Sometimes you just want to browse around on your own before getting some help to decide on your purchase. I stopped in on a weekday expecting it to be somewhat dead but I was wrong as every single worker was attending to a customer. Walked around the store for 10-15 minutes then waited for somebody to help us but that took another 15 minutes before we got help. The lady was actually helping multiple customers and took second to ask us if we needed help with anything. Told her that we were looking for a card wallet Epi leather but it was available in store but she showed us what she did have. She took them out and let us look at them, while multi tasking on helping multiple customers she let us know that she would be right back as she had to ring the other customer up. Not a problem at all as we needed the time to figure out what we wanted anyways. After wrapping up with her other customer, she brought us out a couple bottles of complimentary water bottles and answered all the questions we asked to ultimately help us decide on what to purchase. She also asked if there was anything else in the store we would be interested in taking a look at but with our luck the other item we wanted to see had to be ordered in. After wrapping up our wallet, she walked us out to the door and gave us her business card and said to call/text her if we have any questions. (will need to find card to find her name) All in all, with all my experiences at this store I've never had any big issues and have always walked out of the store with a smile. I was initially hesitant to go to this store based on some of the negative reviews, but I needed my bag immediately and didn't have time to order it online and have it shipped to me. I had a wonderful experience at this Louis Vuitton location. A few seconds after I walked in the door I was asked if I needed any help, and I told the person at the front the specific bag I was looking for, and she checked to make sure they had it in stock. Thankfully they had it in store, and she said that it would be a few minute wait for a sales associate to help us, and that we could look around the store while we waited. The nice sales person found us shortly after, and already knew my name and what bag I wanted. He brought me over to the counter and took out the bag that I wanted in 2 different color options, and I decided on one color immediately. I never felt rushed or pressured, and I was extremely excited to get my new bag as my birthday present. Placed an order for handbag to be shipped to my business as I wont be home to sign for it, order was confirmed and later cancelled because they refuse to ship to my address. When I called I was told that they wont ship to high traffic business area. I explained that I receive all my high value items at work because they require a signature and that my home address will not work as I work full time. They had no concerns for my situation. now I have to take time off and travel to next store to pick up. Why does Louis Vuitton treat their customers like thieves? Why they cancel the order after confirming it? So, Yes, LV is LV and there are just some standards. The product is always going to be awesome quality. It will probably also have LV logos all over it. My favorite thing about LV is that they keep an electronic account of your purchases so they know what you have, what you like, what to show you next no matter where you go. If you can't exactly remember then name of the pattern or color or the dimensions of something you bought, they just look it up for you and you're one step closer to perfectly coordinated accessories. About this store in particular: The service is good (not my favorite, but you know, you only get to have one favorite). Everyone has been friendly, but none of the sales persons ever felt like someone I really enjoyed working with. No one who would be able to influence my purchase. No one is ever pulling secret things out of cabinets for me. Actually, the selection has seemed pretty standard. They never pull out anything new and funky. Yes they get new stock, but I haven't seen new stock that really just stands out to me. Anyway, I like it. Spacious, clean, and the service is very good. Appalling. Having purchased a few items from LV I'm use to the 'front of shop' customer service drill. Impeccable, faultless service. Having never had a handbag repaired by LV I was expecting the same type of professionalism. Big mistake. My Alma handles repair took just over 5 months (I was told 3 months max.). I called LV repeatedly to find out about the repair and on one occasion the 'repair specialist' said the new handles were stranded in Paris (due to the Iceland's volcano eruption) and they would make way to California (that's where the repairs go) when flights resumed. Weeks later I called again and another staff member said the handles were being made from scratch and it would be another few weeks until my bag would be returned to me. After 5 months I finally called LV's customer relations department (their 1800 number)...then things changed smartly. On a positive note, LV wavered the repair charge. Mmmm I wonder why? read more

They have made it *extremely* hard to connect to an associate in the store to confirm product even though i have a voice message requesting me to call 617-437-6519. Finally when the call does go through i find out that the item i was promised as being held for me with my CC info. is no longer available as it has been sold. Felt welcomed by Samia right as we set foot in the door. Helped us pick out a great Birthday gift for Princess Sweet 16. She was very patient in showing us all the options, as teenagers become more picky as the years go by. This store is well stocked with the latest LV bags, luggage, and accessories. I have been saving and working long hours and decided to treat myself to my first ever LV purchase. I knew what I wanted and was ready to just head in and out at the Copley location. They had me add my name to the list and told me it would be about 20 mins as all their associates were busy with other people. I waited in the store. I'm not kidding I waited 2 hours. I asked an associate if she could just take me and when she asked if I had added my name to the list I said yes she dismissed me. I asked 2 other associates (blonde lady) and got the same reply. They never called my name I was in the store the whole time and just kept taking on other clients as they walked in. I literally sat at the counter I was so upset and irritated, the store associates just kept ignoring me. Finally when most of the clients have left FOUR associates all asked me if I had been helped and I told them in a stern manner that I had been on the list and when I inquired I was dismissed and have been waiting for 2 hours... one girl stumbled trying to tell me I was on the list and she hadn't gotten to me and blah blah. They rang me up. I wish I have never went to the LV in Copley. I can say with confidence they definitely judged me from the start and gave me very poor customer service with the way they treated me. read more

