Stopped by LowBrau on a Monday night and it ended up being a whole vibe. Got there around 9, looked like there might be a cover because of the line but we didn't pay anything. They scan IDs, check bags and do pat downs which made it feel pretty secure. Inside there's a bar straight ahead with tables on both sides. Bartenders were fast and friendly even as it got crowded. I asked for Don Julio Cristalino but they didn't have it. We also got a peach drink, can't remember the name but it was more sweet than anything and didn't really taste like alcohol. As the night went on it got packed and definitely felt more like a club. Music, lights, people dancing, it was a vibe. The restroom setup could use some improvement, very little privacy and you can see into the stall from outside and vice versa, plus they share the sink so it gets crowded. Also just a heads up there is an automatic 15% gratuity added. Didn't try the food this time but I'd come back and try it. Overall a good time, fast service, good energy, just wish the drinks were a little stronger. I'd definitely recommend it for a night out.

Lowbrau in Midtown Sacramento is straight-up a vibe. Parking can be a bit of a challenge depending on the time of day, but I've never had to park more than a couple of blocks away--totally manageable. The crowd is one of my favorite parts. It's a mix of ages and personalities, which gives the place a really welcoming, energetic feel. Add in a solid beer selection, and it's easy to settle in and stay awhile. We ordered a variety of sausages--Polish, spicy andouille, and bratwurst--and all of them delivered. Super flavorful, perfectly cooked, and exactly what you want with a cold beer. We also tried the LB burger and the spicy chicken sandwich, both of which were excellent and paired really well with the drinks. I'm not usually a big beer person, but even I found something I enjoyed--a light blonde that was crisp and easy to drink. Prices are reasonable for the quality and experience, and overall, it's just a fun place to hang out with friends. The only downside: it gets loud. Definitely not the spot for deep conversations, but perfect if you're there to eat, drink, and enjoy the energy with friends. I'll definitely be back.

Its a great spot for pregaming and bites. Few of our friends were bar hopping and stopped here for a drink. Theres no fee to enter however the hostess checked our ID. LowBrau is modern, with a rustic atmosphere and have a variety of craft beer selection. Place was big and had a lot of seating. I'm not a beer drinker so didn't order beer but wouldn't mind trying next time. Tonight we all order old fashioned & wild turkey whisky shot! Tables were moved as the DJ was getting ready to set up for the night. We didn't stay long enough to e what genre of music was played. Next time for sure.

I have been enjoying LowBrau on and off again for years now. I stopped in recently and of course there was a lively event such as a pub crawl going on. I feel like LowBrau often has events or festivities happening which is pretty cool. I enjoy the drinks, food and ambiance of this bar in the Lavender District. The servers are attentive and kind. They treat their customers right. If you are looking for a good time, check out LowBrau.

Came here Sunday evening and they were on the quieter side. We placed an order on the counter and seated ourselves. The place is pretty big. We ordered Bavarian pretzel, popcorn chicken and chicken sandwich. Food came out in a timely manner. The sandwich was crispy and juicy. It got a bit messy so be careful =P. Pretzel was soft in the inside. Popcorn chicken was good but nothing special about it. Self serve water station.

LowBrau is a staple for a night out. Depending on when you go you'll get a different experience. Some nights they have house music, electric music, pop music, etc.. Depending on the dj and the night you may get a lot of people dancing or it might feel kinda dead. Their themed dance nights are so fun and I think when they are busier. Motown Monday gets very very packed but the music is made for dancing and the energy is great for meeting new people. I've enjoyed all the drinks I've gotten here but my go tos are their ciders and the bees knees cocktail. The only food I've had here is their fries which are tasty so I'll have to check out the food menu sometime. Definitely come check it out on your next night out or if you wanna sit on the patio during the next nice weather day with your friends. The patio is also dog friendly and the location is so convenient.

Surprisingly I've never left a review for lowbrau despite being there 30+ times for late night weekends, which is always a really fun time & such a social atmosphere, with all the picnic style tables, DJ's and great layout!!! Their sausages are fabulous & flavorful. I love the spicy andouille the best, and with the toppings (caramelized onion, jalapeño, hot chilis). They have this new Hazy IPA beer by Original Pattern called Not velvet but cashmere & it was soooooo good! Recommended by the bartender, we were highly impressed. She was also so sweet & all the workers were great & attentive. Such a dog spot, which we adore :) Really fun to come by and sit outside while the Saturday midtown farmers market is happening, a great place to people watch and hear live music on the street! Love you lowbrau!

