At first glance the menu seems like the usual: apps, salads, soups, paninis, hot/cold sandwiches. Just start reading the descriptions and you will be in for a pleasant surprise! A great example is one of their gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches called Robots Rock - fig, prosciutto, spinach and goat cheese. My companion had this at our last visit and could not say enough about it! Lovin Cup is vegetarian friendly with several choices! I had a Flat Beat - a veggie panini with grilled zucchini, summer squash, portabello mushrooms,spinach, and sundried tomato pesto, topped with provolone cheese. The panini was perfectly grilled. The mix of flavors was just phenomenal! Their soups are all homemade and available for takeout by the pint. I love the Tomato, Spinach, Feta soup! Service has been topnotch every time we've been. The atmosphere is a lot of fun. We usually go on Tuesdays which is open mic night. The decor is very cool.....metal sculpted tables and student artwork throughout. Our waitress was rude and could give a crap about serving us. took our order, gave me my beer, didn't ask if i wanted a glass, i actually did. not going to review the food because we only got some simple snacks which were fine. but the blue cheese dressing was bad. watery, bland and no visible signs of blue cheese anywhere. Also we ordered nachos only to be told they were out of chips???? odd, early on a Saturday night, really? After about 20 minutes a really nice guy came over to let us know the waitress left abruptly, my guess, fired or quit. He was our waiter for the rest of the evening and he was great. My favorite coffee shop in Henrietta this place really has a lot to offer. Great food, drinks (including alcoholic beverages), and atmosphere. The metal sculpture behind the bar is amazing. The artwork is interesting and constantly changing. The owner and manager are really friendly. They are constantly having bands and events there to keep the place lively. The only thing I can really say bad about it is that it can get loud and it isn't a really cosy type of coffee shop like somewhere such as javas is. So if you are looking for somewhere quiet to study, look elsewhere. read more

Lovin' Cup is a great place to go with a few friends even on a week night for some live entertainment, good food, and good selection of drinks. Pizza, sandwiches, soups, salads, and panini's. There could be a little more seating. I love the food, it's fresh and delicious. Their menu items have crazy/cute names, which makes the dining experience interesting and fun as well. They have live music, contests, and comedians weekly. I only had one experience where we waited a VERY long time for a waitress to come over after we sat down, and it was NOT busy. Without a doubt, this is one of the more exceptional places that I have been to in Rochester! They always have fun events occurring and are friendly to outsiders and students! Every server I have ever gotten was fun, upbeat, considerate, and patient! There took their time to understand my preferences and assisted me with ordering the right food! They're salads are absolutely STUPENDOUS! Eat the Asian one! It's like a party in my mouth! All I wanted to do was dance but that could be due to the awesome live band behind me! I've been to Lovin' Cup twice now. The first time just to have some wine. The second time I went with friends. None of us knew that there was a live show going on. So we were seated in the back which was fine. But after sitting for 45 minutes, seeing plenty of servers attending the other tables, I started to feel really unwelcome. After about an hour and 20 minutes, the server finally made an appearance and provided us with mediocre service. I haven't been back since. read more

Now that I like coffee I can say that their espresso is the best I've had so far. I haven't tried the small coffee shops in Rochester yet, but in West Henrietta I think this is best. It's the most like I've had in Italy. Not extremely lemony like the espresso from whole foods but also not overly watery like starbucks. It's a dark roast which is the type I love. This is my FAVORITE bar in the entire world right now. I have been coming here since it first opened. I am a "local" at this place. The environment is great, the managers are AMAZINGLY friendly, the food is REALLY good (their trademark is the "hot for teacher" sandwich -a must try if you go here for food), and their beer/wine is always great. They have a really good beer selection and a good wine selection. They do events every day at this bar, and there is never a boring moment here. THUMBS UP ALL THE WAY. I travel all over NY and PA for work, continually finding great places to eat and imbibe. However, there's Lovin Cup, and everything else. Yes, it's nice that their name also is my favorite Stones tune, but that's a small part of it. Vibe is open and airy, and not too loud, service is always on point, Tip (all the time, Fife), drinks are flowing and right on, right on...and then there's the food. I'm been in and out several times, and made my way around the menu, and was never disappointed. Grain bowl, burgers, ramen, wraps, and won't share my fav soup of the day because it already sells out too often. I came here because I wanted something cuter and trendier than Panera. But, the coffee is terrible. And service mediocre.

