Extremely Unprofessional…read more I walked into Uptown Cheapskate and within one minute of entering, some random lady suddenly yelled across the store: "Everyone get out, we fucking close in 5 minutes." At first we assumed she was an employee because of how aggressively she said it. When we realized she wasn't, we called her out on it. Her response? "Yeah, I'm kind of crazy." What made the situation worse was that the actual employees said nothing about her behavior. No one corrected her, asked her to stop, or even acknowledged how inappropriate it was. On top of that, no staff member informed us when we walked in that the store was closing in 5 minutes even though it was over a hour before the website said they closed, which would have avoided the entire situation. Overall it felt chaotic, unprofessional, and uncomfortable. Customers shouldn't be yelled at by random people in the store while staff just stand there and do nothing. Definitely not a great first impression.

I stumbled into the store taking my 3 year old daughter to a local birthday party. I showed my daughter around a bit and the gentleman recommended a specific type of soft ball to get them started not only did he gift my daughter a set of the balls he also was kind enough to gift her a little tokkitennis teddy. As someone who not only knows nothing about tennis but also have had zero exposure in this sport I was blown away with the kindness and thoughtful gesture. I hope my daughter continues to grow interest in this sport and you can be sure I will only shop in this store. If South County Tennis is an example of what people from the Tennis community are like, I looks forward to the great community my daughter will grow up in.