The food has been mid for awhile. Since they stopped a rotation of sausages the menu has remained pretty stale. Every once in awhile you can come across the nicer happy hour or brunch special. Lowbrau is for the beers and the atmosphere.

Lowbrau is a staple for the girls night out. The music is always hitting, drinks are always great, and vibes are always on point. The cocktails are delicious and reasonably priced. The cider is also top notch. I recommended the white linen cocktail or Nitty Smile cider. No matter what, you will enjoy the night at Lowbrau!

I have been here a handful of times...but I had to take a minute to post a review about the completely amazing service we received yesterday. We walked in around 6:15pm - unfortunately happy hour just ended. Our bartender Lynsey was the most welcoming and gave us food and drink menus. She was very efficient in making the drinks as well. Her attention to detail was insane. She noticed we were ordering a chicken sandwich to share so she asked if we wanted it cut in half, then she also offered us Waters before we took our drinks to go find a table to sit down. She just had so many good vibes and made the experience a great one. I ordered the Wifey cocktail which was pure deliciousness and bf ordered a Paloma which he thought was great too. Our hot chicken sandwich was quite tasty, but messy - definitely glad they brought us forks and extra napkins. The duck fat fries were so good and their house made ranch - out of this world. I liked the time we went too and it wasn't too crowded inside. I had been a few times before and have enjoyed drinks on the patio, a friend's birthday dinner, and their nightlife scene. All positive experiences. Bathrooms aren't bad either. Will definitely recommend this place to others and take visiting friends here. Thank you LowBrau!

    Ask the Community - LowBrau

I recently visited and found a 15% "Health and Wellness charge" on my check. Is this a disguised mandatory tip, some kind of tax, or something else?

I saw something like this on my check too. They called it an "Auto Gratuity" which defeats the purpose of a gratuity and makes it a service charge. Either way, they should have notified you in advance about the charge. It's a shady business…

    Do they do bottomless mimosas?

No bottomless ones but they serve a Megamosa which is basically half a bottle of champagne.

What time does the kitchen close?

    Kitchen closes at 10 Su-Th and 11 Fri/Sat

Is this Low Brau at all child friendly or should we avoid? Is it walking of Sheraton 1230 J?

Its a bit of a walk from the Sheraton hotel but manageable! Kids are welcome during the day not at night!

Food: I ordered the farmers market salad and requested to sub goat cheese for the blue cheese and they were able to accommodate it. The salad was very good with lots of toppings. My only complaint was that the grilled chicken I added on was a bit dry and maybe I would've liked less dressing (it came tossed already). I also fried my son's kid's grilled cheese with French fries and the fries were awesome. Super crispy and flavorful. The grilled cheese was basic, but good. My husband got the cluck and crown chicken sandwich and said the chicken was also slightly overcooked and portion size of the protein was small, but the other toppings like avocado and bacon still made it worthwhile. He enjoyed the sweet potato fries drizzled with honey.

Maybe if they were USA or more popular teams it would have been different. There were 4 people in the couch area, it was cozy so we didn't join them, but that was were the action was. No one in the bar area where we sat was into the game Seating- We arrived around 1pm just as the game was starting. The bar was nearly empty. Two parties were there sitting at the bar. One group had around 7 people, all in A's Jersey's. The A's were playing that evening at 7pm so these people were getting the party started early. We sat on one of the couple high tops. There was a tv right above us and was impossible. To see from our angle. There ware 2 TVs above the bar. One kept going in and out due to no signal, but the other one help up. We turned our chairs to face the tv so it was a great seating arrangement. The sound was not on for the TV so you just had to follow the game visually. Food- It's a pub so it's all pub food. My husband didn't want anything fried so that eliminated the fish and chips. That left us with a salad or a burger We got the pub burger for $21. It seemed kind of steep, but you're in a tourist area so that explains it. The burger was extra juicy at medium so that was good. It did lack flavor. It does help that it had pickles on it. That gave it some flavor. The onions were flavorless, but looked grilled. The menu doesn't say it, but it comes with fries. The fries needed more salt, but dipping them in ketchup helped the flavor. Now reading other reviews it looks like we could have gotten a side salad instead of fries. I guess we could have asked, but we didn't know it came with fries so we didn't ask for a subsitute. Bathroom- They had really nice bathrooms. You didn't have to go out side to the public restrooms. That was a plus especially since my burger was extra juicy and I needed to wash them. Parking- It's all street parking out front. Old Sacramento also has two garages that aren't that far. Depending on the day and the events that are gong on you you either pay by the day or by the hour. And don't lose your ticket as then you have to pay the maximum. If you are looking for a sit down place with pub food you've found your destination. This is one of the newer restaurants in Old Sacramento that isn't a white tablecloth type of restaurant. Which was a perk, because we weren't looking for fine dining this time. Actually we are never looking for fine dining when we go to Old Sacramento. The place was very clean and put off the new vibe. It's very nicely decorated. They even have a red telephone booth, a great place for pics.

