We tasted the tacos, tostadas, and loaded fries (pictured) - from birria, chicken Tinga, carne asada, and fish, all delicious. The habanero (spicy marg) and sauces ( esp chipotle) were standouts. Will be back soon.

I'm already excited for an opportunity to come back soon! I was told the tacos are a must, so of course I ordered a Chicken Tinga Tostada and Vampiro with steak. I also ordered a Watermelon Aguas Frescas. For the table we did an order of Guacamole with Pork Belly (first time ever trying this!) and Birria Grilled Cheese Bites. Something cool about ordering tacos here is upon ordering two, you can grab complimentary sides that include cactus, radishes, grilled onion, and beans. There's also the cutest bottles of hot sauce on the table for your meal. The service was quick and friendly, ambiance was fun and vibrant. Would be fun to come back for a marg at the bar. Seems like a vibe for that post-work moment. I noticed a special kiddo menu and breakfast menu. Also, they have a pretty cool Birria menu filled with fun items like Birria fries, flautas, pizza, ramen, and more! The grilled cheese bites were a great app to get an intro to what a full plate could look like. Super fresh and flavorful food, parking adjacent in small lot, and left with overall awesome feels.

There's a lot of competition around him and honestly, these are the best nachos out of most spots in this area. The chips are made fresh which really adds to the dish.

First off, the box looked like it went on a diet. I could've sworn it used to be bigger, but that's not even the biggest crime. I ordered the Super Steak Nachos. Somebody please explain what was "super" about them. Beans? Missing in action. Steak? About one tablespoon if we're being generous. Pico de Gallo? Apparently on vacation. Cheese? I had to conduct a search party. Guacamole? A teaspoon showed up just long enough to say hello. Chips and sour cream? Oh, don't worry... they made sure there was enough of those to hide everything else! It honestly felt like someone looked at my order and said, "Let's see how many chips we can stack before they notice there's no food underneath." The owner has always been a really nice guy, which is why this was disappointing. Whoever is running the kitchen right now needs to tighten things up because food like this can hurt a business's reputation fast.

First off the FOOD was amazing and I come from a pretty critical BIG Mexican family when it comes to things like how the rice and beans are made. I got to know them from visiting their food truck on 18th St. in Antioch where I fell in love with the al pastor tacos. And check it out, they will be streaming World Cup soccer matches from the truck for patrons in June and July! Catering serves were amazing and the price point was excellent. Rick worked with me to help plan the menu and was able to provide a bounty of options for vegetarians as well as carne asada aficionados! All the ingredients were fresh and folks had access to all the traditional toppings and then some. The crew also brought huge containers of horchata and pineapple agua frescas, as well as cold waters for everyone. Everything was clean, clearly made fresh on the spot, and super professional. BUT what made it best was working with the El Grullense team. The crew was warm, welcoming, and engaging to everyone who walked up to the taco station. It felt like we had another host at our party - they were just dedicated to making sure that everyone was having a great time. If you are having an event - look no further for a partner in making it the greatest day ever!

My go to are the street tacos, but the ceviches, and tostadas are very good too! They've got a large selection of beers, and sodas all in glass bottles so you know it's the good stuff. The inside is very large, could certainly throw a party here! When the weather is nice outside the patio is a good spot to kick back with a beer and some food. I've been coming here for years and will continue to make this the go to spot for tacos in the area!
