Beef Pho
Randy P.

Excellent Pho option in downtown Naperville, we ordered beef pho, curry chicken bowl and soy gazed wings. The broth in the pho was very flavorful and there was a good amount of beef. We also loved the curry bowl, the curry had a delicious Malaysian curry taste to it. Service was fantastic, the girl at the front counter was very helpful in giving us details on various dishes. They also had pre packaged sauces on the side table (soy, hoisin, siracha, etc). Thank you

This Vietnamese restaurant in downtown Naperville offers a familiar selection of Viet cuisine. The cozy interior is modern with wood tones, and service is fast casual. You can order through a kiosk or with an actual human being. If you're wondering how the pho is, it hits the spot in terms of broth flavor, but it doesn't have all the accoutrements a more authentic place does. I was really looking forward to some tendon, cartilage and more in my broth, but there was just beef tenderloin. You'll want to try the soy glazed chicken. It comes out hot and we'll sauced. Flavors are rich throughout. Lotus Banh Mi is par for the course, but it hits a good number of the marks for your Vietnamese cravings.

I've been to Basu in Northbrook and I guess this restaurant, Lotus Banh Mi, is a part of the same group. This is a small Vietnamese eatery with about 10 tables. You order at the kiosk, it's pretty straightforward. I ordered a garden spring roll (large) and a veggiecado Banh mi. The spring roll was large and fresh and jam packed. The veggiecado was delicious, with nice crispy baguette and lots of filling. Service was fast, and friendly. Oops, I spilled a glass of water all over the floor and they mopped it up quickly. Portion was generous and I took the rest to go.

We had the beef pho and the shrimp spring rolls. I loved the broth, it was herby and clean. The beef cooked perfectly and they had a self serve station for the sauces. The spring rolls were tightly rolled so they didn't come apart while we were eating. I also recommend the JOE peach tea! We would love to see meatball pho added to the menu but the beef was fantastic! The service was very fast! The ambiance was relaxing, simple and artsy.

I've tried out this chain in Chicago and was super excited to see them open a location in downtown Naperville! The bahn mis are the best by far. I really love the veggiecado and chicken varieties. They have plenty of sauces to top off the sandwiches with and stuff them generously

Pork Belly Banh Mi and Shrimp Shrimp Springrolls

Walked around downtown Naperville and decided to try this new Vietnamese restaurant. It did not disappoint. The decor is very laid back, small tables or 2 or 4. You order on a kiosk. Food came out quick and was delicious. Tried the Pork Belly Banh Mi and Shrimp Roll. Both were excellent. Will definitely come back next time. Edit to add: couldn't finish sandwich because it was so huge! Will save for dinner.

Cozy restaurant but the menu was limited and the pho had flavorless broth. There was no service after ordering our food.

I eagerly waited for this shop to open and it was totally worth it! Delicious sandwiches,…read moredefinitely a step up from the usual places. I loved the Pacino, with prosciutto, mozzarella and truffle cream; my husband enjoyed the meaty Coppola. Another friend told me she likes to get the Tarantino. So it seems like you can't go wrong! So if you're in downtown Naperville and considering going somewhere else for a sandwich? Fugghedaboutit! Definitely try Pronto as quickly as you can.

So I'm not sure how busy it can get in there or what it's like yet. There were a few different sandwiches that I was interested in trying but I ordered the regular Pacino. Immediately when I got my order, I could small the deliciousness and truffle right as I was opening it up! I also knew that I wouldn't be able to finish the sandwich in one sitting, but it didn't matter. Haha I took the first bite and all the flavors just hit! I loved everything about it. The mozzarella, truffle pecorino cream, and arugula all went so well together and it was creamy; and then to add the prosciutto for the saltiness. SO GOOD! The bread was more on the crunchy side....still kinda soft but more crunchy. My personal preference is for it to be a little more soft...so it doesn't cut the top of my mouth lol. Will definitely be getting sandwiches from here again! Hopefully, I'll get a chance to go to the actual storefront. But now I know I have a go to spot if I really want a good sandwich!

3.5 stars, but rounded up because I didn't feel they deserved any deduction…read more I was REALLY looking forward to their #20 Old New Yorker, which I got in their Navel Cut pastrami. It was a solid 7, which is why I place it at 3.5 stars. I may be being picky here but it just wasn't to the level of "melt-in-your-mouth" pastrami standards for me. Not to say it wasn't good, because it was perfectly fine. In fact, it's better than most of the pastrami sandwiches I tried in Chicagoland. Maybe it's the fact that I had to bring it back to the office to eat it, and half hour had gone by and pastrami weren't as warm and the Jewish rye had become soggy by the time I took the first bite. I mean, it goes without saying that the sandwich would have been 3 times better had I sat down immediately and had it. Again, all things considered, it was a perfectly good sandwich. One interesting thing was that I had never been to an establishment that included a half sour pickle instead of a normal one and gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised. Pickles can be a hit or a miss for me. I like my pickles to be crunch, but some places offer overripened ones that become borderline mushy. Schmaltz's half sour pickle was not overly salty or sour, making it very attractive for me. The more I'm thinking about it, I'm convinced that I'll have to go back and try their #14 Sloppy Paul, which is the corned beef with sauerkraut, which is another favorite of mine. And this time, I'll be sure to dine in and give another review of it to see how much I like them better.

Lots of fun deli sandwiches to choose from. I chose a French Dip; hubby had a pick two-- a cup of matzo ball soup, and 1/2 corned beef sandwich. Both served with a whole new pickle. Mine was absolutely delicious. Tons of beef, melty swiss, and grilled onion. Served nice and hot with a tasty au jus. Hubby thoroughly enjoyed his as well. Great Jewish deli. Highly recommend whether you're Jewish or not! ;)

Washrooms are clean, place is nicely maintained. They do breakfast and lunch here. Plenty of sandwiches , salads to go along with coffee. They use Intelligentsia coffee here. If I am meeting friends, I'm suggesting Blackberry market 10/10 times. But if I need to get food I find myself struggling to justify ordering here. Honest Gluten free review: they do offer gluten free options which is great, but to get a basic breakfast sandwich it's at least $13.50 without any additions or sides, and to get a gluten free bun you must order a full sandwich. So once I customize with cheeses or aioli (because gf bread always needs a little something something) the sandwich and fruit salad side was $16 + the coffee it's close to $24 and that's just more than I'm willing to spend for a tiny breakfast sandwich. Gluten free folks know the struggle but it doesn't make it any less frustrating. They do offer oatmeal that is gluten free and delicious but I wish they had more cohesive gluten free options and comparable prices. Now with all that said, do I come here at least once a week for a seasonal latte and a pint of the most delicious chicken salad? Yes, yes I do.
