I paid $60 plus a tip for my nails to get completely destroyed. I called to set up time to have them fixed and I was treated like absolute garbage for coming back. Michelle removed my horrible nails that she had ruined and filed them down so hard with the electric dremel that she was hurting me so badly and drew blood. I was devouring some frozen custard outside of Abbott's, when I looked across the street at Lovely Nails and thought, hey--why not? This nail shop was pretty average, but there were some things that gave me pause. It didn't seem like the most sanitary place in the world, and at the nail drying station they had the pedicure dryers for the hands and manicure dryers for the feet. I guess the dryer thing doesn't matter much, but it seemed a little odd as they say right on them "pedicure," so you're sitting facing this thing for 20 or so minutes with your hands under something that says pedicure. The shop is a little dingy, and if the environment is a little rough around the edges, you have to wonder about their sterilization and cleanliness. I've gotten better manicures more cheaply ($12). The polish application was OK, not great but not terrible. Everything else was a bit hurried and minimal. The pedicures looked a lot more relaxing with the chairs and hot stones. Long story short, if you find yourself standing in front of this place and you want a manicure you might was well try it. Don't go out of your way though. read more

Turns out, Lovely Nails isn't so lovely. My regular nail place was closed for some reason, so I decided to try Lovely Nails. Big mistake! Although not super dirty, the place absolutely reeked of food some of the manicurists were eating just out in the open next to nail tools and supplies. The manicurist I had was fairly unconcerned with my presence and didn't even file my nails! She just removed old polish, plunked my hands in water, and then started clipping cuticles. While the manicure came out (a miracle) the polish application was super thick. This was a one-shot deal and I won't return to Lovely Nails ever again. Rude, dirty, and unfriendly. read more

Don't know why this place is getting many poor reviews. They may not be the smiliest people on earth, but they work very hard. They get the job done. I'm so happy with my pedi and mani - as beautiful as ever. I highly recommend this place. read more

I have had okay experiences here. The service is just average. If you are really looking for a great place Highland Nails Spa is the place to go! It is a new nails place opened this November and the service is more than friendly as they give you an ipad and tea. Very clean and reasonable prices too. I usually prefer to contact the salon directly for this kind of feedback rather than posting it for the public but there's no email address and I can't call during their hours of operation while I am working. I just got a gel manicure with them on Sunday and two of my nails chipped the day after, and almost all of them are chipped now (4 days later). It is so expensive to get the gel and I am really, really disappointed. I do hope that someone can reach out so that I can speak with someone at the salon directly, as I just threw away money on this. read more

RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! I went to Lovely Nails over the weekend and was highly disappointed. The women who work there were incredibly rude. They rolled their eyes numerous times and were very impatient. They never smiled and instead seemed annoyed by the customers. They rushed us along to the point that it made me feel uncomfortable. This might be the WORST place to get your nails done. It's dirty, the owner and other manicurists are SO RUDE...they all speak in that undercurrent of their own language which is completely offensive and you can tell what they're saying about other people is not nice. I'd rather stay at home and do my nails myself. I took my 6 yr old daughter in w/ me to have a manicure for a Mom/Daughter outing and it was disgusting. DID I MENTION THEY ARE RUDE? I happened to get the owner (I didn't ask for her but knew who she was) and my daughter had someone else. Just a GROSS place to get your nails done. I walk in and it is warm inside, outside door open, all of the non-engaged workers slumped over tables feeling the same heat that I was. I was told to pick my color and given a non-verbal cue to sit at a pedicure station. My pedicurist apparently did not speak English. I got an occasional smile. Her work was adequate, not great, but did not make me angry. I was transitioned to a manicurist who, I thought, did not speak English. She did not smile at me, introduce herself, and started to yank my figures around seemingly annoyed that she was working. To break the ice, I said, "Hi." She responded only hi back to me. The rest of this unpleasant experience was her loudly talking Vietnamese to other workers and laughing. She got a cramp in her finger and suddenly spoke English, perfectly, especially when she wanted to me to pay. I'm an immigrant supporter, so this is not about her being Vietnamese, it is about her poor service and rude behavior. I had to pay for 30-minutes of an angry worker pulling at my fingers and acting as if a human was not sitting in front of her. This is supposed to be a luxury service. If that's what you need, do not go to Lovely Nails. You leave with your nails polished and your anger walking away with you. read more

Got a bad infection in my big toe after pedicure. Had to go to podiatrist for procedure to alleviate terrible pain. Missed work for 2 days. After 1 week of antibiotics, I finally started feeling better untilI received an $800 bill from Dr. Called salon to let them know. The owner could have cared less. Barely apologized, offered no complementary services. She couldn't wait to get off the phone. Stay away from this salon!! read more

Needing a pedicure late on Sunday afternoon, I was happy to find Lovely Nails open. The owner (I assume) was very accommodating and took me right away. The pedicure was typical, but I must say that the foot and leg massage was amazing. They even used hot stones! Dilemma: It is the day before Christmas Eve and I desperately need a mani/pedi for the holiday festivities coming up in the next few days. My normal place is booked solid, so I call Lovely Nails first thing in the morning and they are able to take me shortly thereafter. I show up and am immediately put into a pedi chair. They had a great selection of color and I quickly find my annual holiday cranberry colored polish. I have an enjoyable pedi that even includes hot stones. My only complaint is that the water was only lukewarm even when I asked her to make it hotter, but other than that it was nice and relaxing. I was able to sit back and enjoy the down time. The mani was just as nice, but could have used a bit more of a massage. Three days last it still looks wonderful. I was not rushed out of there and I was able to sit at the drying station for maybe four cycles. Mani/pedi was $34 before tip. I will definitely be returning to Lovely Nails for future "me" time. read more
