Prices were pretty reasonable, portions were filling, and service was excellent. When we walked in the place was empty, so there was plenty of seating room. It was very quiet. We ordered food for delivery, so I cannot speak on the inside ambiance or the customer service. I will say the delivery was quick and everything I ordered was accurate. Our meals ended up with two orders of fried rice, which they put into one large container and two orders of steamed rice, which they also put in one large container. This made it a little more difficult to share while on the go. I also ordered the vegetable egg rolls and the lemon chicken. The egg roles were really soggy on the inside and the lemon chicken was like a giant overcooked and chewy chicken patty. I ended up tossing my meal and sharing my husband's Sesame Chicken, which I thought was really good and had a nice flavor to the sauce. They serve you fried wonton with sweet-and-sour sauce as soon as you sit at the table. This was kind of nice. I've never been to a place where they do this. Nice bonus. I ordered the wonton soup. The broth had good flavor however the wonton noodle was very doughy. The lemon chicken was OK, it comes with no sauce. They call it lemon chicken because it has a lemon slice on top. Every time I get to know someone and they know my special order they're gone within a few weeks great food when made to order but they have to do better on employee retention. Recently stopped in when a terrible storm hit -knocking out the power temporarily. It was a bit chaotic when it was time to pay the bill as all the systems were down. Luckily Marley the cashier,who seemed to be acting manager,was great under pressure. That girl should get a raise , ensuring great customer service under such circumstances . For Hill Country Chinese this place is pretty good. The lunch specials can't be beat and the service is pretty good. Traditional Chinese Entrees are available and I must say the Marco Polo Noodle bowl with some Crab Rangoon is my go to. The hot jasmine tea compliments the meal nicely. read more

Had been wanting to try this for quite awhile. Stopped in for some takeout after some hiking. The hostess whose name I did not catch was incredibly helpful as we had a number of questions with our first visit. Prices were quite reasonable. We got the early bird special which had smaller portions but still plenty of food and it includes choice of soup and choice of egg roll. The actual entrees certainly looked to be reasonable priced as well. We got a little of everything. We got wonton soup, chicken corn soup and egg drop soup. Have to say they were all fairly bland. Good but not great. The vegetable egg rolls were fairly nondescript as well. Somewhat small and not much filling. For entrees we got orange chicken, sesame chicken and pork and chicken lo mein. We got a white meat chicken upcharge for the orange and sesame chicken for $1 per entree. The orange chicken had good flavor but I prefer mine done a little more crispy. If I get again I will ask if they can do that. My son really enjoyed the sesame chicken but I did not try any of that. I thought the lo mein overall was tasty and good amount of meat with it. The early bird lo mein even could get a side of fried rice which my wife did and stated was very good. The service for the takeout was very quick. Typical Chinese lunch special type place. They also have a regular menu. No complaints. Good food at great price. I was completely satisfied. The lunch portions are not huge like some people say in Yelp, you must be wafer thin if you have left overs. The owner was constantly giving me refills. Heading back to San Antonio, we stopped here as everything else was closed for Labor Day...VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED by this little gem! The host was pleasant, waitress was very efficient and attentive. The fresh, cold iced tea was better than Bill Miller's by far. The Hot and Sour soup was hot and well flavored with crisp fried noodles on the side. The entrees were generous, flavorful and aesthetically pleasing. The egg rolls, crisp and light. Best Chinese food I've had here even after delivery. The hot/sour soup is great although I prefer more hot and and more sour haha. The generals chicken is amazing and so is the sweet/sour pork. You can tell attention to detail when a place doesn't smother sweet and sour pork in the sauce and send it but rather keep the sweet and sour sauce on the side and let the dish speak for itself. Some of the worst food(not just Chinese food) I've ever eaten. Fried rice was just steamed rice with a few peas thrown in. The dish I ordered was probably made with packaged brown gravy. It had zero garlic, ginger, or other typical flavors used in Chinese cuisine. Totally gross! Wonton soup was pretty good but not enough to save this waste of money.
