Lori from Loving Pet Care watched my two cats for five days over the Christmas holidays. This was the first time that I've used a cat sitter, and it was a great experience! She took a lot of notes during the initial meet-n-greet and was very communicative while we were out of town. She visited the cats around the same time every day and sent me texts and Instagram "snaps" of what they were up to. Lori was very good with the cats. I could tell from the videos and photos that even my shy cat liked her! As an added bonus, Lori printed out several photos of the cats and left them for us; she got some great shots of them (especially the hyper one, who is hard to photograph)! My husband and I went out of town for Thanksgiving, leaving our four cats behind. All of them are very finicky eaters, and are all set up on different diets- Lisa was incredible when dealing with this! She was able to maintain their feeding schedules and made sure everyone was getting their fill. At the beginning of the semester, my school schedule was overwhelming and I really thought that I was going to have to leave my dog with my mom. Luckily, I found Lisa. Based on previous Yelp reviews, I decided to contact her and see if she could help me out. She was quick to respond and we met for an initial consultation the next day. Since then, my dog has been going to Lisa's house every week. Knowing how unpredictable my school schedule can be, Lisa is flexible and always makes sure Winston is cared for. I honestly don't know what I would do without her! To say Winston loves to go to Lisa's house would be an understatement. He waits for the moment I place his daycare bag by the door and anxiously follows me around my apartment until I am ready to leave. When we pull up to Lisa's house, he goes completely nuts. He cries, barks, and will do just about anything to get out of the car so he can run up to Lisa. The best part is that Lisa is just as excited to see him. It is really great to have found someone who loves and cares for my dog so much. Being the overprotective parent I am, it means a lot to say I trust Lisa 100% with Winston. Lisa understands how important our pets are to us and treats them like they are her own. I couldn't ask for a better petsitter! So, both Winston and I recommend Lisa for those days when you are just too busy and don't want to leave your pet home all day. Let me start by saying that I AM the crazy dog lady.I have cameras throughout my house,inside & out, because my dogs are my treasures.Willie was the person assigned to our house, and my husband and I couldn't be happier with his professionalism & care of our dogs. We left him 2 full pages of instructions for feeding and meds for our 4 dogs. My dogs are all senior males and range in weight from 10lbs to 150lbs. Willie followed all of my instructions (I checked- I have cameras- crazy dog lady, remember?) & was open to suggestions and feedback. We've hired him 3 different times, the most recent bring our 11 day trip to Spain.He has gone above & beyond every time & cared about my travels being stress-free by knowing my dogs were in good hands, sending photos every day, & even making sure we made our flights home before leaving (who does that?). Lisa has been walking our maltipoo Nelly for about the last 1.5 years 3 days per week and does an amazing job. I was very worried about leaving my cat Arthur for a week when he has never spent any extended time away from my boyfriend and I since he was 3 weeks old but after having Kimberly watch him while we were away I have no worries any more! So, I travel a lot and I've used pet sitting services in several communities, but this was by far my best experience. I have a blind, vocal male cat named Luther, and Donna got along incredibly well with him (I actually thought they might run off together).The first thing to know about Donna Lou is that she's ridiculously overqualified-she is a singer and comedian of no small talent, and she regularly sent me (hilarious) photos and videos of my cat. In addition to being delightfully creative and entertaining, she was very generous with her time-a rough thunderstorm hit while she was over on Memorial Day Weekend, and she stayed with Luther for a good hour until it passed because he was anxious (blind cats aren't fond of loud noises). Honestly, I wish I could pack her up and take her to the next town I'll be working in. She's good people, and I feel very lucky to have found her. I found a second home for my kids! I recently moved to Austin from Dallas and needed to find someone who would board my Frenchies. We all met at her place and it was an instant success despite the fact that one of my dogs broke one of her porcelain figures and the other marked a foot stool. Our little Yorkie Leo had ruptured a disk and had to undergo serious surgery. We were able to schedule our lives fine for about the first 4 weeks post-op, but eventually had to travel again. He was somewhat healed, but still could not got to a regular run & play doggie day care place. We called Lisa and she watched over Leo like a mother hen for the entire week that we were out of state. I can't make promises on her behalf, but we even got text photos of him walking in the park. She has a big standard poodle who is the most gentle dog. Great with our little 4 pound guy...
