Wow I have lived in Illinois for 57 years I have never had Lou's be this bad Order 2 medium deep dish pizza's both pizza's looked like thin crust with a deep dish end on it So so disappointed didn't even finish 1 piece Didn't even taste good barely any cheese Just terrible

Large pepperoni pizza ($18.50) is a delicious -- and lighter -- alternative to the heavy deep dish 'za. Ask for buttercrust!

TAKE (ME) HOME TONIGHT A delicious pepperoni pizza awaits you, but as this Lou Malnati's is carryout/delivery only, you'll have to enjoy it back at your crib. My preferred destination for thin crust (or deep dish, if I'm not doing anything important the next day), I'm very happy we've got a Lou's near us. This one is on Weber Rd just north of Lily Cache Ln, in a small strip mall next to a Starbucks and a nail salon. The storefront is tiny; inside is nothing more than a pickup counter. Employees are friendly. Whether it's a large thin crust 'roni ($18.50) or a medium Chicago classic deep dish ($21), we'll almost always get a Malnati salad ($10) to go with it. The cheesy bread ($7.50) is great, too, but I only get them because my wife is a fan. I find breadsticks wholly unnecessary if we're getting pizza, since I wind up eating the crusts my spouse so dismissively tosses away ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ * TL;DR * The Lou's in Oak Park has a full dining room + bar, and that gives them a clear edge in comparison to this location. Obviously, I'd much rather have a carryout-only Lou's as opposed to no Lou's at all. Beggars can't be choosers, eh? Though Papa John's/Pizza Hut/Dominos are more likely to get our money on a given day, when we're treating ourselves or hosting company, I can pretty much guarantee you we're ordering Lou Malnati's. F*ck Giordano's.

Not a black olive in sight. Fail on my order!

Lou Malnati's has redeemed itself. We ordered pizza for delivery this past weekend. I used their app and the process was easy. You're able to choose your toppings and whether you want it covering the full pizza or half, doneness of the crust, and you can choose a light mozzarella as well. I chose my pizza to be delivered ASAP and the wait time given was not too long of a wait. However, there was an IT glitch in my order where it was received in the office, not the kitchen. Scott at the Bolingbrook location personally placed a call to me to let me know about the glitch. I appreciated his attention to my order and the explanation. They rushed a pizza right over and included a coupon for another XL pizza on them. Now that's good customer service. The pizza was perfection. It was delivered hot, the toppings were spread evenly, my crust was well done as requested. Even though I had to wait extra time to get my food, I appreciate it the reach out by the restaurant. Great customer service. Thank you, Scott!

First time trying Chicago deep dish pizza, spinach and cheeses, delivery, it was ok. I don't have high expectation, but I have better pizza. It tasted plain, more tomato, and crust was ok.

Delicious! Ordered take out and it wasnt ready but the person came outside and brought it to us when it was. Admittedly, this location has not always been great in the past, however very impressed after this experience. Happy to report that there was no sliding toppings or drippage from that plastic piece.

Ordered pizza online and it was so easy and of course it was delicious one of my favorites, thin crust, & lots of toppings mmmmm

Terrible delivery im very disappointed i have been going here for years, i know all the delivery people, i have never seen this person before, apparently he dropped our pizza and chose not to tell anyone. Im not happy about this event. I talked to the manager and he took care of everything, so im back to loving this place again, delicious pizza and other foods.

Expensive for deep dish as it is and there's literally no cheese on our pizza. Ridiculous. Won't be ordering here anymore. Forgot an ingredient and ALSO ORDERED SMALL PIZZAS AND RECIEVED PERSONAL SIZES. Yikes, get it together.

