The food is very good and fresh. I always get the carnitas fajitas bowl with pinto beans. Their salsas are made fresh daily and you can tell that they are homemade. There is plenty of meat and bell peppers and they offer limes and onions too. Their workers are very professional and friendly. The manager who works at all six locations is so nice and welcoming and recommended the Jarritos Pineapple drink which is so delicious. And they make sure to follow all CoVid safety guidelines extremely well. read more

I have been to Los Tacos three times now, and this last time I thought it couldn't be as bad as I remembered. Oh but it was. Two street tacos. One chicken, one shredded beef. Both meats were very dry. Guacamole did not taste freshly made. Tortillas were greasy. To top off this experience, the table was sticky. Sticky everywhere because the gloss coating was coming off. Felt very unsanitary and not pleasant to eat off. I am going to remember now not to return. Staff was friendly so 2 stars for that. read more

Here we go again! Today, instead of going in, I ordered delivery from door dash. I had the carne asada fries with al pastor and asada ... Amazing!!! A ton of meat and toppings.. super fresh and delicious all the way down to the last bite. Also, I tried something new today... the dos amores burrito that comes with carne asada, al pastor, cooked in a Diablo sauce .. omg!!! So delicious!!! No grease, but juicy until the very last bite. The complex favors are so wonderful together. I add the spicy green salsa on everything, by the way. It is to die for! So much flavor in such a small little salsa container. They're pretty much just burritos and tacos and the tacos are the highlight. Corn tortillas ate fresh made most of the day and the meat is of high enough quality. They're about $2.50, varying by 30 cents depending on what kind of meat you get. Splash on some tomatillo salsa and they're to die for. Definitely recommend trying the Cabeza if you're hardcore enough. Their burritos are as good as you expect from the Grubby's chain, but they sort of get overshadowed by this places specialty. read more

A new Los Tacos location opened this year, and was determined to try it since I was once a fan of the location on Vista Way. A couple years has passed since visiting the one on Vista Way and see that this new location's new vibe would embrace the need for a great taco! The customer service is a big deal to me, and this location on the last 2 visits show they care to impress the customer. Not all customers are the same, but the majority want a clean and positive experience with of course great food that will not disappoint. The setup is great here (formely a Daphne's), and love the new age decor! The salsa bar offers a variety of sauces to add to their tasty varieties of tacos, burritos and nachos! We always seem to splurge trying a variety of street tacos that are the perfect size to not overwhelm, and we have left here twice now very satisfied! The Chorizo Nachos are a tasty combination of refried beans, sour cream, melted cheese, hot chorizo throughout heeps of crunchy tortilla chips! The food was delivered to us hot and rather quick since not many people were present at the time. We will definitely be back to this location! read more

I came here a couple months back and had a great experience. I came in today to pick up a DoorDash order and had an issue right off the bat with Rosie, the cashier. I was asking a question about the order because something about the drinks was confusing me. I thought they ordered two fountain drinks but I guess the special was buy a fountain drink get an energy drink for reduced price. After some hassle with the explaining how the order was processed, Rose just pushed two to go cups my way and said, " here you can just take two drinks you don't have to make it such a big deal." They threw six soft shells with meat and lettuce and salsa and some cheese in a Styrofoam to go box layered on top of each other. I ordered six chicken and six pork and I could not tell the difference between chicken or pork. When I opened the to go boxes it was just a pile of mixed up food that looked awful and really didn't have much flavor. They didn't offer me any salsa which I had to ask for. Came to dinner last night and was so disappointed with the quality of the food. My husband ordered the ceviche and it had shrimp so just add lime and hot sauce and you can't really go wrong with it. I ordered the surf and turf burrito. There were like 4 shrimp in the whole burrito and the steak was so full of fat I was so disgusted. Now I am pregnant so food is very important in my life right now lol, so coming here and not enjoying my food totally sucked. Not sure if they have new management but I've had Señor Grubby's before and their food is delicious. Also, it's pricey so for the price we paid sorely disappointed I only ate like 1/3 of the burrito. This location serves great food (a bit pricey), is clean, and has friendly staff, but they've either taken my order incorrectly (and charged before I could say anything) or served the incorrect food 3 of the 4 times I've visited. I had an excellent experience here. The food was great and the people working were wonderful. I've always enjoyed their other Los Tacos locations as well as Señor Grubby's and I am very excited that this location is even closer to my house. I do my best to try something new each time I visit. I've yet to be disappointed. I've worked in the soda/restaurant industry in the past and can say that the odd taste in the soda was most likely due to the fact that brand new equipment was installed and this affects the flavor in the first few uses. It's nothing unsanitary or abnormal. Typically running soda through the lines for a few minutes would resolve this issue. I am looking forward to my next visit. I highly recommend Los Tacos. I called a day prior to get a taco platter for 20 people for a birthday celebration. I spoke to a young guy and as inexperienced in taking orders as he sounded, he wrote and recommended salsas, TOOK MY PHONE NUMBER DOWN, and confirmed the time "no problem". Well I guess he failed to properly take my phone number down, so we never got a call to ask OTHER important questions such as what kind of tacos we wanted (I thought it would be a mix since he never asked). When my husband arrived to pick up food for 20 hungry guests my husband was informed that they hadn't started the order and NOTHING WAS DONE because we didn't leave our correct number or we didn't tell them what kind of tacos we wanted, isn't that your job to ask and confirm? NO APOLOGY WAS MADE, and the only solution was "uh...we can still do it but....." Luckily my husband went and not me because it would have been a different scene. Long story longer, OCEANSIDE is a town of many taco so no worries, plenty of other places to get tacos from. My advice: if someone calls for a catering order, have a pre made sheet of IMPORTANT QUESTIONS TO KNOW that your inexperienced employees can go off of otherwise you'll continue to lose business read more

Surprised to come to yelp and find that this place does not have 5 stars! I just ordered some carne Asada nachos through door dash and they were seriously the best damn nachos I have ever had! The meat was so tender and perfectly cooked. The chips were crunchy and had the perfect amount of salt on them. I know nachos aren't really that big of a deal but I can't wait to try something else! The size of the tacos were the size of a quarter. Very small tacos and no meat or fish on them, mostly condiments on the tacos. The fish taco was literally as thin as a piece of paper and the size of my finger. The rice was barely a tablespoon as well as the side of rice. Order took too long to get. Waited 20 minutes for what. Tacos are bland! These positive reviews must be owners pals. No way will I will go back there. You get a better deal and better food at other Mexican joints.
