Their pad thai and basil fried rice are my go to favorites and one day I will venture out to other entrees here but if it ain't broke why fix it?! I got a spice level 4 which was not too hot but not too low. Nice flavor with nice spice level. I 10/10 reccomend the food here. Amazing food! The fresh summer rolls are a must and any noodle/pho option is solid. My favorite has to be the mango sticky rice!

We ordered the mango wings. They were nice and crispy with a delicious sweet sauce, only problem there were only 5 on a bed of spring salad. My mango paradise was very tasty. I didn't think it was spicy but another that tried it said it had a mild bite. The only thing I didn't care for was the Tom yum soup, it was bland to me with rubbery chicken and lots of button mushrooms. read more

My family and I bought a Groupon to this restaurant during a road trip from Toronto to Ohio, and boy are we glad we did! Julien (our server) was an absolute peach and treated us incredibly well, despite being Groupon users. We got the Chicken Pad Thai ($10 USD) Pork Mango Curry ($11 USD), and Mango Delight ($14 USD) along with some Tom Yum Goong ($4 USD) and Coconut Seafood Soup ($6 USD). There was absolutely no fault in any of the food we got. Each was so flavorful, so hearty, and so full of soul that our plates were almost licked clean. A total 5 star experience!!! Ever since I went to Thailand I've been addicted to Thai yellow curry dishes. I went to Lotus Thai House for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by their $10 lunch special. Only issue was that they offer curry but not yellow for the lunch special. The waiter told me it was no problem and that they would make me yellow curry as part of the lunch special. I started with the Chicken Tom Yum soup which was very good. Great flavor and lots of mushrooms and chicken. My chicken yellow curry was just the right amount of heat with tons of flavor. I really liked the pineapple pieces they put in there. They gave me just enough white rice to finish my entree and feel satisfied but not overly stuffed. For dessert they give you vanilla ice cream which while not the best ice cream you've ever had it was still tasty (I mean it's ice cream). For $10 you can't beat it. I look forward to trying more dishes off the main menu. read more

When I visit Lotus Thai for lunch I'm always amazed that it's not packed. They have such an excellent lunch special. I think the one hiccup is that the service is pretty slow. So if you just take some patience & enjoy the company, then it will be a completely delightful experience. I've had the pad Thai, masamam curry, pineapple stir fry, cabbage salad, chicken Tom yum and perhaps a couple other items. I have never been disappointed and continue to try to introduce new people to it. I've noticed on Google maps that it will claim the restaurant is closed, but it's not. Hopefully they'll figure that piece out. I would be so sad if they close! read more

Food is considered good as in westernized Thai food but service is terrible. I came in weekday afternoon and only 2 people in one table. The attitude of tall waiter is very unpleasant since I enter the restaurant. He kept talking with other boy and neglecting the guest. I asked a couple of minute to order when he came with water. But when I'm ready, both waiters are inside the kitchen and can't get their attention at all Then, a new customer came in and I tried to get his attention but neglected again. Got this place for delivery because the husband and I were having a lazy Sunday and we were both craving chicken pad Thai. The meals came hot and were quite delicious but it was kind of disappointing with the amount of protein provided in the dish for $10 each. The flavors were great and even though I ordered spicy, we didn't really find it to be spicy. I had 4 little bite size pieces of chicken in my dish and my husband had probably 6-7 bite size pieces of chicken. I was expected either bigger pieces of chicken or more of them for the cost of $10 per dish. Other than that, a little pricey but delicious food. I came to Lotus Thai House back when they were on Lee Rd in Cleveland Heights. We got the first bad snow storm of the year today and my friend and I trekked from the office wasteland of Rockside Rd. This is one of the best lunch specials in town. You can get a soup or salad, curry, pad thai or basil fried rice plus a dessert for $10. I don't have a sweet tooth so I opted for a soup and sald plus the entree instead. What a steal! They also offer this deal carryout until 5 or 6 PM. I only could finish half the curry dish so now I had lunch and dinner for the low. The owner was a warm and gracious host. I prefer this place to Charm Thai or whatever the one in the Rockside Commons plaza is. If you work in Independence or the surrounding area this lunch option is top notch. A little spot tucked away in a Parma strip mall, if you blink you will miss it. I love Thai food so when I saw a Groupon for this Lotus Thai House I thought it was worth a shot. I ordered the Basil fried rice and the mango sticky wings. Both were so very good! The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. I ordered delivery from here because Thai sounded good, the delivery fee is reasonable, and the minimum is low enough to accommodate one person. I was largely underwhelmed by the food. I ordered the mango curry with tofu for my main meal. It was incredibly mild, probably the least spicy curry I have ever had. So if you are lookin g for spice, this is probably the wrong place. I usually order my curry medium (a 2 or 3 on a 5 point scale) and this registered at a 0 in terms of spiciness. The veggies and tofu we par for the course. Make sure you order a side of rice if you like rice with your curry because it does not come standard. I did enjoy the sticky rice with mango for dessert. It is a bed of coconut milk sticky rice with half of a fresh mango on top. It is incredibly simple and was a nice way to end my meal. This plus the prices are what brought my rating from a 2 star to a 3 star. read more

I found this place on a whim. I saw it on Groupon and it's around the corner from my job so I bought the Groupon for $20. My girlfriend and I went there after work and the food was amazing. It was so good three co-workers and I went the following day. My co-workers were also impressed and since then we've been there three times including today. The Thai tea, awesome. We tried to go to bonchon first but people were lining up and there was no server in sight---it was open but nobody would come out to seat us? We decided to leave and came here. Dishes came out fast and met our standards because it is probably hard to go wrong with the basil fried rice.
