peppers, green peppers, scallions. For mains, my wife tried the Clasica Milanesas, either Beef or Chicken. Served with homemade French fries and a small house salad. She really enjoyed it. I opted for the Seafood Paella, Spanish rice, diced onion, red and green pepper, calamari, shrimp, clams, and Prince Edward Island Mussels with a saffron stock. Also very good. Such a nice experience. A small, family owned restaurant with a diverse menu and excellent food. The service is warm, efficient and attentive. Easy parking. Last night we took another couple and the wife who is a picky eater demolished her ravioli. She kept murmuring "this is delicious." I split the seafood paella for two. Excellent, but I think I will be more adventurous when we return (we shall). The only negative last night was that when my wife made the reservation she specified that she wanted an inside table. When we arrived the only table available was outside which we took. Outside is clearly quieter but it was a bit on the warm side. Nevertheless a pleasant evening. read more

Friendly family run place with a relaxed vibe. The food was good and the service great. We tried a beef empanada and a tortilla español as appetizers. The empanada was good, and we tried the dipping sauce but didn't think it even needed the sauce. The tortilla was good, but I prefer the thinly sliced potato rather than cubed, but that is just my preference...the tortilla was freshly made and hearty...and definitely more than enough for at least four to share! For our lunch entrees we chose Milanese sandwiches, the beef and the pork. The chef came out to check if mayo was okay with me because I had ordered it without lettuce or tomato...that's a well run family restaurant treatment for you people. Those of you that are familiar with my reviews know that my fries must be freshly hand cut, which they are. What a cute little find at the shops at the Polo club on military in Boca. it's a little bit Argentinian, Italian and Spanish. The empanadas are out of this world. The salads are fresh. and added bonus. The best freshly made sangria I have found in South Florida. Just check out the menu. I did not like the paella. It had no taste, way too much rice and very little chicken.

This restaurant been here for a few years and I never had the opportunity to go. Tonight was a night to try it and I must say I really enjoyed it. The owner or chef or whoever he was was so nice and accommodating that I couldn't have asked for any more attention to details when I asked for something somewhere he made sure that whatever we need it was done the way we asked. I had one of the best salads Waldorf I've had a long time Avocado nuts, grapes celery it was very crispy. We also had the paella which they're famous for the chicken was delicious paella as was the seafood paella we also tried there wild mushroom.Canastita delicious everybody was delighted with their food. This portions were fair as were the prices I will be coming there again. Parking is easy small restaurant indoor outdoor seating. We liked this small Argentinian restaurant. It's located just a couple doors down from the UPS store. We've been to this location before when it was another restaurant -- or two. They have some nice lunch specials as well as their full menu. They have indoor seating and a few tables outside as well. We were warmly greeted. And asked if it was our first time there. They got busy after we arrived, but still were pleasant and available. We both decided on one of their Milanese sandwiches. You could pick your choice of pounded thin and battered chicken, pork or beef. I chose the chicken with a side of fries. He chose the pork with salad as his side. Each sandwich comes with lettuce, tomato, slivers of red onion, and mayo on a toasted crispy flat bread. It was crunchy but very good. My fries were the real deal. We both enjoyed our lunch here. It's been one year since I've eaten here. We came back to try the paella. Our table ordered both the seafood and chicken versions. They were both moist and delicious. I had forgotten that soda is only available in cans and there are NO refills on ice tea. We had the flan for dessert. it was light and sweet. We enjoyed it. They still have a challenge cleaning the table between courses. Atmosphere is still casual and pleasant. read more

You know the feeling you get when you become an adult and go back to your mom's house and she makes your favorite dish that's perfect every time or you're having a tough morning and the barista at your local coffee shops gets your drink 1000% right, this is Los Olivos. The restaurant is a small store front but don't let the quaintness fool you. All food is fresh and cooked to order even the complimentary bread and butter. The food didn't take long to come out and we had Sangria Rojo while waiting. Great for family dinner, kids, dates and other events where you want love as the first ingredient. An explosion of flavors, this was a great find. I had the most delicious spinach salad with added salmon and I must say, it was one of the most amazing salads I've ever had. We also had the homemade fettuccine chicken ragu and classic beef milanesa, again exquisite flavors and just done to perfection. To start we had tomatoes canastitas paired with red sangria, super refreshing and light. Everything was wonderful, service was friendly, very simple and cozy atmosphere. read more

This quaint restaurant Los conveniently located off Military trail in Boca, at the Publix shopping center. There is plenty of parking. Although there was only (1) waiter in the restaurant, he was happy and attentive. The food came all at once, amazing since we were (12) people. My food was clearly over done- it is brown, not golden as it should have been, there fire it was tough to cut, because it was butterflied to be very thin. There were only two cooks in the kitchen, and so I did not send it back. The Paella was loaded with seafood, and tasted great. Steak were a bit under done. We enjoyed our time as a group, there was another table of 8 that came in a few minutes after us. The place is clean, and has outdoor sitting as well. Despite the pouring rain, this sweet little bistro was busy, and deservedly so. Our friendly, efficient waitress, given our preferences recommended a bottle of wine from the list and it was spot on: a rich, luscious red blend from Argentina called Pulenta Gran Corte (Mendoza, Argentina). We placed our appetizer orders: Pulpo a la Gallega, perfectly seasoned, tender octopus laced with sweet Spanish paprika. Fantastic. Fellow diners ordered empanadas for which the bistro is famous, and raved about them. For an entreé I eyed the Seafood paella but ended up ordering the grilled salmon which was moist and tender then finished up with the Flan mixto, homemade and accompanied by a dollop of fresh whipped cream and a scoop of what tasted like a dulce de leche. Went back for dinner. Definitely not the same experience. Restaurant quite empty and they couldn't accommodate our request to sit outside. Said they were booked. But there were empty tables the entire time we were there. We ordered a spinach empanada which was really good. Then we ordered 2 casaritas (?) also very nice. Ravioli ragu was excellent and tagliatelle carbonara was delicious. But the paella los olivos was really disappointing. Shrimp tasted like they had been frozen, little bits of chicken, like just scraps of leftovers, the mussels and clams were fine, nothing very tasty, but fine, and the chorizo sausage tasted like cut up hot dogs. Very bland taste overall. Super disappointing, especially for $60. They also charged for a refill of a glass of iced tea. I'd go back here for the pasta, definitely not for paella. read more

This place is a great find in the Polo Shops - off of Military Trail in Boca - Argentian food right here! We reserved a table and originally asked for outside but it was way too hot. So we moved inside. I ended up with wonderful lunch meals- my friend got the chicken milanesa sandwich with salad and I got the Los Olivos Bistro Salad- organic spring mix, hard boiled eggs, fresh shredded carrots, sweet yellow corn, tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, gorgonzola cheese, balsamic dressing and toasted almonds. Both choices were delectable. We then asked for hot brewed coffee for both of us-one negative is that they don't do refills of the cofee-so make sure you know that! Came to Boca for my son's Lacrosse game, found this gem! The sweet beef empanada is a must try, moist, sweet peppers and flavors melt perfectly well. As an Argentine, I didnt know this flavor. The four of us had so much to say to each other that we stayed from 1:30 - 5:00 pm and they allowed us to stay . The owners and waiters were so accommodating and kind.
