I normally do not take the time to write reviews but this time I'm stopping what I am doing because this restaurant is everything! It's a perfect combination of quaint, meets traditional Mexican cuisine with amazing margaritas, incredible professionalism and friendliness! This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend and it did not disappoint. We even had a trio band come to our table and sing to us! The food is fresh, authentic and delicious! Just go you won't regret it!

Ambience: we were the only ones there at 8:30pm on a Sunday evening. We had tried to go on Thrs at 9:30pm and they looked like they were shut down for good. I am glad they are still open. Service was great, food used to be top notch. They charge extra for salsa and chips. The chips were cold and greasy, the "salsa" was a pico de gallo (mostly tomatoes) no heat. My meal was a little cold. I thought being the only customer onsite would mean it was hot fresh off the stove but it was not. The chile relleno was great but the side of beans and rice were tepid. I am a little disappointed but happy they're still open.

Maria Jimenez is always at the top of our list of favorite restaurants in Cabo. Authentic Mexican and family run, this is a place you won't want to miss. Important note-this is CASH ONLY so come prepared. For food, the tortilla soup is fantastic but fair warning, it is LARGE. The enchilada verdes are fantastic- well-sauced and absolutely delicious. Similar, the enchiladas divorciadas are great, four pieces with two in green sauce and two in red. The catch of the day was sea bass was absolutely fantastic- highly recommend the green cilantro sauce or the creamy chipotle sauce. Margaritas are fantastic as well - you can't forget about those! Can't wait to come back.

Authentic Mexican food, clean and quite ambiance, with great service at a very reasonable price! They started off with a cute little tortilla with black beans and Mexican cheese. We ordered a sampler to split, and it was a good thing because it was huge and the flavors were awesome! The chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream was amazing! Even though it was cash only, the price was half what we paid at other restaurants.

    Chicken flautas, beans, and rice

My husband and I are visiting Cabo and tonight is our last night here. All week we've searched for authentic Mexican food and tonight we finally found it! I had the chicken flautas with beans and rice and a mango margarita. Everything was so fresh and delicious. My husband had the flank steak, chili rellano, enchilada combo. Our meals were BY FAR the best we've had all week. This is a family run business and the recipes have been perfected and passed down many generations. The flavor profile in every bite showed exactly that. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. We will certainly be back!

The food The food was absolutely delicious. Great seasoning on everything. The service was immaculate in the ambience was absolutely fantastic.

This place is a hidden gem, off the beaten path. The family that owns and runs it is so sweet. The three kids are carrying on their parents' dream, and the restaurant is named after their mother. Ask one of them to tell you the story- it's a special one!! Now for the food- seriously the best food we've had in San Lucas. The tortilla soup may be the best soup I've had in my life. Our group ordered the fajitas, enchiladas, soup, and more- and all that anybody could talk about on our way home was how good it was. Eat here! Trust me.

If you're looking for Mexican home cooking, look no further! Try Maria Jimenez! It's a cozy restaurant with candlelit tables, which made it romantic, yet it was also comfortable. Many families dine here, so it was lively. And they have a band playing music too. The waiters were welcoming and attentive and made sure we were doing well. BF had a mango margarita that was cool and refreshing. We started off with salsa and chips and a field salad. Then we shared a combination #1 which was a tender flank steak, chile relleno and chicken enchiladas. Everything was tasty and we were quite satisfied at the end of our meal.

    Combination 4 pozole (weekends only).

Cash only! Cute small vibe restaurant feel. I got the combination 4 and it is a very generous portion that can easily be 2 or 3 meals. The chicken was tender and flavorful, the steak was cooked well and the chorizo was delicious. I really enjoyed all aspects of the dish together since it was very cohesive. Their pozole is highly recommended and comes with generous portion of sides to tailor it to your needs. The Jamaica paired nicely with the meal and overall it is much better than those tourist traps.

Their recommendation to order the appetizer sampler was spot on--the fundido, quesadilla, empanadas, and sopes were all fantastic and perfect for sharing. The carnitas were unbelievably tender and full of flavor, while the sea bass had everyone at the table raving. And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, dessert stole the show! The flan was silky smooth, the churros were warm and crispy, and the tres leches tequila cake was an absolute must-try. To top it all off, the cocktails were creative, beautifully presented, and just as delicious as the food. Los Tres Gallos delivered an incredible dining experience with amazing food, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that truly captures the spirit of Cabo. We can't wait to come back!

But that was the end of the positive things as a swarm of flies quickly came to eat the food. Trying to swat them away helped a bit but there was way too many of them. I eventually flagged a waiter down, and he shrugged at the flies. A minute later some candle flame thing came out saying that it will help with the flies but already that was too late as flies were all over the food and I lost my appetite at that point. It was disgusting. I just got up and left. Went to cashier to pay my bill. The cashier also shrugged at my fly incident, and I asked how much it was going to be. Full price. No consideration about bad operating environment and since they knew about the fly issue they didnt setup before food was served to control it better. Even after bringing it up again in detail, she shrugged again. No sorry or anything, just a brush off. Then to make it even worse she asked if I wanted to tip the service. I was in there for a few minutes, staff didnt help quickly or even pre-empt the fly issue, and I'm being asked to pay full price. Sorry but no thanks. How did this place get on the Michelin list? Service poor. Environment poor. Zero or negative star rating for me.

Service was impeccable our servers Ohnel and Arturo did not miss a beat. This is definitely a cannot miss destination and will be my definite stop every time I return to Cabo I felt the prices were very fair especially for such a high end restaurant and the food was exceptionally fresh. It was just me and my husband, but there were quite a few larger groups dining while we were here. The service is wonderful. We had two main waiters, both of whom were kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The cocktails and the wine we ordered were wonderful. I really loved the cocktail we ordered! Our dining experience was nice, but the food we ordered was just okay. I wouldn't call it some of the best of Cabo. Of our six dinners in Cabo, I would say it was probably our second to least favorite. But, that's not saying it was bad! It just wasn't on par with the other restaurants we dined at. First, I told the restaurant both when I made the reservation and when two different people at the restaurant inquired about food restrictions that I could not have cheese. The first thing served to us - an amuse bouche - was heavy on the cheese. It was a rather large ravioli, which was much larger than a normal amuse bouche -- and it had cheese inside the ravioli, a cheesy sauce, and cheese grated on top. So I could not eat a bite of it. My husband said it was just okay. The best thing we ordered here was the aguachile. It was beautiful, colorful, artfully presented, and absolutely delicious. So fresh, and well prepared. Loved it! Our main courses, however, were a little disappointing. They tasted fine, but ate more like the kind of main course you would order at a chain Italian restaurant in the US: heavy, chewy, and generic. But my personal saddest moment was when the churros arrived. I love churros, so very much. These looked beautiful, but when my husband and I cut into ours, they were all raw on the inside. So the flavor outside was delicious but we couldn't eat more than the ends of the churros. Overall, I enjoyed the experience of dining at Casa Martin... I just wish the food was better. I am hoping it was just an off night, and I look forward to revisiting this restaurant on a future visit to Cabo and hopefully having a better meal (but the aguachile was seriously so good - order that!).