I don't come often enough to even know what's regular anymore. I don't eat meat, but I did have my Guinness so no harm done. The location is super convenient since it's within walking distance of the movie theater. We decided to skip the games this visit. Nothing really caught our attention, but maybe next time we'll give them a try. Instead, we grabbed a couple of seats at the bar and started with some shots. I ordered the Mexican Candy shot, and my girl got a Green Tea shot. My Mexican Candy shot was really good, it had a great balance of alcohol and flavor. It had just the right amount of sweetness and sourness without being overpowering. For food, I ordered the Beef Barbacoa Quesadilla, which came with pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream. My girl ordered the pork sliders along with a margarita, while I switched to a lemonade after my shot. The barbacoa quesadilla was excellent. The meat and cheese ratio was perfect, and everything tasted fresh. The pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream all complemented the quesadilla really well. I honestly had no complaints about my meal. The only hiccup during our visit was with my girl's pork sliders. The pork arrived cold, so we let the bartender know. At first, she thought the meat might have felt cold because of the coleslaw on the sliders, but after a brief conversation, she happily took them back and had a fresh order made. The replacement sliders came out with warm pork, and they were much better. Even the first batch tasted good, the only issue was that the meat wasn't warm enough. We appreciated that they made it right without any problems. One thing I thought was really interesting was their drink system. Every cocktail on the menu is served from a numbered tap. I've never seen that before, but I'm guessing it helps with portion control, reduces waste, and ensures every drink is made consistently. I thought it was a unique concept and a nice touch. One thing I also appreciated was the service. When it was time to pay for our meal, the bartender asked if I wanted a refill on my lemonade. I told her we were about to head to the movie theater, so I didn't need one. Then he offered to put my lemonade in a to-go cup so I could take it with me. I thought that was a really thoughtful gesture and a nice example of great customer service. Overall, we had a good experience. The food and drinks were both enjoyable, and the staff corrected the only issue we had with the sliders. I wouldn't hesitate to come back, and next time we'll probably give the games a chance. If you're looking for a place to grab some good food and drinks before a movie, Tipsy Putt is definitely worth checking out.

I took my number sign and found some space next to a couple playing card games on a bench inside. They had a self serve icewater area that I was able to fill up my water bottle. I was also able to grab some ketchup to enjoy those fries. My burger and fries was delivered and there were more fries than expected. I focused on those first because who like cold fries, right??? The fries were actually pretty good, an above average standard French fry with salt. The burger however was phenomenal. There was an amazing crust on the outside reminiscent of a backyard bbq. There was ample bacon, lettuce, cheese and sauce to make it a balanced bite. The bun was high end brioche style, they really went all out on quality of ingredients. A standard burger build but done perfectly! Beer was cold, food was great and the ambiance is a perfect local bar. Great spot to go if you don't mind hunting for a parking space.

I've been to the original many times, but this was my first at the Sacramento taproom and I loved my visit. It's located in a beautiful historic neighborhood right near the Capitol building. It feels like you're in a quiet area, but it's filled with people. They have outdoor seating, plus the main taproom counter, bar, and various tables. In the main taproom you'll find lots of takeout beer and the merchandise. I ordered a few new beers to try, always up to the consistently excellent quality. The staff were welcoming and friendly. It's a casual place, and you can choose your own seating. If you've never been to a Fieldwork, it's a great location.

