I ordered the green papaya salad and it was the worst salad I've ever had in my life. I wish I would've taken a picture! There was so much dressing. It was like soup. I ordered shrimp with it and for $10. I got two shrimp. I spent $24 on a salad that was almost in an edible. I will never eat there again. read more

I wanted to try something new so I went to Lotus Thai on Churn Creek. The restaurant was nice and clean and Joey was serving us tonight. I don't know much about Thai food but I did order a beef dish with broccoli and rice. I can't remember the name because I had two Chang beers which were very good. I just looked it up and the dish I ordered was called Pra Ram Gai...the beef version. The food was excellent and I highly recommend this restaurant. Joey, the waiter, gave us good service and made good recommendations. I'm fairly sure we'll be coming back. read more

Outrageously expensive, more than Bay Area prices. For the cost, I cannot recommend this place. My husband didn't care for his dish at all. I had the Tod Salmon and it was okay. We were asked if we wanted rice with our dishes, and we each said yes not realizing that the small cup of rice was $10 extra, each. Without the rice, my plate would have been very small amount of food. I believe my dish was nearly $30 (then rice was $10 more). For the two of us, our bill was about $85. We did not have desert, nor any expensive drinks. We ate early in the day (so, not dinner pricing). read more

The food is aight The price point versus portion is outta control. I've been to Rose Garden and Racha noodle. Both way tastier both $20-$30 less both twice as much food. The ice tea was small and cost seven dollars. Way too much for the small amount of tea versus the entire glass of ice. During lunch, you need a lunch menu and you need to make sure the server offers the lunch menu. It is not something that a customer should have to ask for unless it is not lunchtime anymore. Yum. We have tried Thai in LA area and love the places we go to. I haven't tried Thai since we got to Redding, but this place just opened near my nail salon. The Thai iced tea is great. So my husband met me there for lunch. He had the chicken salad - great and fresh. I had the tofu curry to compare it with the LA places. It was great and the taste is right on. I will definitely go back to Lotus Thai. The waitress was nice and polite. read more

This is my second time ordering from this place. The first time was amazing and the fried rice was great. It was cooked like Kobe's fried rice. This time around I ordered the same exact thing like last time and paid extra $16 for shrimp for double. I'm disappointed because everything tastes like too much sodium in the food overall. Food and service were both good. The problem was the menu price was not what was charged. On check out they charged a higher price than the menu listed, explaining it was the credit card price. Then they also charged 3% credit card service charge. This was misleading and deceptive. When brought up to management they defended their bait and switch. read more

I almost underestimated this place because of their location... I'm glad we decided to try it out. First, the boba is blended! My daughter really like it. The food portions are generous and the lady that helped us was very patient and helpful in ordering something that we would enjoy. The beef soup was so flavorful! Very disappointed! Expensive for little food. Food is bland. Owner expects u to season it yourself. Ordered some shrimp rolls... came with 3 at the price of $12-$14. Khao soi picture in yelp is her own special which i ordered and it came out looking nothing like the picture. She gave 2 pinky finger size of beef meat along with 1 meatball cut into 4 pieces and called it her special. Cost me $24 dollars for that special dish. The soup tasted as bland as water. The stuffed chicken wings needed the sauce in order for it to taste like something. Stuffed chicken wings have no seasoning. They relied on the sauce to make it taste better. When i told the owner the khao soy looked nothing like the picture and had only 2 pieces of meat and a few pieces of meatballs she said it was her special and that she was missing the fish ball and came back and gave me a few pieces of fishballs. We were very disappointed in the serves and the food. I got the wrong food, and the other three ladies food had no flavor even after they put seasoning on the food. We had to ask for water 2 or 3 times and never received any. Another seat of customers came, paid, and left after they seasoned their food. 1 lady left because of serves and our comments. Disappointed. Ordered a lunch curry that the menu stated had zucchini, carrots and onions, a meat choice and was served with rice. Small portion, mostly broth, no zucchini or onions and just a half cup of rice. I reminded her of the issue of missing vegetables and instead of giving me a credit or something when it was time to pay, I was told I was being charged the dinner price because my serving was larger? I reminded her that there were no vegetables and it was mostly just broth. The flavor was there but the prices are really high for a small portion and that's what I was struggling with and the meat was so dry and hard to chew. One of the items I ordered was wrong but it was too late to go back since I drove 15 mins back home. I was also extremely shocked that the angel wings were 18 dollars and we only received 5 wings. It's pricey for what you get. I ordered the chicken pad Thai, and there was hardly any chicken in it--felt like I paid $18 just for a bowl of noodles. At that price, they should be more generous with the portion size and include more protein. That said, the flavor was good. read more
