    #Facts!! Cute coffee decor!
    Meredith T.

Had been here before - but went recently with my sister and had the chilaquiles burrito and let me tell you -for a person who doesn't like burritos ... this was soooooo good - we ended up coming back the next day to order the same thing!! My sister had the horchata frap and I ordered the iced cafe de olla with a strawberry Aqua Fresca to go! Absolutely Delicious !! From the friendly service to cute ambiance and decor of the shop- this is a cute neighborhood spot to try some delicious food and refreshing drinks!

Staff was very friendly Monica and Steve I believe and the chili chilaquiles were amazing I got the carne asada ones with no egg and I did 1/2 red and 1/2 green sauce I liked both sauces I can't pick what's better between the two I'll definitely be back

Great local neighborhood coffee shop that specializes in homemade churros. They also have fresh cafe de olla and champurado -- which is a sweet Mexican drink that takes me back to my childhood during the holidays. The churros come with your choice of dipping sauces ... dulce de leche or chocolate. Will definitely be back to try their chilaquiles. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They share the strip mall with the Chevron station, but there is plenty of parking.

The food here is good. Ambiance is very cutesy however staff and service is not the best. I've been here twice now and each time the cashiers are just passive aggressive and seem very unhappy. I remember asking a question about the menu, asking if I just choose one meat for a sandwich which the cashier responds with "well yeah there's commas and it says the word 'or' so yeah just choose one" but in a tone that was just sarcastic. Other than that food and churros are good. Portions are big, I have gotten a chorizo bagel, mole chilaquiles, and the red and green chilaquiles.

My husband and myself have been craving chilaquiles. Gave the spot a chance and it didn't disappoint. Everything was delicious from their strawberry aqua Fresca to the iced vanilla coffee was on point. The amount is very generous. They also gave us samples of their churros very yummy

Best chilaquiles ever!!! I ordered the carne asada chile verde option, and they were phenomenal. The amount of protein you get for your money is insane! I'm thankful that the chilaquiles come in a to-go container because I had so much left over, and I didn't have to ask for a box. I ordered a cafe de olla iced coffee, and it was fabulous as it wasn't too sweet. We got complimentary churros with our order, and they were good. I'd love to return for a churro sundae someday. It's small inside and very hot in the summer.

Cute place. Close to home and my kid's school. Staff are always so friendly and welcoming and they know their customers! They know when they see new faces. I've had their churros before and it's so good (tastier fresh). They're quick, but if there's a wait that's because they make everything fresh and tbh, some things are worth the wait. Today I got their carne asada chilaquiles with an egg and green salsa (to go). Never disappoints. Love this place and they opened a second location too!

Medium chilaquiles with green salsa and chicken. Really tasty.

My coworkers have been here numerous times before and they love the food here. I always like good Chilaquiles, so decided to finally give it a go today. I got the medium chilaquiles with green salsa and with chicken added to it. The box looks kind of small, but it is actually a lot of food. I like how you can ask for the toppings on the side if you like crispier tortillas, or get them ready to eat if you like it a little soggier. I got it ready to eat and it was really good. Lots of chicken and every bite was delicious. Also got some churro bites and they were delicious. Reminded me of eating churros at Disneyland again. Menu is pretty extensive. Different sandwiches, salads, quesadillas, and lots of drinks too. I believe the owner was the one working the register. We had a pretty big order with modifications to several of the items, but he was still patient and friendly. Can't wait to come back and try some other stuff on the menu.

Vanilla Iced Latte - so good!

Vanilla ice latte was delicious! Not too sweet and great coffee flavor. Churros Fruitci Bowl Strawberries were sweet and fresh. Great presentation. I didn't try the churros this time, but the last time I tried them, they were really good! Super friendly staff. A couple seats inside and outside in a shaded area. Been here a couple times already and would come back!

Upon entering you are greeted with a burst of heat, kinda like when you open the door to a hot oven...and it remained that way until you went back outside. There was obviously no airflow in the space and it was very stuffy and warm. Placed our order at the counter and felt extremely rushed. The cashier (she) seemed like she was in a hurry and assumed our order was togo, she even gave the ticket to the "cook" before we even finished ordering. We waited for almost 30 minutes for our order to be ready. (You'd think food would be prepared/ready quickly after being rushed to order AND no customers ahead of us)! I opted for the chilaquiles with green sauce and added an egg. My sister had the chilaquiles with green sauce, added carne asada and an egg. We also ordered an order of churro bites to share. My sister enjoyed her chilaquiles, I on the other hand, thought they were "meh". The egg was rubbery and way overcooked, the tortilla chips remained crispy because there was hardly any green sauce so it was kinda dry IMO. Aside from the unwelcoming service, and mediocre chilaquiles, the churro bites came in clutch and saved the day! They were yummy, crunchy, sweet bites of goodness! They came with your choice of chocolate or Dulce de leche sauce for dipping but I don't think it was really necessary, they were perfect on their own! I'd definitely come back just for the churros but not for the wait.