It's a strange concept, but after you take a sip, you get it and will go back for more. Refreshing and pleasant to get in a half pour and have it break up between other beers. Tip: sip before you smell it. If you smell it first, you will think it's overwhelming but it's actually not. - cucumber melon juniper non-alcoholic mocktail - super refreshing and clean. Perfect for summer. - Pulp hazy IPA - light and pleasant All others had a similar taste and feel, and not a lot of distinguishing characteristics, though I sort of feel that way every time so come here. It's all similar but you find a few hidden gems. Pizza and pretzels are good. Service was great! Staff are super friendly and helpful with the beer tasting suggestions. Place was big enough for fit large groups to spread out comfortably.

However, through their Facebook page you can sign up for "VIP Loyalty" and get a couple of cool offers. The ones I could claim were a FREE Pretzel or a FREE One Sausage Platter. Older offers included FREE Custom Dog or FREE French Fries. These are available Sunday through Friday only, one offer per visit, not valid with any other offers, dine-in only. Show in person to staff and get a special code to redeem. I love their giant pretzels and sausage platters, and the fruity Starburst grapefruit radler beer with pom cider is such a summer vibe. Most recent visit was also able to catch the Argentina World Cup game on the projector. For my FREE offer I went with the one sausage platter (picked bratwurst and potato salad), then also got a 500mL Starburst and a pretzel with added bier cheese. Judi got the Berliner dog (curry and fries) and a cucumber salad, and we shared an order of the S'mores Belgie dessert! I will be back soon for my FREE pretzel, and I must remember to try the Starburst as a slushie/frozen!

You enter without truly knowing where to go or what to do, so be observant as there may be an actual line to order drinks and food, just don't cut someone off. Ordering was easy. Same window for beer and food. If you order food you're given a number that people deliver food. Came here for happy hour. I got myself a pretzel with add-on cheese, a pulled pork (seasonal) Belgie with fries, and I sampled other food that my friends ordered. Firstly, the 1L beer is worth it. Not happy hour prices., but well worth the volume. It definitely transported me back to my visit to Munich and the beer halls. Oh, I do miss the drunken singing of the Germans lol Secondly, the food was just okay. Pretzels were thankfully cheaper since it was happy hour but i paid $1 for the add-on cheese. The mustard combo sauce was great. I wish the pretzel was a bit bigger. I appreciated the warmth and the salt ratio; not overpowering. The Belgie (waffle sandwich) was also on happy hour. The texture of the waffle was great. Crisp exterior, soft interior. I ordered the seasonal pulled pork which was great in texture and decently portioned. It is a thick boy, so biting into it was a bit of a challenge. Ended up deconstructing the sandwich and used utensils. Sauce maybe would've been better on the side. Fries always win. No complaints though I wish I ordered the garlic fries... the smell was good. One thing I didn't get to try was their famous, Starbust drink which is a mix of beer, cider and some frosty, maybe. The color was intriguing and everyone seemed to order it around me. The misters were on, which was a blessing and a curse. Definitely helped cool me down, but also became a nuisance as the table and all my belongings got wet. Excited for their new location in Old Sac. Maybe a revised review in the future. Stay tuned.

If it wasn't for this "mission," there's a good chance I wouldn't have wandered in. I LOVE Sutter Street, but honestly I don't live nearby and don't have many reasons to come here. That said, I'm thankful for the mission and glad I dropped by. It's a super cute place and the bartender had a nice relaxed chill vibe to her. This is where I'd normally drop her name and give her kudos - but I didn't get her name. I thought her name would be on the receipt, but it wasn't! I assume her name isn't "Shift Night N" anyway, which would be weird - but that's what is listed for "server". Anyway... the burger... I liked it. I liked it a lot. I was not asked how I wanted it cooked (not expected or demanded by me) - but an observation that I toss in for comparison purposes. It was cooked to a solid medium, which is fine with me. Caramelized onions were standard - nice - but the tomato and lettuce were listed as 'optional' - and the bartender (Shift Night N) asked me if I wanted them. I opted in. The bun was above average - definitely a notch above the typical mass-produced buns often used elsewhere. I opted for sweet potato fries. They had good flavor. Personal preference-wise... I would have liked them to be cooked a smidge more. If/when I come back, I'll probably ask them to be crispy-er. Overall, thumbs up! I wouldn't hesitate to come back and try other things on the menu. #burgers
