I'd opt for two pieces of chicken for just $3 more.

Popular during lunch as it's a stone's throw from PSU. The tender chicken pops with flavor and I love the clumpy-textured rice. The four sauces/condiments were good too. Only the salad was meh, not bad, just unmemorable. Service is robotic, but pleasant. Atmosphere is sauna-like, no frills.

    This is the current menu.

Found this place on Yelp. The chicken is flavorful and cooked to perfection. Their rice and salad round out the meal. Owners are friendly and take pride in their service and what they serve. Place is small.

Stopped by here for lunch. I got the single chicken dish with arugula greens and coconut rice beans. I felt like the chicken was little dry but I did like the crispness of the chicken skin. Mine was pretty burnt though and that taste came through. The rice was delicious, super moist and I finished all of it! The greens were nothing special. I got the orange sauce, which wasn't spicy at all. Just like it sounds, it was a sweet sauce that paired well with the chicken and rice.

Wowww yummy! I love soul food. This was something different. We ordered then picked up. Parking is street. It's a small place but packed with flavor. I asked for the top sauces. Everything was delicious. I just wish the chicken was a bigger portion. I'm not a huge rice person, so that's why. But loved the sides.

Ok this place is fire. For $11, you can get the most perfect lunch of chicken, rice, salad and fresh sauces. I was a vegetarian for 21 years so I get kinda weird out about eating meat sometimes, by which I mean if I get one bad bite, I'm off chicken for a month +. I was nervous that they serve thigh, as I've had bad experiences in the past, but man! This was hands down the best chicken thigh I've ever eaten. Yum! 10/10 recommend!

They aren't the biggest spot in town nor do they offer the most variety on their menu BUT they di what they do soso well. The Chicken Thighs were as juicy as they come. The rice with red beans was also super delicous. I like how balanced their plates are with the green salad and side slaw and sauces. Also, huge fan of their Coconut Curry. Slightly sweet and reminded me of Japanese curry. Would go for a bowl of that and some thighs next time. Quick and easy. Perfect spot for a nourishing lunch!

I love places that do a few things incredibly well and that is Love Belizean. I could eat this every day.

This is a takeout-first joint, by the look and feel. Decent, if a bit overcooked, chicken. Mushy rice & beans. The salad is fine.

Served with rice and cabbage. All very flavorful and well portioned. Couldn't pass up trying several Pies. The beef patty was solid...but that Jerk Chicken is SOOOOO good, it was the Chicken patty that edged out above the veggie and beef. All were baked with the best patty crust any hand pie could offer. We enjoyed the food on Puerto Rico on our cruise so this was a treat. The restaurant was vibrant with island decor and family photos on the walls. My wife ordered a Mojito and I had a Rum and Coke. The mojito was underwhelming and was missing flavor. On to the food..... I ordered the Mofongo with pork and my wife had the garlic chicken. My meal was moist and tasty along with being filling. The garlic chicken was pounded thin and overcooked, very dry and hard to eat. The accompanying beans, rice and salad were very good. I mentioned the quality or lack of to the waiter (I think was the owner) and he questioned me like I was wrong. No apologies given. I didn't ask for a discount and wasn't given one. All I would have liked was an acknowledgement. We won't be back especially with a food truck park within a quarter mile away with almost 30 assorted trucks.

The culinary experience was truly remarkable, and the customer service was exceptional. The restaurant's location is also highly favorable, contributing to its overall appeal. As a Jamaican who grew up in the Miami neighborhood known as "Little Haiti," I have had ample exposure to Haitian cuisine, particularly griot. My childhood memories include saving my allowance to purchase griot from a Haitian lady's house on Fridays, with the assistance of a neighbor who spoke her language. My first taste of griot occurred when I was 11 years old. I felt compelled to share this background information to establish my credentials in assessing the quality of Haitian cuisine. Tap Tap Cuisine proved to be an exceptional gem in this regard. Plus, my 2 friends who accompanied me are of Haitian background. We all gave it a 10 out of 10! In all areas. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, creating an immediate sense of camaraderie. By the time we departed, we felt like part of the restaurant's extended family. Tap Tap Cuisine operates as a family-run establishment. The ambiance took me back to an island setting. I will most DEFINITELY be back again! If you are in or is visiting the Portland area.