    Chilaquiles de Chorizo!
    Frank M.

Ohh to the Emm to the Geeeeee!! First time coming here, and I'm sold. Not knowing anything about the place, the owner greeted me so warmly. She said she was going to "spoil me" AND SHE DID! Offered me a sample of Champurrado, Churro, and Cafe de Olla!! They were all yummy. I got the Chilaquiles de Chorizo we can over easy egg on top. Yummmmm!! It's a great breakfast place!! THANK YOU, Love Ch Ch!! I WILL BE BACK! The place seems a little hidden, considering it's in an auto repair business center. Once you're they're, the coffee scent blows you away! Such great energy! It deserves to be in a much better place. Looking forward to the success and progress.

Good portions and lovely staff. They have both indoor and outdoor seating options. Chilaquiles was delicious and I would definitely come back again.

    Mole chilaquiles with egg.

Location is off Amar now (not Nogales). I was craving chilaquiles and stopped by the new location for the first time. It has more seating than the old location and the guy working was really friendly. He told me the mole is from Puebla and kind of spicy but wasn't for me at all (might be spicy if you're not used to it). Got the large chilaquiles and it was a lot. Mole was authentic Mexican mole and chips were still crispy. This is a dish you need to eat right away. Didn't disappoint. Will return again to try the red and green chilaquiles.

None of the coffee refillable. No Creamers options/ milk options, sense was just unwelcoming and wouldn't want to come back. Maybe in another 8 years. There were plenty of parking as it's in a shared plaza. For the store, it's a moderate size but it was definitely busy at the time we went. For ordering, you'll need to order at the counter before sitting down. After browsing the menu, we decided on the pink vodka pasta and the rich miso pasta (Taiwanese sausage added). American Express is accepted as a payment option. The staff gave us a number to place on the table we sat at but we were free to grab any seat we liked. For seating, there were a few tables for parties of two and limited tables for bigger groups. Keep in mind if you need water or extra napkins, they'll have those near the bar seating. Both the Pink Vodka Pasta and Rich Miso Pasta exceeded our expectations! The miso pasta leans on the creamy side but pairs very well with the pink vodka pasta. The miso pasta didn't come with any protein by default, so we were glad that we added the Taiwanese sausage. Fun fact is that the meatball from the Pink Vodka Pasta is vegan! The portion size was super generous from both dishes and was beyond just two people. I wasn't expecting to discover pasta dishes that I'd consider as one of my favorites from this visit! I'll definitely come back to try other dishes.

I am so glad we chose Hide Out Cafe in Rowland Heights to have our celebration. The food is delicious, the staff is so friendly, and the cafe is so cozy and welcoming. My brother was sponsoring our meal since he couldn't make it, so of course we had to go all out and order two drinks and two main dishes. (Thank you, big brother)! I got the Boba Bear Set $8.50, which comes with a drink and two house-made cookies, and my mom got their Tiramisu Latte $7.00, which is heavy on the coffee liquor, to be honest, but we had fun with it. The drinks are crafted beautifully, and with the open cafe concept, you can see they pay attention to the small details of their crafted drink menu. The house-made cookies that were a part of my Boba Bear Set are not to be forgotten. The cookies are buttery, decadent, and delicious; they are the perfect tea cookies to pair with! I can't wait to go back and try more of their fun drinks and maybe bring a study book the next time. For our main dishes, we shared the Chimi Wagyu & Frites $35.00, and the Fresh Avocado Toast $19.00. We both love eggs so of course we had to get something with eggs in our dish. My mom loved her avocado toast, and they were very generous with the avocado as well on there. The salad is a definite hit with us and included a great dressing on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly on top of our toast and steak. The frites with my steak were crispy and seasoned well. I also loved the chimi sauce with my steak as well. The portion was huge so we were able to take some back home to enjoy another day. Overall, my mom and I had a great experience and would absolutely come back for another sip of their lattes and try another fun drink on their menu. We left with happy smiles and full stomachs, and can't wait to come back soon.

It's a brown sugar milk tea with caramel foam with a floating frozen milk tea bear. ADORABLE!! The set even includes two house-made cookies. WOW! TASTY!! (Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring card or contactless payment.) I arrived at Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) on Wednesday (around 10:21AM). Parking is very easy. The lot is big. However, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) is very hidden. It has no visibility from the street! Staff is very professional and welcoming. Staff politely and cheerfully answered all my questions. Staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. For example, the location does not have a paper menu; all the menus are accessed via QR Code. Fortunately, Staff let me borrow their iPad which allowed me to see the menu on a larger screen. When I'd arrived, Staff asked if I was dine-in or to-go. I was immediately seated. When I'd inquired about the boba. Staff honestly told me that they needed 15 additional minutes to prepare the boba. I brightly waited. All in all, after the 15 minute wait, the drink took an additional 10 minutes before being ready. As mentioned, I ordered the Boba Bear Set ($8.50). CUTE!!! It's a very aesthetic and memorable presentation. The boba pearls came perfect; they're bouncy, perky, and playful. The brown sugar milk tea mixed with the caramel foam tasted honey-like. It's very TASTY! My biggest nitpick is that the amount felt tiny. Still, it's a wonderful memory that I'm so happy to experience! On ambiance, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) is comfortable and clean. There's about 13 interior tables, and there's six patio tables. The music is slow-tempo, and the tall ceiling made it feel spacious. In addition, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) has utility. There's customer internet with password; details are available on the QR code menu. There's also about four electrical outlets. I also appreciated the self-service water station. There's also a gender neutral restroom in the back. Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) felt very hidden yet well-maintained. It's a lovely spot. Overall, I had a magical, memorable experience. I discovered AMAZING milk tea and many precious memories. If searching for someplace special, I happily recommend. 4.9 out of 5

