They had me leave the dogs for a daycare for a few hours free of charge to see if they would get along with the other pups and they did great! The owner really knows how to introduce dogs to each other safely and with minimal stress. We receive pictures of the pups having a great time almost daily and upon request. We're so lucky to have them so close to home! They really took great care of our dogs and they got lots of play time with other pups. The price was also very competitive. I 100% recommend them and I hope you don't waste your time and/or money with some of the price gouging facilities that don't actually care for your dog. Once I found Walk ATX it took me a while to get in contact with someone, called a couple times, left a voicemail, sent a couple emails -to no avail! Sent a dm on insta as a last resort and finally got in contact with someone! Yay! Erika helped me set up my account and went over daycare. Dropped my pup off for his first day! First impressions matter to me and as someone who is nervous I would have loved to see them greet my dog. Instead the woman at the front ( not sure her name - mullet - immediately went into a quick " take off the leash. What's his name? You'll get an update at 11" And then I watched her usher him straight to the backyard. No saying hi to the dog, no convo with me, no easing his nerves, no questions about him, no petting him, no introductions, nothing. I didn't love that, especially since it was our first time and it made me much more nervous to drop him off there. Around 11:00 I started to look for updates, none. Tried to call 3 times, no answer. Again this is his first day so not hearing anything on how he was doing and getting no photos - nerves then rose to an all time high. People are allowed to have bad days so will update this after a few more times. Just know the first day is not as informative or warm may not be as warm as you'd expect.

It is difficult to find a doggy boarding/day care that provides such well rounded, holistic approach to pet care. We have used Walk ATX for boarding, day camp with pick up and drop off included, and for in home check ins with walks. As well as their add-ons like baths and fun photoshoots. Mo is a party animal - we are constantly training, working with him and we fill all of his needs. Yet he is an energetic, happy 2.5yo rescue from Austin Pets Alive. He is a foster win actually. He's always soooo excited when he realizes he's about to get dropped off at Walk ATX and he's welcomed with big smiles and a huge "Hi Mo!!!!!" by the passionate and hard working staff. Walk ATX does pack walks, outdoor playtime in their yard with staff assigned to different groups of dogs. I love that there's constant supervision and a structured day. Including rest/down time, which is just as important as to not overstimulate the doggos. It seems as if Walk ATX has only gotten better over the years. They've incorporated training, special add-ons, and cool adventures. Last time Mo stayed with them while we were in Costa Rica, Britton and the team were super attentive (Mo was on limited activity for the first few days per our vet), and even called to give an update, in addition to their daily updates via email and on their app "Time to Pet". I know Mo is cared for and looked after by a group of caring animal lovers.

The most telling thing for us, as we (pre-Covid) travel a lot, is that when we come home, all worried, the two dogs, cat and turtle are all completely relaxed, yawning, chill. They LOVE their Auntie Catherine. She knows medicines and can give. She once stayed at our house with a dog that got ill that day while we were gone, until 11pm. We have used her service for 14 years. She rescues all kinds of animals including a donkey at her nearby farm. Very awesome person, we're lucky to have her, but our furr (and scale) babies are the really lucky ones.

An important message that I sent was missed, which led to my cat's waste collecting over a period of days in the tub, and with my cat eventually peeing on my bed (he is beyond hygienic and selective with where he goes to the bathroom). Even with the missed message, I would think their noses would lead them to the tub? It absolutely stank when I got home (there was also dried cat vomit in the bathroom - I just live in a studio). And I then had to spend hours washing everything on my bed, getting Urine Destroyer, etc... really not ideal after getting home from a trip. This is in addition to lights being left on, pill pocket pack not sealed after use, and litter and garbage preferences not followed. Also, I would have preferred they contacted me when my cat decided not to eat his medicine the first day, than to decide how to handle it on their own, although their idea wasn't a bad one. They are perfectly nice people but I would say that if your cat requires anything beyond basic care (throw food in a bowl and scoop box), look elsewhere. Details and communication are important. I communicated some of this to the company and they offered me a free visit in the future, which I thought was a bit presumptuous. They did play with him and actually spend time with him (instead of feeding and dashing), which is something I do appreciate.

