Came here after a workout at Red Rocks on our way back to Louisville. Great service, great food, great prices. Off the beaten path in an office building but did not disappoint. Loui opened a second location! Yay! I've been eating Loui's cooking since way back in the early 90's when he was a cook at the Breakfast Queen in Englewood. So thrilled he was able to open this one, food is fantastic, prices are super reasonable, and very friendly servers. His location in Littleton is the same, smaller but just as good of food. This was one of my favorite breakfast restaurants. However, we noticed a pattern of being ignored. It happened two or three times . We would walk in and be seated and everyone who were seated after us were waited on. It became an ongoing issue and and we mentioned it. The family and I went for a brunch. They gave us a seat outside then forgot about us. Almost an hour after ordering, we were told that they were out of mashed potatoes. They had enough to fill one of our orders. My daughters club sandwich had a hair in it. I was the unfortunate one to get the only serving of instant powdered mashed potatoes. Even the I've salted gravy didn't hide the fact that the food was horrible. I had a chicken fried steak that tasted like it came out of a frozen bag. My wife had the hot turkeys with a brown salt gravy and fries since they ran out of boxed potatoes.(her fries were far better than what they called mashed potatoes and that isn't saying much) they are not prepared to handle a busy brunch crowd. The food is reasonably priced, the portions are big, the wait staff are helpful, and the coffee keeps flowing through the whole meal. We entered around 1:00. Place was packed so thought it would be good. Waitress came over after 5 minutes to get our drink order. I asked for iced tea. They didn't have any and wasn't going to brew more. So we both ordered milkshakes. While waiting a police officer got up and stood at the counter trying to pay his bill, no one around, so he walked behind the counter and left something. 10 minutes later, Waitress came back to take our order and inform us she was having problems with the milkshakes? We went here because it looked good and inexpensive. My girlfriend ordered the chili rellenos and I ordered the Hawaiian French toast. Mine was really good! Hers came out with mushrooms in the hash browns. She's allergic to many kinds of mushrooms, so we sent it back. 30 seconds later our server brought back the rellenos and the eggs on a separate plate. We were expecting a new plate since everything was touching the hash browns. We got a box and left and went to a different resraurant. Their kitchen does not take food allergies seriously. read more

My friend and I came for Brunch on a Sunday after reading the good Yelp reviews. We were seated right away but did not receive menu's for 10 minutes even with waitresses giving us eye contact we had to get up and ask someone for a menu. Good breakfast spot. When we went in expected our son to only be able to eat eggs, potatoes, and meat as he is gluten and dairy free. However they do have gluten free bread. Upon request they will make French toast with the gluten free bread. You just have to ask. I would suggest it if you are celiac, but if it's an intolerance your good to go. This place was surprising. I'd driven by several times and never noticed it. It was open when no other place in Golden was, so I thought I'd give it a shot. It's standard diner fare, the portions were generous, and the service was only slightly slow. There was only one waitress in the restaurant when I was there though, so I can't really ding that. My omelette was large and hot and not over or under cooked. The potatoes were probably my favourite thing. Crispy and light, made just right for my taste. The coffee was ok but more importantly I never had an empty cup. The price was good and even a little less than I would have expected. I'll come back here again if I get the chance. read more

Unfortunately, the service was way off on this day we had to get to the airport. We were told to sit anywhere and then waited for ten minutes for the same gal to acknowledge us. We didn't know if it was table service or we had to order at counter. After watching five parties order at counter, we got up to ask if we needed to order and then sit and were asked if we needed menus. Duh. We ordered the Yelp check in muffin and were asked if we wanted it warmed - yes. It came out cold. She finally took our orders and was helpful. We ordered a cinnamonster after reading how good they would be. After almost thirty minutes and finally asking two waitresses about our order since we needed to get to the airport, it was brought it out....we had maybe five minutes to eat and my appetite was ruined by now as I just want to get home tonight. This is all very sad as they were not busy except with each other AND the food was delicious. We never got our cinnamon roll so no comment on that, but my tamales and the order of chili rellenos were delicious. Maybe if we had time to spare in the future, we would come back, but this was all very disheartening for us. read more