As a long-time fan of your restaurant, this was one of my favorite places to dine; however, my experience during this visit was deeply disappointing due to a lack of communication and poor service standards. My primary concerns are as follows: Limited Menu Communication: Upon arriving, I was disappointed to find a restricted holiday menu that did not include the dishes I had specifically come for. While I understand the need for a limited menu on busy holidays, this should have been communicated to guests waiting outside. Waiting an hour to be seated only to realize the items I craved were unavailable was a significant letdown. Inattentive Service: Despite the restaurant not appearing to be at full capacity, the service was lacking. My father's meal arrived significantly later than the rest of the table's, and basic needs--such as coffee refills for my mother and water for the table--were never addressed. No one checked in to see if we were satisfied with our meal at any point. Gratuity Policy: Regarding the 18% gratuity for parties of six or more, I completely respect the policy in principle. However, when the service does not meet basic expectations, being told I must pay a specific dollar amount--in this case, $40--feels intrusive. I am someone who genuinely enjoys leaving generous tips in cash to reward good service; being forced to pay a set amount for a subpar experience felt less like a gratuity and more like an unjustified surcharge. I believe your establishment is capable of much better. I hope you take this feedback into account to ensure future holiday guests receive the transparency and quality of service that originally made me a loyal customer.

We were sad to not see any cocktails yet, hopefully mimosas coming soon. I tried the horchata and the signature chilaquiles. Everything was great, fresh ingredients. Good food and good company!

Their sweeter breakfast items are also huge portions and just so yummy. They do amazing dinners too, the salmon cakes are unbelievably good. They also host private dinners, which is actually what I did for my best friend's engagement dinner. Huge shoutout to the owner, Cat, who was so amazing to work with and made the whole night feel extra special. She was so patient with all my questions, made the planning process super easy, and even helped create a customized menu for our dinner. You can really tell how much care goes into this place.

Surprisingly the restaurant only had a few tables filled but I thought since it's still early people would pile in later. We got seated right away. Looked at the menu and didn't see the happy hour items so we asked for the happy hour menu. Server notified my friend and I that the happy hour menu is part of the regular menu but was listed on the bottom corner. Unfortunately It was a lot smaller than the happy hour menu on their website. Still decided to try some happy hour such as the sisig tacos and lychee fizz. Also got regular dinner menu items such as the garlic parm fries and the chicken Tocino. Friend wanted to try the Yuzu Witbier but they ran out and also ran out of the yuzu lavender.. a bit disappointed. The food came out quickly and it was delicious. Wish the happy hour menu was expanded though. Also nice that the menu is seasonal so they have different dishes. There is also outdoor seating so it's nice to enjoy the weather during the day. I will come back another time to try their lunch menu.

It's simple but full of character, featuring cholo-style artwork inspired by Blood In, Blood Out, along with actor signatures that give the place a cool, authentic vibe. We were able to sit back, enjoy great company, and have an even better meal. The kids loved the breakfast burrito, waffles, and the classic breakfast plates. I ordered the chorizo omelette, and it did not disappoint -- generous chunks of perfectly cooked chorizo throughout. You can truly taste that everything is made from scratch with fresh ingredients. The country fried steak is incredible as well -- definitely worth trying. There's plenty of parking, including street parking since the restaurant sits on a corner. They offer covered outdoor seating with a gated area and a TV, plus indoor seating if you prefer. I will most certainly be returning. Highly recommend!

That kind of genuine hospitality is rare and immediately sets the tone. The food was excellent. I had the pancake combo and my son ordered the cheeseburger--both were fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Even the ranch was standout. George then offered samples, which honestly sealed the deal. I don't like seafood at all, but the clam chowder was unbelievably good. And the biscuits and gravy? No exaggeration--the best gravy in the area. Nothing else comes close. The décor is another highlight. The Blood In Blood Out theme throughout the café is very cool, especially seeing the murals on the walls signed by actual cast members who have visited. It gives the place a unique character and makes it feel like more than just a café--it's an experience. Amazing food, amazing service, and a welcoming atmosphere. This is officially my new go-to spot for breakfast and lunch. Next visit, I'm trying the country fried steak and the chicken fettuccini. Highly recommend.
