This is a straight-up dive bar. While it seems generic and cheery from the strip mall facade.. the 70s upholstered western swinging doors when you first walk in are a huge tip off. They match the bar.. and the stools.. and the booths.. laugh. It's the kind of place that has regulars.. nutty regulars that make for great people watching. Drinks are no frills and decent. Pool table in back, almost felt like a roadhouse. It's a great place to just hang out in jeans with friends and chat. If you are into 'mixologists' and dress codes, this is definitely not the place for you. It's not a filthy hole, but a true dive. My only gripe is that they don't take credit cards, but whatever. Very friendly neighborhood dive bar. Regulars will try to strike up conversation with you and the bartenders are funny and make strong drinks. ok ok , usually not my scene. I'm more into the dancing, and the "look at me "crowds, so this place was a change of pace. It's more of the "I used to be a roadie for AC/DC" type of crowd. There are very few people under the age of 55, but hey, I guess they need to drink too. The dart machine makes no sense, the pool table gets hogged by wannabe Triad pool sharks, and the bartender is cool until he finds something about you that he doesn't like, like maybe being 26 years old. All this aside, the place is pretty chill, go there w/ a few friends for a nice pregame sesh, or take a large crowd for an event and take over. Drinks are piss cheap and there is no top shelf. I have a lot of mixed feelings about this place. It really is at its best in cold weather when you can sit in the back, smoke, and drink while you talk away from the impossibly loud music of the bar room. You can even listen to someone do heroin in the bathroom if you listen close, since there is no sound barrier between the restrooms and the hallways. We went to Lost and Found last night because we were in the area visiting a friend. We don't usually venture out to the westside, so I did some research on Yelp and found this gem. Dive bars aren't for everyone, but I personally LOVE them! Cheap drinks, laid back and relaxed atmosphere, and good friends...What more does one need? Upon entering this bar, I felt right at home! One of my all time favorite bars in LA is The Drawing Room (by Los Feliz).... This place is JUST like it, but a little bit bigger! It's cash only, but don't worry because they have an ATM in the corner by the jukebox. They have a popcorn machine and a pool table too! The bartender was really friendly, and made our drinks stiff and quick! AND the price??? $4 for a Jack and Coke?!!! I'm in love with this place! It's located in a strip mall (which isn't what I was expecting), so parking is really easy! It's officially my new favorite bar on the westside!!!!! read more

A friend of mine who was in town and staying on the west side found this place on here and we decided to give it a shot. This place has great drink prices and spectacular ambiance. Although the strip mall outside has clearly been remodeled the inside of Lost and Found hasn't changed in years. Possibly since before I was born. It isn't loud and people mostly keep to themselves so it's a great place to go with some friends if you want to chat. read more

A place I have seen for years as a previous Blockbuster customer. This is a great novelty destination. My friends and I have been here a couple times now since another buddy told me its the only place he goes. Thats a little extreme, but once in a while L&F will provide a night of fun. Drinks are very cheap (3.5-4 for well drinks), no tap, cash only. The popcorn may be a lil stale, but its free. The other patrons will be very diverse and colorful. I am sure this is a lovely neighborhood spot, it looks very chill. But the amount of people in there was already at "way too many" the time I tried to go here. Within 10 minutes I had been elbowed in the head, shoved too many times to count with nary an "excuse me", and the final straw was a man using my breast to gain traction to pull himself closer to the bar, which I had not even reached yet. He acted all indignant, like using my body as a pull bar was no big deal, and that I was totally overreacting because as he so generously stated, "you're not THAT pretty" so obviously he wasnt trying to sexually assault me. The Lost & Found ain't a dive bar. I'm nearly 65 and have seen many dive bars. This is a nice bar, and definitely a non-pretentious bar, so if you're more comfortable in some posing joint where you pay high prices for cocktails so that others can see you there, then move right along. The clientele at the L & F have been friendly every time I've been there. The bartenders have always been exceedingly nice ... and very attentive to the customers. As others have noted, the drinks are cheap. I doubt you'll find cheaper drinks at ANY other bars or restaurants in the surrounding area (West L.A., Venice, Santa Monica, Marina del Rey, Culver City. etc.) . The drinks aren't only cheap, they're decent drinks, and they pour decent booze. It's not a large place, and I've always a good time there. It's a nice place to bring friends.
