This was a great find after hiking in the Red Rocks area. We were there for breakfast and it was fantastic. HUGE portions of southwest/mexican- influenced and traditional breakfast options. We had the breakfast burrito and the Mexican breakfast skillet and both were excellent- flavorful with just enough heat. Can't say enough about the value, especially given the portion size. Location is less than interesting but they have some outdoor seating. Only knock is that service was a bit slow, but outside of that, excellent place for breakfast/brunch. read more

I hate to give a two star review but after our experience I just can't justify an extra star. Service was really slow despite the place being almost empty at 12:30 pm. They seemed to be more focused on cleaning and getting out of there. My skillet breakfast was greasy, had hardly any potatoes and WAY too many onions. I picked out as many as I could and had a huge pile by the end. My husband said his sandwich was okay but the fries were under-cooked and not good. The worst thing however was when they decided to mop the floor during service. The floor cleaner was so strong it made me gag. I shoved down a few bites more of my food but couldn't keep eating as I felt sick. We complained at the register as we were trying to flee but they didn't care. All we heard was she had to get it done because she had a sick kid. We sympathize but that didn't make it right. There was another customer complaining at the same time. I had to go sit in the car while my hubby paid because I couldn't take the smell anymore. I felt nauseous for another 10 minutes or so. This spot had been recommended by friends but I don't think we will be back. read more

In an unassuming strip mall near the Jeffco Taj Mahal comes a delicious diner with enough options to appease the whole family. We came in on a Tuesday around lunchtime and found an open table among many locals grabbing a bite. Service was excellent and fast. I had to wait for the rest of my party, and the waitresses were kind and not too pushy. The amount of options available was amazing. They had at least a dozen skillets to chose from, all with a unique twist (not just one with bacon, the other with ham). It was a challenge to order because they had so many tasty options including Mexican fare, traditional diner, and breakfast items the "Louis Way" I ordered the Louis skillet with seasoned steak, cheddar and smothered in green chili. YUM! One friend got the Mexican skillet with chorizo and green chili, another a traditional breakfast, chicken fried steak. Everyone was really impressed and happy with their meals. The coffee was also great and we appreciated the different creamer flavors. The only thing that was disappointing was the cinnamon roll. We got both the smaller cinnamon roll and the cinnamonster--to be frank we weren't too frightened by this "monster". The size was good and the frosting was on point, but it wasn't gooey (not enough cinnamon filling) and the dough was really tough. Overall, I would consider this my favorite new diner in Golden. Skip Golden Diner and JC's Cafe and try this spot! read more

Stopped for breakfast enrolled to Denver. Doesn't look like much from outside, but inside and the food males you forget how it first appears. One of us had eggs and French toast, the other one had a meat and chili filled skillet. Both served hot, with decent portions and taster great. Coffee refills came as needed and the staff were attentive and took care of our requests in a timely manner. It was requested that indoors everyone not eating wear masks, as did the staff. Only issue I had was that Watchung then clear a table they wiped it down but did not sanitize. I highly recommend stopping by for a meal. read more

I love this place so much! Feels like a local breakfast spot from the Midwest with more southwestern dishes sprinkled around the menu as well. It's a little cozy place but has plenty of seating, if there is a wait, it's never more than a few minutes. The display case in the front has a variety of fresh baked goodies including muffins and giant awesome cinnamon rolls. There's a couple tables outside to enjoy the mountain view. The inside has a good selection of tables as well from little two seaters to tables big enough for a big group or family. They have a breakfast and lunch menu, and all the items hit the spot. Down home style greasy spoon kitchen cooking. The prices are perfect and very modest. The coffee refills are poured consistently so your cup always stay hot and full! My favorite so far is the country fried steak - YUM! The chille rellenos are next on my list because they look amazing. The service is inconsistent but mostly good. I think we came in a couple times when it was short staffed so the food came out slower than we were hoping, but the staff stayed friendly and apologized and kept us updated on our order. Definitely not a huge concern and happy to look past it because the food is always up to great quality and consistency! Our breakfast experience was ruined by the way way too loud music that was playing. I asked the owner to turn it down as we couldn't have a conversation because it was so loud. she said another customer wanted the music loud. I said they should go to a concert if they wanted to listen to music not a restaurant. She had no response and never turned the music down. I hope that customer is a very regular customer like I used to be because I won't go there again. If you want to have a conversation with your breakfast go somewhere else. No great loss as the food quality has really gone downhill recently. Go to the Golden Diner instead. read more

