Stopped here for my lunch break with a coworker. He went with the tacos I was craving a wet burrito. I must say I think the price for my burrito was spot on. Nothing to special about it. It was good and filled me up. I also asked for a side of jalapeños. Small up charge for four nice sized flavored chili's. The tacos were a bit expensive I would say but they were definitely good sized. There is plenty to eat in the area I would go again after I tried everything else in the area. Delicious food. It's been on my radar for a bit as I've noticed this restaurant when I've driven by. Best chili rellano burrito I've ever had. My family had a vegetarian plate (I tasted it) it was so fresh, cooked to perfection and delicious. Beautifully seasoned. We also ordered a chicken taco plate. The chicken meat wasn't heavily seasoned but it was a generous portion and was very satisfying. The salsas are really good too. Chips and salsa are served if you eat there. I often come to this restaurant, and I bring them business by having clients with me and friends. I went to the restaurant the other day and ordered a quesadilla, I never have any problems with any of the staff up there except yesterday, the waitress seemed more interested in the soccer game, then actually attending to the needs of her customers. I received my quesadilla. Usually I get a fork with it. She never did so the person I was with went up to ask her if we could get some splat where she ignored him and after asking three times she stop looking at her soccer game gave us attitude, gave us the flatware and then continued looking at her soccer game. then, as I was wrapping up, I asked for some of their famous fried ice cream to which she flat out, refused to do it. She told me no. And I was surprised because normally order drink our my food and I usually leave sometimes I might order the fried ice cream or one of the only places that did it outside of the original taco house, which is no longer in business. we left, and when we got in the car, one of the other cooks from the taco truck outside came in and she started talking about us because she was pointing out a car, laughing not cool. I've only had one other friend of mine, which went back for a second time to the restaurant. He was in very impressed the first time and the second time he said, it felt like any time he asked for something the person serving him felt put up on and gave him an attitude didn't give him as much as he had the first time and it seems we're getting mixed reviews from this restaurant. They do very well or we get somebody that has a really nasty attitude that should not be working at a restaurant. I work in the service industry and if a person is in anyway, hostile or negative they can really impact that persons business not checking up on the customers being preoccupied or giving them an attitude when they ask for things usually drive the customers away I'm a fair person and I may give them another chance, but if I run into that kind of behavior again, I will not go back to the restaurant. read more

Hands down THE BEST taco al pastor I've EVER had in my life. And I make it a point to eat every taco al pastor I see. Without Doordash, I would have never known about how much a gem this spot is. Los Pepitos Locos has become one of my favorite go to spots for Mexican food. My favorite item from them are their burritos. Their burritos are very filling yet delicious, and tastes surprisingly fresh which is different from the common greasy burrito.. Also, the chicken caesar salad they serve is probably one of my most favorite chicken Caesar salad--just a little random note. Not to mention, their customer service is great, especially the sweet lady who operates the register! I highly recommend this spot to anyone who enjoys good mexican food at a reasonable price point thats more than enough to fill you up. read more

I like this location way better than the one in Lombard. It feels more spacious, not so crowded a little more chill and it's closer to my house. It seems they don't have the same things in their menus. The other one has more dessert and fruits but this one has a full bar and karaoke! I heard they have super cheap tacos during karaoke, I just forgot at what time it begins but I think it's on Saturdays at 9. Their food portions are big. My husband usually never takes leftovers but when we eat here he does, that's how big it is. (I'm talking about the carne asada plate) This location also has a parking lot and outdoor sitting. Amazing food! I ordered their carnita torta and it was so delicious. Well cooked. I could tell that their chips are made there because they arrived very warm. To be honest when I first saw their salsa I was doubting it because it's very liquidity but once I tried it it was so delicious as well. The reason why I'm giving them 4 out of 5 stars is because I asked for 3 red salsas or Chile salsa for the torta and only got one. Welp, this place went from my favorite place to get tacos and burritos to I dont know if I will ever eat there again. A gaming friend of mine bought me dinner and didn't know I usually order chicken from these types of restaurants cause even the smallest bit of fat makes me puke, and well wasnt small bits was huge ass chunks, like how the hell do you wrap up a burrito and not see giant chunks of fat in there and not take it out? I lived in the Bay Area for 15+ years, and I have been struggling to find good Mexican food since I moved here 2 years ago; all options i've tried have been worse than disappointing until now. I should say that I think the food in Portland overall is FAR superior to San Francisco: creativity, consistency, price, variety......I'll spare you the fluffed up blogger wannabe babble and get to the point. I had a DoorDash gift card from Christmas, I ordered a chile rellano burrito and a veggie burrito on Friday 1/9/21, both perfect. The chile rellano was the best I've had.......ever. The veggie burrito really surprised me- perfectly cooked broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms- sounds like it could be a bland soggy mediocre meatless Mexican food massacre, but it was great. I could not stop thinking about it, so ordered again on Monday 1/11and added a chicken quesadilla- again everything great. Really great. If I gain 15 pounds this month, I do not care, it is bringing me that much joy. Wednesday 1/13, ditto touché voila bellissimo- this time they forgot my coke.... to all of you that ding the restaurant and/or driver for minor mistakes: stop, it's petty and it hurts them. DD refunded my whopping $3 immediately, and I should thank them- washing your already heavy food down with a coke is a quick road to being buried in a grand piano anyways. Today, Saturday 1/16, I just ordered again. So far I have had 4 rellano burritos, 4 veggie burritos and 2 chicken quesadillas in one week. Kinda stumbled on this place by chance but I couldn't be happier that I did!! The server Luz is attentive and welcoming. She's always happy, laughing and smiling. I ordered the Loco Burrito with no rice and with pastor for the meat.....no joke it was one of the best burritos I've ever had. They have a habanero salsa, which you have to ask for, that has chunks of the pepper which is spicy but f'n delicious. I've also eaten tacos here which were the best I've had in Portland yet. They also specialize in Central American cuisine which led to my discovery of pupusas. They offer a variety of them and they're delicious. Kinda like sopes but stuffed with a variety of different veggies and/or meats. They have a full bar here which is always a plus and the prices can't be beat for the quality, flavor and service. Come check them out next time you're around but only if you want the bar to be raised in excellent service and food. read more

This is a terrific discovery. I ordered a Chile relleno, which was absolutely divine. The plate came with two of them, which is uncommon, plus rice and refried beans. I was not wild about the latter.