They left our Patio balcony door- we live on the third floor in an apartment WIDE open with our cat who can clearly open the screen door that was slightly open. That is SO dangerous. We have a ragdoll who don't have much reflexes and he could fall and die from such a height, or even escape or jump out and seriously injure himself. They left the door open and left the keys inside with no way to get back in while we were on vacation. Then we got one text saying they left this door open and we were shocked when we checked our pet camera. This is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable. The only apology we got from this horrendous accident was "i apologize." She didn't call once, and if we hadn't seen this text message promptly i feel as though she wouldn't even have cared and went on their day. DO NOT TRUST YOUR BELOVED PET WITH THESE PEOPLE. You've been warned!!! This was over memorial day weekend and nobody was even in the leasing office to help which is super scary. Bad experience overall from a pet sitting company we've been trusting for awhile now which is so disappointing. I can see now they don't care about pets.

Dr. Rob walked me through his treatment rationale. We had a real discussion about the best course of treatment instead of the typical take-it-or-leave-it approach you get at most facilities. Unlike some of our experiences with other veterinarians in Austin, we never feel rushed. We truly appreciate the care and attention he gives to both us and our cat Reishi. Dr. Rob performed oral surgery to remove several of Reishi's teeth. It was the first major surgery we had experienced with her. He was extremely patient with our questions, took wonderful care of her, and guided us through the entire process. Reishi healed very quickly and had no postoperative complications, which we were especially grateful for after hearing about friends whose pets experienced infections and other issues following similar procedures elsewhere. Recently, Reishi had a cancer scare after an alarming initial assessment at an emergency vet. We were quite stressed. When we brought her to see Dr. Rob, he first acknowledged what we had been through and made us feel heard and cared for before discussing the next steps. He even emailed us with test results and next steps while he was on a family vacation, which showed us how deeply he cares about his patients. Fortunately, further testing showed that Reishi did not have cancer. Going through such a stressful experience felt much more manageable knowing that Reishi was under Dr. Rob's care. He is compassionate, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in both his patients and their families. Unfortunately, we are moving out of state and will have to find a new veterinarian. We truly hope we can find a clinic as wonderful as ATX Animal Clinic. It is the best veterinary clinic we have ever had, and we are incredibly grateful to Dr. Rob and the entire team.

As soon as I entered, the older gentleman behind the counter looked directly at me and then immediately turned away without saying a word. He wasn't helping anyone at the time. I walked around the store for a while and noticed a young woman cleaning items nearby. Not once did she greet me or ask if I needed help. When I was looking at the driftwood display, she walked by, so I asked a question. She gave me what felt like a dirty look, gave a very quick answer, and walked away. I initially thought maybe she was busy helping other customers, but that didn't seem to be the case. What made the experience worse was what happened next. While I was still browsing near the entrance, several other customers walked in. Every single one of them was greeted by the gentleman behind the counter. I hate to even bring this up, but it left me wondering why my experience was so different. I'm a Hispanic male with tattoos, and every other customer who was greeted appeared to be white with no visible tattoos. I truly hope that wasn't the reason, but I honestly can't think of another explanation for the difference in treatment. Either way, it was disappointing. I had specifically chosen to visit a local specialty shop because I wanted the advice and expertise that comes with it. Instead, I left feeling unwelcome and will likely just go to a big box store instead--something I was hoping to avoid. I hope this isn't the normal experience for customers, but it was certainly mine today.