Not even half of what Snooze or Jelly Cafe would expect in terms of a line out the door. Beyond the typical diner food -- eggs, pancakes, sandwiches, burgers -- there's Mexican food to choose from on the menu. Pozole, burritos, green chili everything. Chilaquiles were exactly what I expected, minus that the tortilla underneath was soft. Didn't mind at all! If you've got a sweet tooth, order the Cinnamonster. Been here a few times for breakfast now and am definitely a fan. It's in an odd location (office building-ish), but don't let that fool you. Honestly would never have found it had it not been for a friend and Yelp. Expansive breakfast and lunch options, great prices (especially these days in Denver, am I right?), attentive service, and kind of a classic breakfast joint feel. Pretty much got something for anyone, and the food has always been of high-quality. Coffee is pretty standard and a bit weak, but then again, I'm a bit picky about my coffee and like it strong. Usually has a large tea selection though. All in all, a fine breakfast spot on the west side of the metro area for that all important first meal of the day. read more

This time I had the "Pregnant" (9 months, lol) burrito which is a burrito stuffed with two cheese rellenos and some rice, smothered with their excellent green chile sauce, topped with lettuce tomato and cheese. Don't be fooled, this place is AMAZING!! It's located in a business park and it is delicious. The chicken fried steak is one of the best I've ever had. Their gravy is sausagerific. The green chili and the chili rellanos were on point!! Eggs were cooked perfectly and the service was great. Check in on Yelp for a free muffin, we had chocolate and it was moist and flavorful. Even the bathrooms were great, clean and the women's had fresh roses in it. Don't walk, run to eat here, you won't be disappointed. Edit-I forgot to mention, the prices are cheap!!! read more

We were going to eat hear and drove to eat there and when we got there it was just ridiculous. They said they had outside seating and the canopy was all torn and nobody inside or outside of the restaurant. Driving up to this place you would never guess there was a wonderful cafe located in the building structure. The place was PACKED! I felt bad for the servers because there weren't many of them and it was a little slow. Since we were in no hurry this wasn't an issue. The food was good and the prices were great! I had a breakfast burrito that was pretty standard - I was hoping the green chili would've been spicier and flavorful. The menu was HUGE! It made it difficult for me to make a decision, but gives you reason to go back and keep trying different things since there are so many options. read more

This is a great little inexpensive breakfast place to stop in at for some brunch grub. Its within walking distance to our house so we decided one morning after sleeping in FAR too long to just take a walk and enjoy the odd 70 degree November weather on our way to some breffus. Service was GREAT - they greeted us immediately upon walking in an we were seated promptly. You could tell the waitress was busy but she took the time to come and be personable with us and see if we had any questions; she was awesome. The food is your standard diner breakfast/lunch type. Inexpensive but did not disappoint. We both walked out totally stuffed for about $20 after tip. If you are looking for Snooze-level brunch this isn't it; but you will get some good old fashioned eggs, hashbrowns and solid diner quality pancakes. MUCH better than some other breakfast places of similar caliber nearby (*cough*the place on Old Golden Rd which is a greasy spoon*cough*). I could see coming here hungover and it being the most amazing breakfast ever. They also have decently good vegetarian options. We will definitely return. read more

Our family decided to walk to this omelette emporium with dogs, I put aside our dogs flipping out at anyone walking by for this review and focused on the tastes. I ordered a cheese omelette and discovered a meats option, I went for that and a hot chocolate (see photos) the cheese omelette came smothered in cheese, ham and potatoes. The hot chocolate came with lots of whipped cream, it was nice and milky. Overall, Louis' Cafe is an amazing family place and I highly recommend this place for massive eats and brunch galore. read more

Lately. this is my "go to" five star, breakfast restaurant - on weekday mornings (more about that later). Great menu, good food, big portions, better than average prices, great service - coffee cup is never more than half empty. A short distance off the touristy areas, but worth the trip. On weekend mornings its popularity cost it a rating star. It gets really busy. Service is rushed, food orders are incomplete and it is difficult to get a server's attention for a remedy. If you can get there during the week - go for it! If you can only only go on weekends, be prepared. read more

Found this amazing place on Yelp after our regular stop was unexpectedly closed (for Sunday breakfast?) and so happy we did. Got the Country Benedict which is sausage on a biscuit topped with two eggs (how you want them) and smothered in country gravy with potatoes. OMG! Heaven! My husband had the huevos rancheros which was covered in the most flavorful homemade salsa. Yum! My friend got the breakfast burrito which was overfilled and drowned in cheese. To top it all off we ordered a side of tamale (made by our server, Manuel's, mom-in-law) and chili relleno. One was more delicioso than the next! Manuel couldn't be nicer and kept our coffee mugs filled to overflow. The place so friendly, open, CLEAN, and the views of the mountain range are wonderful! Don't miss this gem!