We decided to order from one of our favorite restaurants in support of #YelpsBigNightIn on Saturday night! Lou Malnati's has been one of my husband's favorite restaurants being a Chicago-local for several years, and he hooked me onto the brand a few months ago upon my relocation to the area as well. We ordered delivery for two pizzas (one deep dish Lou and one thin crust Lou), which the cashier indicated would arrive within the hour. The pizza's arrived on time and felt warm to the touch. As always, we set up our oven to heat the pizzas up again, but upon opening the boxes, we were surprised to see that the deep dish pizza toppings had significantly shifted during travel/driving. The toppings were falling to one side, which ultimately drenched one side of the pizza in significant oil... this also softened the crust on that side of the pizza as well. When we went to take the pizza out of the box, the crust on the bottom was stuck to the cardboard underneath and in our efforts to carefully remove it, the crust itself broke, separating from the pizza and sticking to the cardboard. It left the middle section of the pizza without crust underneath. All of this was quite upsetting, but because of our historical experiences with great flavor, we went ahead with our night. Once we were ready to eat, and I might add famished at this point, waiting to savor the delectable flavors that we know to be Lou Malnati's Pizza, we were again thoroughly disappointed. While the sauce tasted fine, the crust underneath lacked salt and it's typical flavoring, ultimately yielding a pizza flavor that was quite sub-par. It almost also tasted as if the crust wasn't cooked properly and our once favored Lou Malnati's Pizza left a bland taste in our mouths despite our attempts to season with crushed peppers and parmesan cheese. We quelled our lack of satisfaction with the simple thought that we were supporting local businesses in these uncertain times, but were in fact, quite unsatisfied. The toppings shifting during travel and excessive oil that had accumulated on one side, drenching the crust and seeping through the pizza box was just the tip of the iceberg, but the unflavored pizza and crust were simply off-putting. I have reviewed another Lou Malnati's location positively, but also recognize that we were dining-in at the time. We have ordered take out and delivery from them in the past as well, but never had such a poor experience. The small solace to my complaint at this time is that my historical experiences have been positive, so I may be likely to give them another chance, but unfortunately probably not in the near foreseeable future.

It tasted good, but it was soggy.... Ordered through DoorDash, perfect delivery, followed all instruction and was early. As a traveler, the grease and the soggy bread takes away from the flavor. I do not mean to dog your business but I wish I could try it again with a better pizza. For a $16.55, could have been better..

This pizza is really good, but it needs extra sauce it's a little on the dry side for all the dough you get.

Not a huge fan of deep dish ( to much crust) but it was delicious. Also orders a thin crust , personally I prefer more sauce on my pizza.

Red Star is a fairly new takeout pizza place in an odd set of buildings along Weber Rd. There isn't…read moreany light up signage to signify it's open, and most of the other businesses around are auto shops, gyms, and construction material places. Also the hours of operation aren't exactly clear yet. All that being said, the pizza was great! Red Star started out during the pandemic making Frozen pizzas out of the owner's house using fresh ingredients, small batch sauce, and hand made everything. I believe frozen pizza is still their main thing, but I got a "slice" of cheese and a "slice" of sausage fresh made. They were basically each their own while pizza and after I ordered they were cut into smaller slices and put into a to-go box. $10 for a massive slice and a can of pop, which was actually a good value when you see how big and taste how Delicious the pizza is. The crust was strong and chewy and very flavorful, sauce was hearty, cheese and sausage were great. Definitely looking forward to going back and trying more. Hoping they get a little better with signage and hours to make this a more attractive visit for others!

Probably one of the best tasting pizzas I've had in a long time, freshly made and Non-GMO to boot! And the Sausage, Wow! The pizza crust tasted good, a bit crunchier than I would normally prefer, but that is not knocking it. My youngest ate the crust and all, first time ever. She normally eats everything but the crust. Prices are competitive and I will definitely be going back.