First time shopping at this location and can I just say that their customer service is horrible... I understand that the sale advisors are working one on one with customers and there was a waiting list cause it was busy on a Saturday night but when I walked over to ask a question they all just looked the other way without even telling me to give out my name so I could be put on the waiting list. Walked around probably 20 mins and still wasn't helped so I went to the front and asked then finally she had someone come over and work with me. The sale advisor was very nice and helpful. Fortunately, where I live in Raleigh, NC there is a LV boutique in the Sak's so going into a LV store outside of the area, I would have assumed to have a larger selection. You know what happens when you assume, right? There isn't anything necessarily bad about this LV. It is in a great location, Copley, and easily accessible, but the selection was minimal and the staff were just, ok. They greeted us and as we walked around, they were doing their own thing at the counter. They had many classic collections but I noticed they did not have much in lieu of the newer collections. I know that other reviews talked about people who come into LV are there to get LV and know what they want, but I think there is always a need for a bit of hospitality and that may have given LV a bump up in the stars for my review. read more

The young lady who helped me at this store was an absolute sweetheart and I actually wish she worked at one of the LV stores near me. I had been wanting a particular bag for a while and I thought about purchasing it in Las Vegas where I live, but since I was going to be in Boston anyway, I figured I'd buy the bag at the Louis Vuitton store where I had purchased my very first LV bag in the 90's. The sales associate who helped me was actually training another sales associate, showing him how to present the bag and how to place the straps. The only thing I was disappointed in was that they only had two left in the style I wanted, so I made sure to check and double check the bag from the straps to the hardware. It would have been nice to get a fresh bag from the back but I was still happy with my purchase. They also forgot to include the price tag in the bag which I didn't notice until I got home later that night. But next time I'll make sure everything is in the bag before I leave. read more

My girlfriend has been looking for a bag forever and we finally found it at LV in Boston. Unfortunately you can't contact the stores directly even their customer care can't . They send a message to them and leave your contact details but also let you know that if the store only has one left of what you want they won't sell it to you because they want to sell it to walk in customers. Well I guess that's true because the Boston store never called. Imagine wanting to buy a $2,000 bag and no one wanting to sell it to you. You get better service in Walmart. We came in with the intention to buy new luggage, a pair of loafers and maybe do some browsing. Which apparently isn't allowed at this location? The man at the door tried telling us that it is a company wide policy but we've shopped enough with the brand to know that's not true. We had someone on our heels the entire time and couldn't even make comments to one another with out her butting in our conversation. Funny enough she didn't even know that answers to the questions we did directly ask her, and seemed unwilling to try to find out. My husbands first comment after leaving was "did they think we were going to steal?" And I felt the same way. The people working were snotty and inexperienced. It's actually quite sad to see a brand which was one a pillar of good service and quality fall to such low standards. I have always had a great experience here no matter if I am just perusing or actually laying down some hard earned cash. The staff here is excellent and always willing to help without being too intrusive. I wanted to pick up a couple copies of the London guide book as gifts for friends going to London and they only had one in store. What I can't really seem to wrap my little brain around is the customer service they offer. I've been in this store more times than I can remember. The staff in the Boston store can be a bit more pretentious, but hey, you're in Boston! I bought my first LV bag here eight years ago, and still wear it today as it looks brand new. Since then, I've purchased several accessories, wallets, planners, etc... all of which are still in great condition. This location did a great job of fixing one of my bags that was discontinued. The replacement item was not made anymore, so they found me a very similar substitute. It was fantastic! A few years later, when my agenda book broke (bent rings inside), they were very good about fixing it and called me promptly when it was ready to be picked up. Some associates are great, others are some serious pretentious mofo's... but once you find your associate, they will remember you and welcome you back every time you come in. read more

I went back to this store after already making a recent purchase (experience not great the first time) The woman didn't seem knowledgable about the products and it was hard to understand her english. When i arrived a second time, I walked around looking at the wallet case in the front. I was clearly looking for someone to help. When the woman checking people in came to the front she walked right by me and greeted other guests to ask them for help and completely ignored me. I was appalled and walked out. What is up with the pretentious attitude in this town? I actually thought that part of the training for Louis Vuitton was to treat everyone kindly. I was browsing the store for what I should buy for my mom, and the staff did not greet me at first. I had to greet a woman at the front before she offered me a smile and asked if I needed any help. I left the store right away empty-handed. Just a reminder for your staff at Copley, you are in the hospitality industry, for such a high-end store, MAYBE you should greet your guests first and show them real sincerity. I was apprehensive to go to this location based on the reviews, however my purse was in dire need of repairing so I took my chances. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and Anthony was extremely helpful. I purchased my handbag in Hawaii so I was worried I would not be in the system. They were able to pull me up in the computer and I found the emailed receipt on my phone. Since it was a recent purchase (in June) they replaced my handbag with a brand new one for no extra cost. Anthony was very apologetic about the damage to the original handbag and everyone was very helpful. read more

