Food 4/5 - I ordered their version of Thai Basil chicken. The dish was good but a little sweeter than I had anticipated. It also came with chopped zucchini, which I was not the norm but was tasty. Tried this place for the first time today :) had the lunch special pad woon sen and ordered some spring rolls for an appetizer. The service was excellent. I usually like my Thai food with some medium level spice to it but we were never asked how hot we wanted our food. There was no spice at all but they did have some Siracha sauce when we asked for it. The spring rolls were soooo yummy and the pad woon sen was great once I added the siracha. It was a nice little place the seating was great as well. What a quaint place for lunch. I went with a friend and this was her suggestion. We want quiet places so we can catch up. The decor is perfect. The couple who run (own?) it are delightful. The service is great & they want to please you. I had the Pad Thai with vegetables and my friend & I split the mango sticky rice. Love Thai serves their drinks in styrofoam cups, I think to take it "to go?". Their lunch and dinner menu has lots of choices. Not very Thai here. Food was more Asian fusion since their had other Asian dishes. Their iced tea tasted wrong. So wrong that I only had a sip and spit it back into the glass. It tasted like they didn't clean the spout of the tea dispenser combined with their use of extra tappy tap water. Yes, I could not drink iced water either. It was so tappy that i strongly believe they use the same tappy water and musty spigot to make their ice cubes. At this point, I should've gone but I had to try their dishes. Their chicken with eggplant tasted good. But the chicken was significantly disproportionate to the eggplant. Specifically, there were bits of chicken and two whole chopped eggplants in the dish. At least there was enough for two whole bites of chicken. The second dish was sesame chicken. I thought it was going to be a Thai version but I was wrong. The sesame chicken was very Chinese. Yes, I should have gone immediately after swampy iced tea. Yes, I should've told them to change my order to takeout. 1 star for my first and last experience here. It is my opinion that there is no decent Thai restaurant in Boerne, TX. read more

I've gone here previously and didn't enjoy the food. There were some guys running it who were kinda cavalier about food and the food was so so. Just went the other day- this review is just for the Mango and sticky rice- there seems to be new management so I'd like to go by and try the food. Back to the sticky rice- it was pricey- it was 15 and some change for 2 mango and sticky rice before tip. It was really really good. Yum. Also, they put enough coconut milk in so that you got that nice dip with every bite. She also gave us extra mango which was very nice. Will have to review for food next time around! read more

Have been regulars since it was Sarikas. We order from here very regularly, mostly takeout. Wish the seafood red curry had more seafood but that's our favorite. Pad Thai is always delicious as well. Service can be a bit slow inside. Still a Boerne staple. read more

Love Thai The chicken pad Thai lunch was $11.95 and the menu states that it comes with steamed or fried rice. The server told me it didn't apparently. The food came out pretty quick and i realized why later on and presentation was eh. I've never had a pad Thai that was noodles topped with a watery sauce that pooled on the plate. Normally it's cooked with the noodles not just drizzled on top. It looked like noodles that were boiled, put on Plate and then they poured a sauce on top and sprinkled chicken on it. The flavor was okay, not the best but not disgusting, I'd eat it again if I got more for what I paid. The portion was pathetic especially for it not coming with any kind of rice. It was 5 fork twirls at best and 6 pieces of chicken cut into strips. Most Thai places have a lunch special that's the pad Thai, rice, Tom yum soup and an egg roll for $12.95. I have never left a Thai resistant hungry before. Needless to say I'm not going back. At least N's thai gives you a giant portion of food that you borderline have to get a Togo box as soon as it comes out for a $12 lunch. read more

The name has changed but the licenses are under the name of the former Thai restaurant. Service and food is poor. My soup had a large object in it that fortunately, I didn't bite or try to swallow. I pointed it out to the manager who offered me another cup of soup. Why would anyone want more of the same soup? I ordered egg rolls and cashew chicken and 25 minutes later my stomach began to cramp and I was sick for 2 hours. I primarily ate 1 egg roll and a small portion of the cashew chicken. We had an early dinner last night at Love Thai. The place is really nice and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the dumplings and summer rolls and they were terrific! We then had drunken noodles and sesame chicken. Fabulous!!! I lived in Houston for 40 years and this is on par with some of the best Thai places I have enjoyed. We had six of us, several who had never had any Thai food before, so we did a bunch of the entrees and shared between us, and we all left raving about how much we liked all of it. Sad! Sarika's used to be THE place for Thai in San Antonio and when they came to Boerne it was a revelation, but I don't think Boerne was ready for it at the time. As Sarika's grew to multiple locations in San Antonio and Sarika became more absent from her kitchens, the once great food suffered. So much so that this location was re-branded as "Love Thai", probably in an effort to ditch its bad ratings and reputation. It hasn't been good in years. The name may have been changed but it definitely doesn't protect you, the innocent. This is still the lousy Sarika's of late, hiding in plain sight. Our recent take out of Pad Woon Sen, Pad Thai, and spring rolls was nothing short of gawdawful! Lots of boiled but barely stir-fried noodles with almost NO meat, veggies, egg, et cetera, that used to be featured in these dishes. Pretty bland and unappetizing. And crazy expensive for the quality. $40 for two entrees and spring rolls. Which would be acceptable IF it was good. It wasn't. We have a new Thai restaurant on the north end of Boerne which is both stellar and reasonable. In fairness, I won't name it in this review, but search Yelp for "Thai" to find it. I believe that restaurant could be the final nails in Love Thai's coffin...but then again, they don't need any help in that area. Love Thai's food alone should do them in...if it doesn't do that to you first! Avoid! read more