Pretty good food at reasonable prices. But their seating sucks -- 4 or 5 booth on risers with tables that are too wide. the rest of the seating is a half dozen standard square tables and another dozen round high tables with high seats. The way the places is laid out, people sitting in the booths or at the tables have their view of the stage blocked by the high tables. As if that weren't bad enough, the sound system also sucks. All of the stage sound comes from 2 speakers above the stage almost at ceiling level. Apparently whoever designed the sound system couldn't figure a way to run the stage sound through the various music speakers scattered throughout the place. Bring ear plugs and you might just be able to make out what the bands are singing! read more

I have gone to Lovin' Cup a total of 4 times over the course of the past 2 years or so and I'd like to start with the positive. The decor of the place is fantastic, just my style. Love the metal sculptures and designs around the place, creates a very artistic look. I live very close by and love the look because not many places in Henrietta have the eclectic look I love. That being said, it's the only nice thing about this place. The first and 2nd time my husband and I went for lunch, we were told they were out of our choice. They were also out of my second choice as well. I wasn't happy at all but they do have a huge menu selection and I didn't spend a lot of time picking my #3 choice but still very disappointing. Very very bad service if you are always running out of items and before dinner even starts. I have heard others saying they have tried ordering and were told they didn't have anymore left that day. Their excuse was that they were re-doing their menu which I have yet to see different in the past year. The third time we decided to try them again. We waited for 15+ mins for the waiter to come until I asked the hostess if they forgot about us. The waiter came over right after that and did NOT even apologize and just asked what we'd like to drink. It then took them 5=10 minutes to even come back with water. They gave us an attitude and we just left. The 4th, and LAST time I might add we stopped by to order to go. We asked the hostess for a menu and she pointed to the bar and said she was too busy but the bartender could help. I started getting annoyed again but we went to the bar and waited for a min or two until the bartender asked us if we wanted menus. She proceeded to help two other separate parties waiting for drinks and still didn't even reach for the menus within sight of her. It was NOT busy in the bar at all I might add. We just left. Time after time we've given this place chances because we live close by and really hoped it was in our heads. Sadly I'll never step foot in the horrible place and tell everyone I know not to waste their time because of the horribly rude customer service provided by all staff there as well of never stocking their kitchen properly. read more

I've never had better cocktails in my life. Personal preference is The Sazerac. I've known one of the bar tenders there for a while, if you get Andrew you're in luck - he makes the best drinks there. Besides that, the appreciation they have for music (local, regional & national) is amazing. You can always find a great show there. My husband and I discovered Lovin' Cup not that long ago and wish we had sooner. Their Chai Teas- hot or iced- are excellent. They have a large beer selection and the food is great and at a good price. We have had some of their sandwiches and wraps, all with clever names, which were great. I love everything about this place. I love it more and more every time I go. Events: I personally think they hold the best events in Rochester. Their beer tasting events are unbeatable... especially at the price of 25-35$. The live bands are usually fantastic. The crowd is usually diverse, passionate, people. My company had an event once and had a section of the bar for drinks and food for us with awesome staff to keep us stocked the whole night. Food: Great food, bar food, salad, sophistication, whatever you want they have it. Drinks: Excellent always. Their bar backdrop is always mesmerizing to look at and there is always a great selection of beer. (I can tell the owner takes beer very seriously) I don't know about other drink options because I only drink beer. Atmosphere/staff: usually great staff who are knowledgeable and friendly. The space is dim with a hipster/modern/decorative vibe that I cant quite describe but I love. The live bands give it a great twist. Nutshell: If you haven't been, check it out. Love the environment! While I waited for my dinner guest, I got a drink at the bar- he was helpful and good with suggesting drinks. He went out of his way to seat us outdoors and tell us the specials-I thought he was our waiter- unfortunately he wasn't . We had a gal who was slow and forgot to bring drinks or at least it seemed so because she would return to the table once or twice without drinks. The fried pickles were good and hot. Our salads were heavy on the white spine part of the romaine. For the less than fab salads and the slow service we lowered the stars. I've been here before and would have given higher marks.
