    Chicken Marsala with penne
    Barbara Ann W.

Stopped for dinner just before the holidays and pleased to find it only moderately busy. Still, we waited somewhat awkwardly to be greeted, as the hostess was behind the desk and nobody else was waiting. Once recognized, we were seated in a very comfy booth and given menus. Our waiter was a lovely young man who took good care of us. I chose from the specials offered - Seafood Fra Diavolo. My date chose the Chicken Marsala, after much debating. The menu is very nice with several appealing options. My meal was good with plenty of fresh shrimp and scallops. The sauce was good but scant and not as spicy as the Fra Diavolo to which I am accustomed. It was a generous portion and I took some of the pasta home to doctor-up the next day. The Marsala was devoured in its entirety and very well received. It appeared to have a generous amount of mushrooms, which would have pleased me, had I ordered it. I'll definitely return and try some of the regular offerings. The menu has something for everyone and this is a local, family run establishment in my new community.

Real hole in the wall! A lot of variety and great food for the price. Also have a bar area with the typical beer wine and spirits. Definitely an affordable alternative to most places in town

Bad food, absurd prices for what they deliver. My pasta is an absolute joke for $14.

The buffalo chicken mac and cheese is great when the blue cheese crumbles are remembered, the chicken birria tacos can be flavorful but often missing the chipotle sauce or broth (or both!), and the southern fried chicken is frequently missing the gravy. The baja fish tacos can be soggy with inconsistent portions, and the honey mustard wrap is often more salad than chicken. Checking your order before leaving can help prevent some of these oversights. And again, when the kitchen gets these things right, you're in for a delicious meal. Some other items we love that haven't become takeout blunders yet include the burgers, the nashville hot chicken sandwich, the greek salad, and garlic parm fries. The southwest steak and avocado bowl, however, is overpriced for the small amount of steak, and the vegetable sides need much more seasoning. Overall, this place has a lot of potential and some truly great menu items, but the lack of consistency makes it hard to fully recommend.

This wasn't my first time at 45, I've had a graduation party there before. However, it did remind me I have to go back more often. The restaurant itself is nice. Plenty of parking and lots of room inside of the building. They have many rooms for functions set up as well. Our waitress was Nikki, and she's fantastic. Great personality, bubbly, and helpful. I was very happy to have her! This night I ordered the chicken Loretta but had it over pasta. This was probably one of the best dishes I've had in a while. The pasta was cooked expertly, chicken was nice and crisp, and the ricotta mixture was the perfect amount of creamy. I would highly recommend Restaurant 45 to anyone who wants a great meal!

The interior is inviting with a large dining room, and the hostess was welcoming right away. Service stood out--attentive, consistent, and professional throughout the meal. The menu is extensive, almost to a fault, but it works in your favor if you're indecisive. They were out of one of the surf and turf specials, but with so many options it wasn't an issue. Drinks were well done--the spring sangria was a highlight and worth ordering again. We started with bread and truffle-style fries. The fries were overcooked and a bit too hard, but still flavorful and a generous portion. For mains, the short rib was pretty good and well-prepared. The chicken and broccoli leaned a little heavy on the garlic but was still enjoyable. Steak tips looked solid, and the fish and chips were another strong dish. Prices were a bit on the higher side, but for the amount of food and variety, it felt reasonable overall. In the end, not a bad spot at all for a suburban restaurant. A few minor misses, but plenty of positives. Definitely a place worth coming back to.

A steak done right is a steak cooked the way the customer requested. When I called to complain, my options were to drive back to the restaurant or wait for an email that never arrived. My dear wife wanted a burger and onion rings and our usual place closed, so we decided on Longhorn. Rings are called onion petals and were way too salty, so were the french fries. Burger was requested at medium and she received a rare cook. I had chicken medallions with some lemon sauce, but the medallions were about the size of a half dollar and the entree had four little chicken pieces. Rice pilaf was only item not salty and a caesar salad. I know costs are up due to fuel costs, but the meal was just so-so. Blame it on the Administration for the high costs of food. Will go back to our original place next time.