I thought I was ordering a great tasting pizza, but I received so much more…read more Last weekend, my family and I ordered an Ultra Thin Crust Pizza with sausage, pepperoni, and a garlic butter crust. It was fantastic! The ingredients and taste were great. I especially appreciated the ultra thin crust. Fast forward, today, my husband and I were looking for something quick for lunch, and I suggested ordering the same pizza we had just ordered. We live approximately 6-7 minutes from the Bolingbrook location, and our previous delivery experience was excellent. So, we were more than eager to do this again. The estimated delivery time given is spot on. Here's where this all begins to go to the left. There was an issue with my delivery address. The address was one number off. The delivery driver contacts me to say he cannot find my address. My husband and I are looking out the window at the driver, trying to tell him he's right at our home. My husband goes out to meet the driver; he pulls into the driveway but says he can't deliver it because the address is incorrect. I attempt to show the driver my State ID and credit card to verify that I am the official purchaser of the PAID order (which included a tip for the driver). This was not sufficient for the driver under the company's policy. The address was not correct, so he had to contact his company. I, in turn, contacted HRI (Bolingbrook). I spoke with the store manager, Mr. Nelson. He explained the delivery company's policy to me and immediately stated he would refund my payment. I wanted my order. I couldn't believe that my order was in front of me, but I can't have it. I have sufficient evidence that I placed the order and paid for it. Yet, approval was needed for me to receive my order. I felt that my character and integrity was being called into question for fraudulent activity. I know that fraudulent behavior occurs in our society, but I AM NOT A PARTICIPANT! The driver did not give us the order (so we thought). This didn't sit well with me at all. I again contacted Mr. Nelson at HRI (Bolingbrook). He took the time, and we had a productive conversation. He listened to me as a consumer, and I listened to him as a business manager. I greatly appreciated his willingness to listen and provide the insight I needed. I didn't understand why my State ID and credit card with my government name on it weren't sufficient to receive my order, even with an error of one number off my address. It is at this moment that Mr. Nelson turned this unfortunate experience for me into something so much more. Mr. Nelson said, "It sounds as though you and your husband haven't eaten today. Let me make your order over for you and deliver it myself." I was completely shocked! I was so shocked that tears began to flow because I couldn't believe this store manager was willing to do this. Mr. Nelson did exactly what he said. He promptly remade our order and delivered it himself. Upon his arrival, my husband and I learned at the same time that the previous delivery driver had left the first pizza on the front steps of our home and never notified us. My husband and I invited Mr. Nelson into our home for the delivery, and we expressed our sincere gratitude to him. Yes, our society and culture are shifting, in some good and not so good ways. However, I was raised to demonstrate positive morals, values, integrity, and character. Mr. Nelson demonstrated the same. He DID NOT have to do what he did, but he demonstrated godly character for himself and well as for HRI (Bolingbrook). The pizza was piping hot and absolutely delicious! I will continue to support this location. Thank you, Mr. Nelson, for caring! You made me feel, as a consumer, that I am valued and appreciated. May God continue to bless him, the establishment, and his family greatly!

Service was quick and the waitress was friendly. Has some video games for kids and plenty of booths and tables and a small bar area. We got their family bundle that included a salad pizza and homemade cheese sticks. The appetizer was very fresh and a good sauce to dip them in. They had a few unique pizza choices so we tried the tavern style Going Green: twice fried garlic with roasted artichokes, mushrooms, and spinach. Super yummy. Would go pack and try some of their other specialty pizzas.

RANTING & CRAVING…read more Allow me to set down the Papa John's pizza box so I can step onto my soapbox. Whenever we order a pizza nowadays, it's usually from the Bolingbrook Papa John's. It's right across from Bolingbrook High School on Lily Cache Ln in a strip mall that's seen better days (the general sketchiness of the area is made worse by the pawn shop next door). Cheesy sticks ($10) are solid - I think it's silly to snack on what amounts to a plain 10" cheese pizza before eating the actual pizza. To me, that's like ordering mini sliders as an appetizer, and then getting a burger as your entrée. More power to you I suppose, but it's all a bit....I don't know, redundant? The cool ranch Papadia ($8) was fine but not a life-changing experience Iike the Doritos locos taco. A flatbread gets stuffed with your choice of meat, cheese, onions and tomatoes, then dusted with Doritos flavor. I wished it came as a calzone option instead of flatbread. The cup of cool ranch dipping sauce was legit, though. Those damn pepperoncini they toss in with each pizza box are getting worse and worse. Last time they gave us the tiniest pepper I've ever seen and we couldn't help but laugh ("what is this, a garnish for ants?") No juice in them, either. These shriveled things wind up in the trash most of the time, sadly. * TL;DR * My wife likes Papa John's a lot more than me (I'll go to bat for Dominos any day of the week). Their garlic cup is clutch, but man oh man I'm convinced they let the pepperoncini sunbathe on the roof for a few days. How else to explain the fact that they've gotten smaller, dryer, and sadder looking with every order? Someone check on the produce guy, see if he's still breathing. And what exactly is the difference between cheesy sticks and a plain pizza? One's cut in vertical strips, the other in triangular slices. One has dough, cheese, and tomato sauce (marinara for dipping). The other has dough, cheese, and tomato sauce. Am I missing something here?? This "cheesy stix" ruse is a Parmesanzi-scheme I want no part of! *exhales*
