just went to pick up a pizza I ordered , and after literally sitting there for 15 minutes while the pizza sat there on the counter , because the girl working the counter totally ign not only myself , but every other caller while she talked about BB-Q sauce for a catering order . at least 3 people hung up and I finally left . there's a Rosattis across the street with better prices and pizza . was a loyal customer , but not anymore . Thursday night 6:30. Basically one employee running the whole show. He seated us, and was our server. Only four tables seated. Sweet guy, but very slow service. Warm bread served at the table. Olive oil on all the tables, but all were close to empty. Ordered a cup of minestrone, a vita bella beef sandwich, and spaghetti with meat sauce. Everything was served nice and hot. Food was delicious, but there was virtually no meat in the meat sauce. It looked and tasted like marinara. This is clearly a restaurant for to go orders. I won't return, but I would be willing to pickup food to take home. read more

Vita Bella in Plainfield has been fueling my family's pizza cravings for a while now -- and honestly, they've never let us down. I've never dined in here (so I can't comment on their chairs, table vibes, or lighting ambiance), but as far as takeout royalty goes, these folks wear the crown. Ordering online is so easy it should be dangerous. One minute you're "just browsing," the next minute you've accidentally ordered enough food to feed a small village -- and I regret nothing. Delivery is always smooth, fast, and drama-free. The pizza shows up like a hero: hot, cheesy, and gloriously overloaded with sausage. They've also got killer sides -- wings, salads, sandwiches -- basically all the food groups that matter. We usually grab wings and pizza, and every single time, we swear we'll have leftovers. Spoiler alert: we never do. If I could give them four-and-a-half stars, I would, but Yelp hasn't invented that yet. So four it is -- only because I still haven't experienced the dine-in magic. Their website is horrible. I know this is my fault and I should have read it closely but when you click on "classic Pepperoni" one would expect it to be a normal pepperoni pizza, nope! It comes with onions, mushrooms and green peppers. The manager told me that I had to "Click" on build your own. REALLY?? Needless to say we haven't ordered from here in a while and now I know why. Yikes!! We were super excited to try a new place heard some good feedback. Ordered a thin crust Margherita pizza and when we went to eat the pizza to our surprise it was loaded with dice tomatoes instead of an actual sauce. Definitely not a Margherita pizza in fact I don't even what that abomination was. To completely eliminate a pizza sauce and serve cheese over diced tomatoes is just insane. Prices on my check where drastically different from the menu. My $9.99 meal was $17.99 on my check. My total check went from $66 to $48. When I asked to speack to the manager about the prices on my check, I showed him the prices on his menus and the price he put on my check. He said he had to raise his prices and hasn't gotten his new menu in yet. Also that he reserves the right to change the prices when he needs to. I told him he can't just change prices without letting the customer know what they are being asked to pay. I told him that this is my 1st time there and last time there. When I called to complain the manager talked over me the whole time and stated "we are sending the rest of your order now" and hung up. We ordered catering from Vita Bella North for my daughter's birthday -- pasta, salad, and garlic bread -- and everything was excellent! The food was delivered hot, fresh, and right on time. The service and food was good, but the place was absolutely disgusting. I sat down and there are spider webs everywhere crumbs everywhere and flies everywhere. What a difference a few years makes, I always said this place was great, but yesterday's fiasco was inexcusable. I ordered online, waited to get update pizza and pasta was done, go in and right away 4 people all waiting. Girl was super pleasant but could not find my pizza, then they have me wait another 30 minutes before deciding to just make a new pizza. The continue to give me pasta that was sitting g there for 30+minutes. Over me a 1/2 refund and never give it to me. Last time here. DO NOT PLACE YOUR ORDER ONLINE!!!! Be aware of the system having flaws as well as staff rudeness. Have placed my order online - my credit card was charged 3 times within 3 minutes - I have called restaurant and incompetent yet rude person over the phone stated that they don't have my order. (By the way one, I was put on hold for long time plus one phone call was dropped) I understand that those were just authorizations - regardless the money were back to my account within 3 business days - 150$ was gone from it for that many days and no apology was given to me - just pure ignorance! I ended up ordering over the phone (had bunch of kids at home having a play night) , the delivery took slightly over an hour. Food mediocre- not worth the price and hassle. The baked mostaccioli is awesome. The portions are enough for 2 people. Thick cheese on top is so good. The service is friendly and efficient. You don't have to wait a long time even when you walk in to order. There is a small area to eat inside but it's basically a carry out restaurant. We were excited to order our favorite ... the Italian beef pizza and breaded mushrooms. The pizza was great but it was cut uneven and there were limited toppings. Only the inner pieces had toppings which was disappointing. The breaded mushrooms were nearly inedible as they were greasy and tasted like a combo of grease and freezer burn. This was very disappointing given that these breaded mushrooms were our favorite in the area. I'm not sure why the quality has decreased but it will be difficult to justify ordering from one of our favorite pizza restaurants again. read more

It was a good pie and it doesn't have sweet sauce like most so it was a yes in my opinion. Just basic pizza. No frills. Dough was good, not great and they cooked it and didn't leave it raw like some places or overload it with cheese. It was very well proportioned and cooked very well. Not underdone or overdone. "We're busy it's Halloween". I don't care about that. If you're so busy tell me 815 delivery instead of 740. Don't lie about it. So she stays nasty, tells me it should be here any minute and we end the call. Food shows up in about 5 minutes. Spent 50+ for dinner and I tip well, which I have to do before I see what kind of service I'm going to get. Anyway, open the food and it's luke warm at best. The Italian Beef Deluxe pizza was so good that I wanted to come back and try another style of pizza. For my next visit, I ordered Vita Bella's Pan Pizza (cheese on top) with sausage--simple, traditional and oh so good! I have to say it might be one of the BEST pan pizzas (or we used to call them deep dish pizzas) with cheese on top that I ever had!!! Vita Bella makes an outstanding pizza, be it traditional thin crust, pan or stuffed. I plan to try the sandwiches and pasta next. Also, the restaurant seems like it would be nice to enjoy dining-in with a glass of wine. I think this is the best pizza in the Plainfield/Naperville/Fox Valley area! read more

Pizza is delicious! Staff is very friendly. Definitely some of my favorite pizza. Pickup is a separate door so you're not navigating around people waiting for the dining room. I do wish they had a cauliflower crust, but, it's ok. The sauce on the pizza is perfect with the most perfect layer of cheese. read more

This is the second time I've ordered food from Vita Bella and I love their ravioli. I had that again cuz it's my fav but we also ordered some pizza. The pizza was made fresh and hot from the kitchen. I've been to Italy and the pizza here was good quality. I saw some photos posted by others but again today my pizza was awesome. The dine in area is cozy and nice ambience. There are TVs to watch sports but the sound can't be heard. There is soft music playing which was nice in case you weren't interested in TV. Overall I had a pleasant experience. I gave four stars because the garlic bread did not taste authentic. We did get a credit off the bill so that was nice of them. I will go again and if the garlic bread tastes as it should I'll update my rating. read more