From the second we arrived, Dr. Pearson and the entire care team--Megan, Ethan, and Nicole (the CEC)--were absolutely incredible. They provided top-tier medical care for our girl, but what I appreciated most was how they handled my wife and me. We were in a total state of panic, and they stayed calm, kept us informed, and treated us with so much empathy. It's rare to find a team that can balance high-level emergency medicine with such genuine bedside manner. Dr. Pearson is a total pro, and the nursing staff made us feel like our pup was their only priority. If you're in the Austin area and find yourself in a pet emergency, this is the only place I'd trust.

Lisa is fantastic! I moved to Austin around 10 months ago without having the usual friends, family, vet that I relied on so much before when traveling to take care of my two senior dogs. I came across one of Lisa's ads and gave her a call to set up an appt to meet. My dogs immediately took to her. I've utilized her dog walking services on a regular basis ever since when traveling for work. My dogs seem perfectly content when I get home. She is great to work with, very flexible with her schedule (great for business travelers who often have delayed flights or extended business trips at the last minute) and she'll treat your pets as her own. I feel completely confident in her services when I go out of town and never have to worry about my dogs safety or well being. I know with her they are getting the best of the best when it comes to pet sitters. Lisa is truly the best dog sitter we could ever imagine! She has been taking care of our mini dachshund, Birdie, since she was about 8 months old, and we couldn't be more grateful for her. Birdie is extremely attached to us, but the second Lisa pulls up, she runs straight to her car because she is so excited to go with her! Birdie absolutely loves spending time with Lisa and her dog, Daisy. Lisa takes her to the park, gives her so much love and attention, and always sends us the sweetest photos of Birdie smiling and having the best time with her dog friends. We joke that we're convinced Birdie has more fun with Lisa than she does at home! Having someone we trust this much with Birdie gives us so much peace of mind whenever we're away. I am new to the Austin area and needed to make a trip back home to KY for my nephews birth. I have a small, two year old Calico cat named Rumple. I contacted Loving Pet Care and was immediately responded to with information on who would be available during the dates I would be gone. Beth contacted me directly and we set up a time to meet, she was very nice and Rumple loved her! She gathered a lot of information to make sure Rumple got the care she needed. While I was away, I got constant updates from Beth on how Rumple was doing. She sent me several pictures each visit and texted me updates on what was going on. She even vacuumed and swept the kitchen for me! It was an amazing experience and I will for sure use these services again in the future! I've been using Lisa's services for over a year, and in summary she is absolutely the BEST! I travel a lot with work, and I used to worry about finding someone to check in on my kitties. Each time I left, I felt guilt about leaving the cats and about asking someone to help out. But, no more! I found out about Lisa, and I haven't worried since. She is very professional, reliable, and great with my pets. On our first meeting, she learned about what each pet's favorite toys are. She texts or emails about how they are doing while I'm away. As others have mentioned, if she detects something unusual (A/C too cold, heat too low), she will fix it or check with me. I can't believe how fast this industry--professional pet sitters-- has grown. So many services have opened up. So many options. The reasons I like Lisa's Loving Pet Care are: 1. Overnight pet sitting in my home. It's critical for me that my dog is able to stay in his own comfortable environment. Plus you get the added benefit of someone looking after your home while you are away. 2. My dog likes Lisa. And it is always Lisa and only Lisa that comes. I can't deal with a "team" of pet sitters. I need to know who is looking after my dog and ensure I build that relationship. 3. Lisa is running a business. This is not a hobby or parttime gig. Therefore, Lisa is a professional. She is not only a wonderful responsible pet sitter but a genuine person who is professional and really cares. Lisa has been taking care of my sweet Roxy for the past two years whenever I need to go out of town. I don't feel comfortable taking Roxy to a boarding facility, and feel that she's much happier at home. Lisa goes above and beyond what is expected! Not only does she feed my dog and my bird and walk Roxy twice daily, but she also just hangs out and plays games with her. She also waters my plants, brings in the newspaper, and takes the garbage to the street and back. She sends me text messages and photos that make me feel less lonesome. She is just so wonderful! I've been using LLPC for