There are a few poor reviews, however I had the opposite experience. This was my first Louis purchase and I had made a day of it. I walked in and was immediately asked if I needed anything. I explained the bags I was deciding between and they immediately went to get the bags to show me a side by side. The woman who was helping me, who happened to be a manager, listened to my back and forth with myself and gave her opinion without pushing towards any particular bag. I was then offered champagne and another sales associate came over to address a personal preference concern of mine. After I made my decision the manager brought me to a register while the other consultant wrapped the bag. I was given a business card as well as a comprehensive overview of care and maintenance information. I will 100% be back to but another bag. read more

I was in Boston, walking around, when I remembered seeing this insanely cool book in my school's fashion library all about Louis Vuitton's artists, photographers in photo-shoots, and architecture in their stores & windows... i figured i'd take a stab at it and waltz into LV like i actually had a few bucks to spend and see what happens. so it turns out, they had the book, not only did they have it but they had a limited edition with a over designed by Murakami... one look at this book and just blurted it out: ...."HOW MUCH!?". Valerie, the lovely girl who greeted me told me the price (which, because my family reads my reviews I won't write here... as they would probably disown me), and I said I'LL TAKE IT! Now because I'm a total dork and I enjoy packaging and feeling special, i asked if I could have it put in a box, in case there was any snow or rain that night/water falling off roofs and whatnot- and she was one step ahead of me as she sauntered into the back room. about a minute later, she returned to me with a beautifully packaged gift box, wrapped in yellow and teal ribbon in a perfectly sized shopping bag. It was like being presented with an honorable award by the military. I almost was expecting to hear people applauding behind me... Needless to say, my retail therapy was fulfilled... and walking around boston for a few hours holding a shopping bag from louis vuitton... people look at you in a certain way, like you're something special, you've made it. Who can ask for more than that? If I ever can afford something from this store again, and I'm feeling like throwing down the visa, I will gladly return to this store. And also, I gotta say - for a store which has often felt cold at best in terms of the people working here- Valerie was very sweet and quick, even though what I was buying wasn't a high ticket item- she still treated me like I mattered, and sometimes- that's all it really takes to put a smile on your face. read more

had a beautiful bag that was just about a year old amd the straps started to fray. went into the store and they wanted to fix it but of course could not gurantee it would not happen again so I decided I would pick something else out. I did just that but it was basically half the price of the one I was returning. they actually were giving me a hard time about giving me a store credit. said it was policy that I had to spend the whole amount right now!! the salesgirl taking out wallets, and purses to entice me (both of which I already had) imagine, trying to think of what you might want for that amount of money if a few minutes! after a lot of haggling, they finally very reluctantly gave in and gave me a credit for the remainder of the cost of the old bag. you spend that much money in a store and they give you a hard time trying to get compensation. was not happy. i hope this isnt the policy of Louis Vitton because thats pretty crummy when you think you are dealing with the best and you have a problem. read more

Having said that, I'd skip the mall store and head down to the boutique in Saks; not only is the service about 4.8 times better, but if you use your Saks card you also get Saks points, which get you free gift cards and other bonuses. The missus sports a new Louis courtesy of this joint (and the roughly $70 in savings that the MA tax free weekend allowed). My criticisms of the store are skewed down slightly as the tax amnesty weekend brought scads of people who couldnt afford a trip to the dentist, or deodorant, yet could afford to drop a G note on brand whoring. My previous trips have been slightly more refined- yet I have never been wowed by the staff's approach to customer care. I am of the mindset that if you sell a commodity whose sole value is artificial prestige, than you should treat the rubes falling for this gag with tinkerbell care. They dont- they are more standoffish than abjectly rude, sort of "eh, we dont care if you a drop a stack on our wares- you are still beneath us". I mean, granted, it is Louis- but it is still retail. I dont disparage that, but acknowledge your place in the socio economic totem pole- you aren't the Dukes and Duchesses of fucking Richslingston. Not that Dukes and Duchesses should act uppity either, but, well- you get my point. Still - all in all- not the worst offender of this trend (ahem, Hermes) but not ideal. We have purchased a few bags, wallet and other items from this store in the last few years. The in store service has been knowledgeable and attentive every time and on par to other stores we have visited in the past including their flagship Paris store. We have recently went to the store as we had a small issue with a strap for one of my wife's bags that she uses in rotation with her other LV bags. While the bag itself has been pristine, the strap for some reason has been problematic from the start and we brought it in for repair. Our client advisor, Sung Sexton, was fantastic and so was the store manager in helping us out with this issue. We were treated in a highly professional manner and issue satisfactory resolved. read more

Really unfortunate that you reserve some of your merchandise only for in-person customers.