over a year or so and I've always been very happy with the great service. Jennifer takes care of my 2 very shy cats and she's made a big effort to get them comfortable with her. She seems to have been successful; they come out for her, let her pet them (she sends texts with pix of her petting them), and when I come home they're not stressed out. She stays overnight when she's available and I know they're in great hands. I get anxious about leaving them, but knowing she'll be there for them really relieves my mind. Toni visited and stayed overnight with my elderly golden retriever Rufus numerous times during his final months. It's impossible to overstate Toni's role in making Rufus comfortable. During their first meeting, they established a close connection, and Rufus adored her to the very end. Toni knew all his meds and administered them properly. Lisa is so fantastic with my dogs! I travel a lot for work and I never worry while I'm gone. I get updates from her after every visit. She has really taken the time to get to know my dogs' personalities and they love her walks! She is great about keeping in touch with me and with scheduling. I highly recommend her. Lisa is great and I trust her completely with my two cats. She is very friendly, detail oriented, flexible, and prepared. I am always a little nervous leaving my pets with someone for the first time but she made me feel so much better. She would send me a text or e-mail whenever she had gone by to visit and would give me updates. Lisa is just wonderful! We are very very picky about our dog-sitters and we feel so lucky to have found Lisa. Our westie loves being at her home when we are away and he gets so excited to see her and her home when we drop him off. She takes him on more walks and playdates than we do! I highly recommend Loving Pet Care! Lisa has taken care of my two maltipoos for almost ten years now. She takes them on walks and is always sending me photos and videos. But what I love the most is watching my dogs when she comes to pick them up. They're so excited to see her! It's like they know they're going on vacation, too. Lisa has been taking great care of our sugar gliders when we leave town. She sends us daily photo updates which calm our nerves and brighten our days, she follows our directions to the "t", and is always sure to get back in touch with us when we have a question. These guys are amazing!! Donna brought two of my pups to my wedding and then she took them back after the ceremony. She even stayed to walk them around to meet and greet with guests! An important message that I sent was missed, which led to my cat's waste collecting over a period of days in the tub, and with my cat eventually peeing on my bed (he is beyond hygienic and selective with where he goes to the bathroom). Even with the missed message, I would think their noses would lead them to the tub? It absolutely stank when I got home (there was also dried cat vomit in the bathroom - I just live in a studio). And I then had to spend hours washing everything on my bed, getting Urine Destroyer, etc... really not ideal after getting home from a trip. This is in addition to lights being left on, pill pocket pack not sealed after use, and litter and garbage preferences not followed. Also, I would have preferred they contacted me when my cat decided not to eat his medicine the first day, than to decide how to handle it on their own, although their idea wasn't a bad one. They are perfectly nice people but I would say that if your cat requires anything beyond basic care (throw food in a bowl and scoop box), look elsewhere. Details and communication are important. I communicated some of this to the company and they offered me a free visit in the future, which I thought was a bit presumptuous. They did play with him and actually spend time with him (instead of feeding and dashing), which is something I do appreciate.

They left our Patio balcony door- we live on the third floor in an apartment WIDE open with our cat who can clearly open the screen door that was slightly open. That is SO dangerous. We have a ragdoll who don't have much reflexes and he could fall and die from such a height, or even escape or jump out and seriously injure himself. They left the door open and left the keys inside with no way to get back in while we were on vacation. Then we got one text saying they left this door open and we were shocked when we checked our pet camera. This is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable. The only apology we got from this horrendous accident was "i apologize." She didn't call once, and if we hadn't seen this text message promptly i feel as though she wouldn't even have cared and went on their day. DO NOT TRUST YOUR BELOVED PET WITH THESE PEOPLE. You've been warned!!! This was over memorial day weekend and nobody was even in the leasing office to help which is super scary. Bad experience overall from a pet sitting company we've been trusting for awhile now which is so disappointing. I can see now they don't care about pets.
